rvp20182: Understand future contracts. It not what you consume now. But what you promised to consume. If you promised N-Gas that in 2020 we will ramp up import and tomorrow you discover gas behind your office desk - you're bleeped. You still have to pay N-gas for the years you signed - 10 or 20 yrs. the contract we have with N-GAS says N-gas supplies us 120 million standard cubic feet of gas per day and get paid below market value for the gas. totally in our interest though the price of the gas has been renegotiated so many time by N-gas . that is not a futures contract anymore. we are not dumb like your country |

rvp20182: Airline like any transport business is OIL OIL OIL. That is why Emirates are beating everyone with free oil. Airline major cost is JET FUEL. Emirates is not beating everyone because of aviation fuel that they dont get free they are beating everyone because they have a solid business plan that bought the airline market to a huge extent. |

You signed an exploration deal with Tullow that says that all cost of the Exploration will be paid for by the Kenyan government (Your government was so desperate to chop OIL MONEY) should in case the Exploration company fail to find oil or decide to leave after the exploration process if the discovered oil is not of commercial value. Now your government owe 2 billion pay Tullow fast. Tullow will be in the oil business even in the next 50 years but just not in Kenya rvp20182: Exploration is a risk an investor takes - and it only count once we sign a FID - final investment decision - and at that point tullow wanted to say they had invested 2B dollars in Turkana - so they had to recoup that first - before they start paying taxes and royalties- we told them it was more like 1B dollars.
Anyway Tullow will not exist in a year time.
Let talk other important things.
We are done with Oil - we missed that bus - not happening. |

rvp20182: This year you start paying 850M dollars for excess fart from Nigeria. I hope that drive the point home. 120scb does not cost 850M dollars dumb dumb we consume almost 800 120 million standard cubic feet of gas per day which comprise of 450 million free gas from Ghana Gas which has ( 1.7 Trillion cubic feet of Gas as Reserves) 120 million standard cubic feet of gas per day from Nigeria 230 million standard cubic feet of gas per day from Rosneft as LNG That is a whole industry larger than Kenyan export by 2 |

rvp20182: That wrong prognosis. KQ was sunk by oil futures. The same way Ghana is .fu.cked by such contracts. KQ was already dead because of it huge operation cost and tinny revenue that didn't meet their cost of operation, just like SGR. |

rvp20182: We owe Tullow Nothing. Once they start production - they are bankrupt - they wanted to factor 2B as sunk cost. But now they are themselves SUNK. I hope Ghana has plan B. They sold Uganda Oil for 0.5B dollars. Tullow has left your oil scene and will not produce your oil no credible company will invest in it for the next 10 years Keep dreaming. Your government again signed a contract that laid all cost of exploration on them Now they owe 2 billion dollars. Tullow does not have much problem in Ghana, than the fact that Ghana did not take up the free gas from the field they are producing because of works on Ghana Gas pipeline and other factors. |

rvp20182: You discovered you gas - after forcing Nigerians to build a pipeline all the way and promising to import X cubic of gas. These future contracts like any other contract are the foundation of MODERN commerce. Nobody will allow you to escape. Because you'll make all future contracts USELESS.
The fact that you discovered your own gas later is IRRELEVANT like a fart. Smelly but irrelevant. You take Nigeria gas first - and your gas later. Nigeria saw the business sense in Joining us build a gas pipeline so that they dont flare Gas again the pipeline is to supply 120scb of gas now Ghana Gas supplies us with 450scb of Gas and if Nigeria is able, they can add their 120scb and we will be in short of 200scb which is provided by our LNG regasification plants. smart investment, securing our energy needs for the next 100 years. too bad Kenya power is poor and bankrupted such that it cant even buy anything with government Chinese loans. |

now you are coughing stupid noise KQ that has never made profit was what (profitable in the world) joke of the century. so broke KQ used government money to go and buy oil futures contract stupidity never seize in your country. rvp20182: When Ethiopian ariline was making losses - KQ was most profitable airline in the world. That was 2010-2012 - then in 2014 when Oil was at 140 - KQ bought oil futures - then Oil crashed. KQ was left holding oil future contracts for whopping 140 dollars.
KQ in 2010s was winning awards left right and center.
And it's still the most successful privatization of an airline in kenya.
One mistake - and they were kaput. |

rvp20182: Your own GAS is a waste of money and engineering. Engineering is least of your problem. It the FORWARD/FUTURE contract you signed. Like now - I can make you sign that in 2030 you'll pay me 100B dollars - and you may agree - thinking 2030 is too far - but soon it's 2030. We are not as dumb as you We signed a gas contract at a highly subsidized price that is more advantageous to us. Now Ghana Gas is our largest Gas supplier Bankrupt country we have so much gas on our hand such that, we mat have to export Gas if we dont have the capacity to consume it though our petroluem laws says we cant flare or sell gas. ENI gas field is coming onboard Explorco gas field is coming onboard Springfield gas field in coming onboard GNPC gas field in coming onboard. go back to your googling and learn current natural gas prices, you seem to be confusing it with oil |

rvp20182: Aid or grants make up 0.1% of gov budget. The NGOs yes have made Nairobi their HQ - because we are the beacon of hope - in a region with hopeless nations. But it's not only NGOS - private sectors, multinationals - like to work from Nairobi - because we are modern country without any forex controls. You bring dollars and take as much as you want. 50% of kenya's budget is aid and grants |
