And all other social wrongs you can think off.
Uncivilized living as well

and i bet you've met all of the 2 million undecided

There are 180 million Nigerians in Nigeria, so you just have 1% of the population you're judging.

That's how Ghanaians said Nse-Ikpe Etim doesn't sound Nigerian, how?
I've come across a lot more Nigerians to form a perspective
I don't need to meet all 180m of you to know how you behave and speak

which Nigerians? There is a variation in Nigeria as far as accents go.

However, feel free to watch movies like 76, The Wedding Party, Fifty, amongst others for an idea on the average Nigerian accent.
How many Nigeria do we have in this world?
I'm talking about both educated Nigerians and those who have never been in a classroom before.

I don't need a movie to identify how Nigerians speak.
There are 2million Nigerians in Ghana.

Can I see your own list? Have you interacted with people from these nations? The problem you can point out is that you are likely to have interacted with uneducated Nigerian and you mistaken him or her for educated one, you know why? Educated or not, Nigerians are 'toosh' unfortunately no African nation can beat that, hence south Africans and Ghanaians beefing
i have a Nigerian friend in Ghana who attended school in Nigeria from Primary level to Edo State University and He did Chemistry. He speaks good English but his pronunciations of most words are often wrong. I work in the Telecom industry and i meet uneducated Nigerians all the time and their kind of English is horrible , even though i understand them. i'm only able to do this because i had my primary education in Liberia and i can say, Liberia's kind of American English is the worse.
i've been with South Africans and some East Africans , i can say they speak very good English
when you listen to their pronunciations.

for most Nigerians to mention deɪtə as Dartar ......(Data)
i can say its a new level of insanity

I don't know the yard stick used in arriving at that but I want to strongly disagree with the list.
I interact on daily basis with Kenyans, Ethiopians, Ugandans, Ghanaians, Cameroonians, south Africans, Zimbabweans and of course Nigerians. All graduates of their different countries.
1. You can hardly understand what an Ugandan is saying because of their heavy accent.
2. Cameroon understandably is French speaking nation but those who speak English among do better than Uganda graduates
3. Ethiopians are not bad only that they have this kind of Hausa accent and therefore tend to pronounce words wrongly
4. Ghanaians speak good English, they are not forming only that they like competing with Nigeria but South Africa is better than them.
5. I still feel Zimbabwe speaks fluent, clear English than south Africa
6. Kenyans are a little better than Ghanaians
7. Nigeria has the best accent when it comes to speaking English. We like forming but Europeans and Americans feel comfortable when we speak compared to the aforementioned.

My list
Nigeria
Zimbabwe
South Africa
Kenya
Ghana
Ethiopia
Cameroon
Uganda
your list is bullshit because
Nigerians have the worse pronunciations

Don't let their intonation fool you.. I have Ghanaian cousins - I currently have spent the last 4 months with two of them (in Nigeria), I also had Ghanaians in secondary school . Their spoken English is terrible, intonation itself makes me want to slap the living hell off them
Because you have heard the wrong thing over and over and again , so you now accept it to be correct. so no matter how correct someone sounds, you will think it is wrong.
The fact is, You Nigerians have the worse pronunciations

There is nothing wrong with speaking the English Language. The problem is that we relegated our indigenous languages to the background. But then, how do you want an extremely diverse country to communicate effectively and properly? In Akwa Ibom, an Oron indigene knows Ibibio, however, the Ibibios don't know the Oro Language. Can please tell me how you want both parties to communicate effectively? Don't tell me both should speak Ibibio, as the Oro people prefer speaking their language than speaking another. What about Cross River where an Atam person doesn't know Efik and vice versa? What about Rivers where the Ijaws speak a different language from the Eastern Obolos and the Igboid group Ikwerre? What about Delta? The diversity (which is actually a good thing) calls for a common language - either Pidgin or English language. But to expect everyone to speak their native language calls for confusion. Babel will be a child's play.

Additionally, unfortunately, we have not utilized our use of the English language to proper economic value. Unlike India, Philippines or even Kenya which utilized the language for their BPO business, we don't even when we speak a proper form of the English language than them (Indians). By now, we should be the numero uno in the outsourcing industry. A suggestion will be to legalise the speaking/use of our native languages. Examples include Switzerland, Singapore etc. But that works effectively when it is four languages and few ethnic groups not 250+ ethnic groups and a plethora of languages. The use of WAZOBIA will be like an imposition on the minorities. Another will be teach our children (at home not school) - (from 3-6 years native languages of both parents - if they are of different ethnic groups). Research shows that the younger one is, the likelihood of learning a new language. But that shouldn't stop the teaching and usage of the English Language - properly.

So sir, let's continue the use of the English language - properly and economically.

At the topic, I am surprised Ghana is down the list. I remembered a thread where the Chinese Government sponsored a program to recruit English teachers from African countries and Zambia, Ghana and Kenya made the top three. South Africa and I think Zimbabwe were somewhat close. Old thread. On the other hand, Nigeria was nowhere to be found. Not like I was surprised sef.

Time to listen to how other African nations speak the language. Too much watching Ghanaian programmes have deceived me. grin
Just look at the write up and you will realize, the person was making a list up

I often have this argument with my WhatsApp friends from other African countries mostly Ghana,South Africa and Zimbabwe. They make so much fun of Nigerian English eh, it disgusts me..
English was never our mother's tongue,it was forced down on us by the colonial masters and its such a shame that some African countries (Ghanaians in particular) like bragging about how good they are at speaking English.
I wonder what happened to their mothers tongue.
We gotta be proud of our heritage just the same way the whites men are proud of theirs..
let's save our culture!!
Our mother tongues are the most spoken languages in Ghana.
But make no mistake, we still speak English and we are good at it.Its not bragging as you call it , everyone knows the Ghanaian accent

Some girls suspected to be students have found a juicy business in a newly opened hotel name (withheld) in Sabon Tasha, a suburb in Kaduna city where they dance naked for money to entertain people.

LEADERSHIP investigations revealed that, the girls in their early twenties have been hired by a new big hotel located along Post Office Road,Sabon Tasha to dance without cloth covering their body for 20,000 naira per one night performance.

Our correspondent who visited the newly opened hotel on a facts finding mission observed that, boys less than twenty years of age are not allowed to enter the naked room, while an adult pays N2,000 as entrance fee.
It noticed that, the hotel has become hot spot and side of attraction where married and single men trooped in the night to catch fun and reduce stress after hectic day work.

It further observed that,a bottle of beer in other ordinary sitting rooms attracts normal price, although beers in the naked dancing room are expensive as some brands go for N1,000 per bottle, while others cost N500.

One of the regular customers who gave his name as Step John, said he patronised the hotel to reduce stress and forget about the recession: “This hotel is like a therapy. I don’t miss the hotel especially Friday and Saturday club. Even if I am sick this place we cure me. Those naked dancers,i don’t know where they are from but I heard that some are from Ghana and others are from different parts of Nigeria. From the looks of things some are students of higher institutions”

Aloe James, one of the Security guards of the hotel, said the management paid heavily to nake ladies, “Our management paid them very well. It seems some of the dancers are students. They are not from Kaduna State but they do come every Fridays till Sunday before going back. On Friday,if you come after 9pm you can’t get seat inside the room except outside. People complained about recession but my brother no recession here in the night. People spend money here like sand. If there are enough customers who come and watch the naked dance, they pay each 20,000 and above,” he said.

However, the management of the hotel declined comment after several attempts
