Shma2023: You're still peddling HOT AIR.
go and check what IMF is saying about Debt servicing to revenue ratio.
We can't ignore your debt to GDP which also approaching 104% --- just go and confirm it with Your father IMF: https://www.imf.org/en/Countries/GHA
Ghana joined HIPC initiative in 2004. The 11th country in Africa to fall under heavily indepted poor country initiative. By then, Ghana was floating on gold - I wonder how that thing became it. I don't think Resource is the issue here; backward leadership and poor microfinance management killed your country. Hobbits should start thinking and make their resources in use.
Good, Ghana tried and pull itself from HIPC some years back - WB came up with a report disqualifying Ghana from HIPC in 2020 - 3 yrs ago.
In 2023-- Ghana has just signed itself in HIPC again. Ghana is poor and heavily indepted. 2023 and part of 2022 has been your terrible year.
We're not mates. I believe you didn't see Nigeria, Kenya, or SA on the list. Only Ghana, Togo, Zambia, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Niger and the like. Bunch of nonsense even in the fact of fact from the very institution that explained what the list is... I'm not surprised, coming from a guy who doesn't know the difference between debt servicing to revenue and debt to GDP |

Shma2023: How is proximity got to do with me calling out a tiny over-hyped structure? Your country does not have something like that .... It's the second of it kind in Africa 😂 Proximity means people do not have to drive for an hour or 2 hours to access a major hospital. This means it makes no sense to put a 2,000 to 4,000 bed facility somewhere where people will drive for kilometers to access . The sensible thing to do is to 4 or more of it of 500 to 1000 bed in various part of the country |

Shma2023: Focus on the elephant in the room. There is a thin line between revenue and GDP. That's not to say debt to GDP = debt to revenue. The last time I checked, Ghana's debt servicing to revenue was playing at about 81%. --- The latter was doing 23% --- from 2021 WB data. This mean, Ghana is in debt distress.
Mind you, you had to check in to HIPC( heavily indebted poor countries initiative) to receive baby care like an irrelevant country. Heck, only 25 well-known extremely backward nations are in that initiative.
https://www.imf.org/en/About/Factsheets/Sheets/2023/Debt-relief-under-the-heavily-indebted-poor-countries-initiative-HIPC
Now differentiate zoos -- from well-established countries.
Ghana's debt has consistently risen by a whopping 70% from 2010 -10yrs ago. Equate it with development devoidness, lack of standard world-class infrastructures, unlimited arable land, Gold, and extremely low population.
Heck! Ghana spent almost 80% -- 78% of the revenue to service interest & amortization. This means, no serious development will be seen in ghana in the next decade! The country will sink deep into debt and get fed as a child under the HIPC initiative. Ghana debt servicing to revenue for the last 3 years been within the range of 30 to 45% So cry for Kenya for getting to that huge level This is the World Bank state telling you Ghana is not HIPC https://www.myjoyonline.com/ghana-is-not-hipc-world-bank/#:~:text=Ghana%20was%20among%20the%20countries,it%20said%20in%20a%20statement. I know you like other countries joining you in your misery but Ghana has not gotten to to the 80% level of Kenya on interest and amortization

vankelvin: Tema really needs that hospital
We need to turn our focus of that city and build it according to the original plan. By now Tema should be competing with the best cities in Accra Which is mostly industrial TDC needs to rebuild community 1, 2, 4 just like they are doing to 3 ... They've outlived their usefulness. They can do this by offering a scheme where people give up their old houses and get a new one at either a tiny cost or free just like the Russians have done. |

vankelvin: These pictures are that of the Koforidua Regional Hospital. Last week I was in Koforidua ad was impressed with the level of work. Its almost completed
Also because of the hospital they have started work of the Koforidua housing project that halted since 2009 That's good ... I'm waiting for the Tema General hospital to begin as well as the Labadi one. I feel like Tema has too many hospitals for it population and One specialist hospital is Enough, adding Tema general will be a waste of resources. |

ProblemChild1: Ghana is a ZOOO We know Nigeria is a Zoo but you don't have to drag everyone to that level Misery should not always have company 🤣😂🤣 If I were to be a Nigerian, I'll be more than worry as the country debt servicing crossed 90% of revenue especially when it can't really raise revenue without insighting a revolution cause Nigerians feel they don't get anything from the country hence don't see the need to pay tax to it. |

Shma2023: Ghana is formally seeking financial assistance from bilateral creditors. Not really Basically, the IMF is going to buy all of Ghana's debt for Pennies on the dollar and sell it to BlackRock and Blackrock will put it on people's 401k as ESG debt That's a smart move 😂🤣 |

Shma2023: Explain what you just said in comparison with Ghana. 10 MKs
I will debunk it if it's gibberish.
Ghana's debt to revenue is 101% --- IMF just gave you 104%, Wow!
Kenya is targeting to grow tax revenue above 18% --- more than $30B of GDP this year. Policies have been put in place and everyone is feeling it. Our debt ceiling will be pushed to less than 55% by 2025. Ghana by then will be approaching 200% debt to revenue and it be better not than south Sudan. Ghana debt service to revenue is 40%.. wages and compensation takes another 40% of Ghana revenue. So Ghana is highly in the limit of servicing it debt. Kenya is doing 80% of debt servicing to revenue ... Wages and compensation takes another 60% of Kenya revenue... So you have an even bigger problem than you know I hope you get to learn the difference between debt to revenue and debt to GDP 🤣😂 If you're expecting a cabinet member to badmouth his govt, then you don't understand the politics in your country |

vaxx: from a reliable source, some banks are rejecting it . And even some filling station . Some of them are aware but prefer the lies.
If you want to know yourself , call anybody in Nigeria closed to you for the information. In the informal sector, the old notes are gradually being rejected.
Don't believe me , call someone you know in Nigeria for authentic information. hmm |
