Admission letter is nothing. What matters is your I-20. If your school doesn't mail out adm letters, you have nothing to worry about. Send them the financial packet and await your I-20. But ensure to take a printed copy of your adm letter to the consulate.

Please I would to ask some questions, as a student in the US, if my hubby wants to come visiting in December 2014 to return in January 2015, and also he plans coming to the US for his masters August 2015, is it OK to say he is coming to visit his wife who is a student in December 2014 when he will still have to apply for F1 in July 2015. And he sponsored his wife. And he is going to sponsor himself.

Or can he say he is visiting a friend and not disclose his wife in the US, what are his chances?

He has no problem visiting his wife who is a student in the US. All he needs is good financial statement and home ties (A job in Nigeria )

Babalola1990: the answer is "No one here knows". It is best to contact WES directly for clarification. I equally have mine evaluated with the ICAP but I'm not sure if they save records. As said, better to ask WES

Getting a debit card is easy. Go to your bank and apply for master or visa card. It doesn't take more than one week to get. Have them activate it for online and international transactions and you are good to go.

NEWS: Operatives of Kaduna and Katsina command of the Nigerian Custom Service, yesterday, destroyed a truckload of dried bush meat suspected to be monkey meat smuggled into the country by a yet to be identified smuggler.

Speaking when he led others to set the seized meat ablaze, Customs Comptroller of Federal Operations Unit (FOU, Zone B), Maina Tijjani Suleiman said the truck was intercepted Thursday morning at the Katsina border.

Suleiman said the truck contained 351 bags of bush meat and that each of the bags weighed 100Kg, stressing that the seized meat may have come from Libya.

He insisted that the seizure was necessary in view of the current challenge of the dreaded Ebola disease, noting that had the meat made its way to Nigerian markets, “only God will tell the extent of damage it may cause.”

He warned importers of similar products to desist from doing such or face the full wrath of the law, assuring that the customs would not shirk from its responsibility of supporting the ongoing fight against Ebola.

“The driver abandoned the vehicle and ran away after he was chased by our men. But then, some hoodlums attempted to attack our men and it took the reinforcement of operatives before the truck was retrieved.”

In a speech, the Katsina State commissioner of health, Mannir Talba, who lauded operatives of Nigerian customs for the seizure, said it was the needed step in the collective resolve to prevent the spread of Ebola.

I'v done all the paper work at the HR and I'v been authorized to start work while awaiting my SSN. I really appreciate you guys.

If you want to transfer, can you go to the cc direct and then inform the school on your passport you are transferring ? Or going to the college on your passport, then transfer later. Which one is better please guys how best can this be done successfully?

Go straight to the ISSO of the school on your visa. Make sure you are with the I-20 of the CC. Show it to them and tell them you are transferring your SEVIS info to the CC. They have no reason not to oblige. Make sure you go before resumption date of both schools.
