Girl360: Lol where are you getting your info from?
Lol I'm offering B.A. Econs, Maths and Accounting, which means I'm taking courses from the Business school, department of economics and the school of physical and mathematical sciences.
Yet, I never attended a single interview. The whole application process was even done online.
And the only law students who go for interviews are the postgraduates. you dont know about it because it wasnt conducted in your year group It was conducted in 2013 for business programmes |

Girl360: Lol that's not true.
It's only medical students that go through interviews.
And no, you don't need an aggregate 6 to come to UG. That's for some specific courses like medicine.
You just have to get a C and above in your Wassce.
You can also check the UG website for application requirements for international students.
@ Silva79 you are right but on most occasions , the number of people applying for a particular programme can be higher than the spaces available and its not medicine alone. Law students get to take an interview , economics as well. The business schools also does conduct and interview |

Jregz: Talking about how much of a language you know on a public forum sounds like pride. So I'd leave that. As a matter of fact, I know other languages (Spanish and French) , so it's safe to say I understand English pretty damn well. If you know what it means to understand any of the aforementioned languages, you'd know what I mean The French are salvages i do speak Spanish and Hausa, learning German. |

erico2k2: Try This http://dictionary.cambridge.org/pronunciation/english/cuplearning or speaking a particular way does not amount to one being brilliant at the command of spoken English, your accent does not dictate your fluency in English Language,Only silly people think so. FYI there are loads of dialect in spoken English. The only standard one in teh Uk is the one spoken in England. so after checking the pronounciations there , you still think it sound like COP...? in Ghana , English is either the 3rd od 2nd most spoken language. Our local tongues rule supreme If you want to speak someones language, speak it well |

Exciton: What the fvck is wrong with us in Nigeria
When are we shut down Aso Rock and demand for good schools for our children Even the expensive education the privileged few get in Nigeria is absolutely worthless.
We are the most foolish people in the world. Our GDP is higher than these African countries, yet they have better schools, better transport systems, better security, better everything!
But we'll sit back and let useless old unenlightened thieves ruin the future of our children unborn.
The smart Nigerian child has little chances of exploring his potential and chasing after his dreams because his useless country won't provide the equipment and environment necessary for learning and creativity. His only option is to become an autodidact and hope for scholarships from foreign countries or if he's lucky, his parents can afford to send him outta the rotten nation.
What the fvck is more important than the future of our children?
Fvcking useless people. Always arguing about useless tribes, useless religions and useless political parties. I'm angry I was born in a nation of 200 million spineless functional illiterates.
The worst part is that some are still arguing that their respective shithole they graduated from is better than this. Dont rant like this in the air, You can help by continuously ranting to the government through a letter to the office of the President. |

benji93: I beg jo, no 1 is not really a criteria for measuring the quality of education offered at a uni.How do you mean by basic infrastructures. If na power, then its not really a university issue, its a national issue. With regards to basic education, there is not much ug can offer, yes they have the noguchi memorial institute which is actually thriving, but university of ghana is better known for humanities than science and technology. They began offering education in the sciences not too long ago.The faculty of Engineering buildings looks pretty nice, but it has close to no required tech talkless of advanced tech.In 2013, they overadmitted students into the faculty of Engineering, over 350 students. I guess they realized it and admitted less students in the year 2014.You can have over 10 students sharing a set of apparatus during experiments, sometimes 1 apparatus for a multitude of students. For ghana's premier university, you should expect a well planned newly developed faculty, but tht cannot be said of UG. But there is 1 advantage though, there are no strikes, which is characteristic of Nigerians uni, and if any occurs, it usually takes a short time to be addressed.I can vouch for the stability, and i know thts what most of my Nigerian folks think. But there is no reason dramatizing the quality of education unis in Ghana offer. There are not so many unis in Ghana, and there are fewer unis(about 5 major unis), so the government should be up to task to manage them, this is the reason why the admission criteria is high for public schools(the best students attend the public schools-both secondary and tertiary),there are some private schools though on par or even better than the public schools, just with less internaitonal reputation..I dont understand the high influx of Nigerian students into unis in Ghana,i can understand KNUST and Uni of Ghana, but zenith college and co,i dont know what to say.I am not condemning any skul here, i am only stating the fact of quality,Nigerians are so in love with Ghanaian schools, that they would rather get into one, even if its just an aggregate of buildings. May God help us all, but i just want to clear the air, University of ghana is not better than Nigerian federal universities, and mind you i am more wound in the Ghanaian fabric than you can think of.I attended Uni of Ghana as a domestic student(Engineering) before i left, and i resided at commonwealth hall(VANDAL CITY) so i know exactly what is happening there. Their system is as ineffective as ours these days, the system should understand the needs of the people and integrate it where and when suitable, but the system decided that no other time was better for Engineering program at ghana's premier university than the 21st century.I guess the system was sleeping through the 20th century. The tuition fee for international students is far too much for its worth in my opinion. All ghana uni hopefuls i wish you all the best. Of course we all know it has it own problems that are not so unique to it. The lecture room interactions that is taking long to change and modify and the note that are changing at a very slow pace |

If schools are rated on how nice the structures are, many won't go to school. The school is best known for it school of Law, Medicine, Business and the Social Sciences it has conducted many medical researches and has contributed to many more. It is now a research facility and it host a lot more research facilities. You have to check their websites |

emmasege: You are very right. I'm reliably informed that he cancelled the continued implementation of OAU master plan. He was quoted thus : "how can this kind of school be in the south". As beautiful as OAU is, it's just one of the three phases in the master plan, as conceived by late Obafemi Awolowo. Successive governments have not helped the situation either as they always play the politics of one university per region whenever they were to do some developmental projects. Anytime such politics is played, two out of the five first generation universities in Nigeria pay for it, usually OAU & UNILAG. Until Nigeria decides to fund massively her flagship universities (UI, OAU, UNILAG, UNN & ABU) and jettison regional politics, the likes of Ghana, Kenya, Uganda etc will always parade world-class universities while we are here fighting for who the king is in the country of the blind. True talk, certain things need to be discuss in the national interest. Pretty soon almost every university in Ghana will be stopped from accessing funds from the government as they are deemed highly profitable businesses to sustain themselves. Government of Ghana current focus in on Secondary Schools, Over a hundred Elite schools will be refinanced to their former glory. The Nigerian government need to rebuild it schools and make sure they can sustain themselves, it shouldn't be watching the infrastructure of public in the state of rot they are in right now. Also they should remove their claws from the school management process |

priceaction: They have cool structures, i love the environment also. Every building has a lobby and a space for hang outs and partying. I was there last year and was impressed with what i saw, but very expensive too especially to foreigners, as i heard. One of the reasons why the school can fund itself and has therefore stoped taking Government subventions |
