That was mostly what 18 million east African slaves sent to the Arab world was used for |

68816419: What happened to Dangote's deal with Ghana? Also, the refinery's capacity is virtually the same as that of the BUA Refinery, which is about 200,000 bpd. he had just a goodwill understanding .... He had an expectation that because Ghana required a lot of fuel and it refineries weren't operating fully at the time , then Ghana will immediately be a client. But Ghana's demand is growing substantially so one way or another, we may have to take some from Dangote Yes.. just the 100,000bpd is enough to meet Ghana's need meaning we also have excess capacity that will have to be exported. Just like how we've joined Nigeria's gas export deal to Morocco and Europe onwards to create demand for the gas that we currently have too much off, we are currently carting clients for refined products. |

rvp20182: Srilanka started a year like Ghana.. seeing they couldn't get dollars they became paragon of organic farming and other crazy ideas... eventually they grinded to halt..Now they are belly up depending on India generosity. What important is for Ghana to admit like new Zambia gov their mess and work to repair the broken trust. It require very trustworthy reform minded new political class that can face the world and say we sorry ..we fcked ..we will pay all debt and will never fck..work with imf and creditors to sort issues in at least a decade when china is busy asking the Saudis to join their PetroYuan system and kill the *dollar with gold as the medium of exchange, traded on the Shanghai exchange under BRICs until the BRICs reserve currency can be fully implemented ... You're here still thinking like a sheep Everyone see where the shift is happening towards including the IMF no wonder they want to move to Beijing. More trade has shifted away from the dollar. Ghana just effectively created 6 billion dollars worth of cedi demand |

We all know Arabs/Asians have massive influence on Kenyans so you fancy their way of life but here in Ghana we love the Western stuffs. The kind that is so strong such that it attracts big funds like Franklin Templeton Investment to buy debt traded in Ghana. From the look of how fast Ghana recovery has been.... Ghana will be back in the market around 3rd or 4th quarter of 2023... It bond holders want her back as soon as next year |

Ghana decided in November, 2022 to use gold to purchase oil products from the international market rather than the US Dollar in a major policy decision in order to help stabilize the local currency, the Cedi. what is left is for the country to lunch a futures market and a strong bond market of it own.....
