rvp20182: I don't remember saying he was a friend. I was CS 2nd yr student - were supposed to look for an internship. My dad took me straight to Telkom Kenya - there was no much mobile then - I was given a white overall and placed under the printing department. That afternoon - we sat there - the whole floor of Teleposta towers - shoving papers to this huge printer that was printing monthly receipts. That printer occupied the entire wing..Teleposta towers is taller than anything in Ghana. In the evening we got summoned to 20th floor - we took a lift- and we were told we had to apply -properly for internship - not use patronage. Long story short - my friend told me this small firm - was looking for interns - I went there and got "hired" - we were being 50 dollars a month. I worked there for 2-3 months -doing pension fund systems. Then I went back - and then lectures went on a strike - and I found myself an intern at UN Nairobi. And by 3rd year I was earning 1,000 dollars !! man those were my best days of my life. Living in hostels - and yet earning 1,000 dollars - was freaking crazy. I use to party and screw them girls like crazy...until I meet my current wife. Soon they jacked my salary to 1,500 dollars...and I bought my house in Nairobi as 24yrs old...after being forced by some kenyan women to save in UN Sacco. They literally dragged me and had me signed off like 3/4 of my salary to the SACCO. Come to think about it - I have only rented for two years - those days Moi was the president of Kenya.
vaxx: well , as a computer science on an attachment, you are not allowed to be a developer perse but a learner. you are there to learn what is practical in job market, you don't install, you participate in the installing that is what student on attachment does. unless the film you are sent to do your attachment is very backward and remote to the extent of you knowing more than the organization . so stop making a ridiculous lie. Ghanaian are way smarter.. I have work many student who study informatic and I know how it works
it seems in Kenya , the word socal and responsibility dies not have anything to do with pensioner. your country is a joke
rvp20182: Maybe I designed, developed and installed all those pension management softwares without any clue what I was doing - like an Ashante King paying Brits 79B dollars not their pink bums on his gold stolen.
Nigerians maybe are almost :cursed: but Ghana stupidity is now obviously legendary.
Obstinate like a dead block of wood.
One you know nothing about Computer Softwares (you can only tell those lies to your fellow Kenyan)
Here in Ghana, the institution mandated by law to handle direct pension deductions from workers salaries is the Social Security and National Insurance Trust while private Pension managers handle Tier 2 and 3 contributions of workers.
Kenya does not still have a pension fund as you said
rvp20182: Lie to yourself. My first attachment or internship was to build a pension fund management system. I installed it in many pension funds including Alexander Forbes - the South African giant in these things. I was a 2nd-year computer science major student then.
Please understand the difference btw social security and pension fund.
Kenya pensions funds are under RBA - Retirement Benefits Authority.
Social security is social - for helping informal sector - nothing serious. Definitely not a pension fund.
I guess you don't understand what a pension is then
rvp20182: Your pension cum social security is mere 9B Ghana cedis - that is less than our social security. Don't talk about the pension. That concept is too difficult for you. In S S Africa pension scene - we have South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya and Namibia. Nigeria is there just because of it's population.
There are 3 contributions Asset under management with SSNIT is 15 billion Cedis while Tier 2 and 3 contribution is also 22 billion cedis under pension managers Fund.
rvp20182: And what makes you think NSSF doesn't have estates all over. NSSF actually long left such ventures - and now invest in equities and bonds. We have NHC - National Housing Corp that build estates all over.
understand social security versus pension please. This video from NSSF kenya will make it clear.
rvp20182: 3B as pension fund is small potato. You don't have a pension. You have social security. Big difference. Kenya pays 3-4B annually as a public pension. If that was to be funded..we are talking maybe 40b dollars.
We don't count social security as a pension - outside your primitive region.
Pension is money deducted from workers salary monthly until they retire
rvp20182: Lost income is pension. Social security is social...little help. NSSF in kenya is worth more than your pension fund. For public servant - we pay anything 4B dollars for pension - annual. It's not part of NSSF. It directly taken from our revenues - because we haven't funded our pension yet. But we cannot call SOCIAL security - PENSION like West African ZOO!!
Our NSSF investment dwarf anything your little joke does...and yet we pay 10 dollars each to it...informal sector pay 5 dollars monthly.
So basically kenya does not have a pension fund
Ghana Tier 1 pension size is 3 billion while tier 2 and 3 which is managed by the private sector under NPRA is 3 billion.
50% of your budget which is 15 billion dollars is finance by Aid, Grants and DEBT
and 30% of it is going into DEBT servicing That is how bad your finances are
slowpoke
kikuyu1: Nigga, are you talking to yourself!? Your previous post stated 30% of the budget was for debt servicing. This place is an echo chamber for morons.
samorobo: I know right..same way rvp was trying to use some resort tucked far way from mombasa in Diana beach to represent the arabian shanty slum "Mombasa"
