rvp2018: Kenya vibrant MV industry start from body building for buses, truck, trailers, motor cycles, spare parts before we even get CKD and FBU - and most are export to the Eastern Africa region.
Try compare Ghana with Uganda.
Not kenya. Most of our assemblers are doing CKD and are mostly for the Ghanaian market until they are done with their expansion to a combine utilisation capacity of 60,000 as both local and export demand keep increasing. Those other things are massively done by fabrication companies all over Tema and Takoradi |

rvp2018: Unlike your almost alway bankrupt then military dictatorship kenya has always had vibrant MV industry - the whole shebang. Kenya has never had .... I won't call 3,000 production and 5,000 new cars purchased a vibrant MV industry From the 60s to the 80s or 90s, almost 90% of vehicles used in Ghana assemble here. |

In SSA
South Africa. Nigeria. Kenya Zimbwabwe
In Africa - throw Morroco, Algeria and Egypt
Ghana you are still an infant neither has Kenya gotten there yet.... Infact we started assembling cars before your country could even grow the capacity Ghana remains above you in production... Even your VW produced just 28 cars for last year |

rvp2018: They can't even build bodies for buses or trailer for trucks - leave alone assemble CKD or do FBU. Their car production industry is at infancy - most of them were launched last year or this year. Yet Neoplan before being shut down had produced 4,000 plus high duty hard body buses. VW hit it 5,000 production mark or close to it which has led them to increase their capacity to 25,000 in a second phase. Leading Nissan to immediately set up at 31,000 production facility Pejo a 4,500 facility 30,000 plus new cars registered is good enough for manufacturers to be attracted |

Kenya export the rest to Uganda, TZ, and even India I think lies ... Ava only produce 3,000 on a good year And VW do 28 Sold new cars in Kenya was 5,133 for 2021 When you meet your fellow ignoramus you can tell those lies to them |

rvp2018: You're trying from literally zero. one kenya car assembler - AVA - has like 40 brands . https://ava.co.ke/company/ The plant was inaugurated in 1975 and has an installed production capacity of 30,000 units per annum. It accounts for approximately 65 percent of all assembled vehicles in Kenya. To date, AVA has produced more than 150,000 vehicles. 3,000 per good year and VW 28 |

Kenya about 15,000.Nigeria 30,000.South Africa produces 0.5m.Please facts are sacrosanct.Dont make this thread a madhouse I like the way you keep lying to yourself... New cars sold in Kenya was only 5,133 for 2021. Now I see why you're desperate. In 2021, there were 11,494 new vehicles sold in Ghana by various brands..This does not include new vehicles imported by individuals. In total, the vehicle licensing authority in Ghana licensed 320,000 plus vehicles for 2021 out of which 33,000 were new vehicles Figures and not assumptions

AfriqueDuZuid: Capacity is not equal to what you produce! Again how much does cars does Nissan Ghana assemble? Yes ... That is the production capacity theyll be doing at full stream... Currently they're doing just 2 stream. So you're looking at 22,000 plus... Voltswagon first phase has been producing 4,000plus cars and it 2nd phase is under construction to add additional 20,000. Kia is also in the process of setting up to produce 10,000 units Ghana is actually in the process of banning used cars import |
