rvp2018: Our roads repair from fuel levy approaching a billion a year - while new road construction annually is more than 2 billion dollars - excluding IPPS
400m dollars disbursed in 1st half - this repairs and maintain a total of 80,000kms https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2021-03-02-roads-board-releases-sh419bn-for-road-maintenance/ Our road toll collection which was meant for road maintenance amount to 1.8 billion dollars every year.. Hence our roads are potholes free.. Even though We've abolished it. Our petroleum levies are still available |

rvp2018: https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/bd/economy/state-values-road-network-at-sh3-5trn-before-audit-3472282 The Kenya Roads Board (KRB), the agency charged with overseeing development and repairing of roads, has revealed the valuation in the tender seeking consultants to conduct a two-year survey on the condition of Kenyan roads.
The valuation of the 246,757.26 kilometres of roads, which include 40,002.34km trunk roads, is more than Kenya’s Sh3.06 trillion budget, highlighting the impact of Jubilee administration’s accelerated investment in roads in the past decade.
KRB data says the country has 161,821km classified roads, 34,000km unclassified or new roads with more than nine-metre road reserve and 50,000 km narrow roads that have less than nine-metre road reserve.
Kenya had 76,100km of roads in 2014, meaning that 85,721km of paved and unpaved roads were added in five years to June 2019. The country has added 10,395km of paved roads from 2010 to close June 2019 with 21,295km. The 16,000km of paved roads in your country, how long will it take you guys to add 4,000km so you can reach 20,000km?I didn't ask you for a history |

rvp2018: It even worse if that data is the best ever done by Ghanian regime there is nothing like a Ghanaian regime. Maybe you're referring to the Kenyan regime as Kenya is mostly noted for those stuff Weep not, one day, Kenya will also have the financial might to do same. |

rvp2018: They upgraded about 450kms (yearly 90kms) - I guess to bitumen/asphalt standard - did overlay of asphalt for 1,000kms - (200kms) -this is re-carpeting - reconstructed 90(20Kms yearly) - and constructed 68kms (15km per year).
This is not my data. This is their own data for last 5yrs presented by their road minister to their parliament.
I am sure if Ghana gov had done better than this - they would proudly present. This what Just40 madness posted here before realizing it would expose them - and quickly deleted - kept reposting geographical breakdown.
The claim was they were building 4,000kms new road per year - that is huge - and I was sceptical - but certainly didnt expect them to be constructing 13kms per year of new road.
They are doing very very badly - considering they have all those minerals. Africa or world leading gold producer. I had to delete it because it didn't show the regional breakdown I was interested in ... Whats your next excuse for why Kenya can't build something that huge? our villages have great roads while your cities and towns are struggling with dusty bumpy roads like a zoo You'll be here crying again in 2 years time after we complete additional 11,000km of roads (possibly only 7,000km will be completed) |

Only East African fools, specifically Kenyans will debate a fact all because their country is performing abysmally in all sectors of development.
What a useless group of people.. instead of directing their anger and frustration towards their leaders like every sane person will do., They misfire. |

Shma: You're wasting your energy.
Of all the 17k km, you only rehabilitate 4200km, smh!
Please, build roads. 68km is an embarrassment to WA. fact's are stubborn 40,000km of paved roads When will Kenya move from 16,000km and get to where Ghana is? A simple question that you and rvp2018 can't answer Your country is a disgrace to Africa .... A huge country with just 16,000km of paved roads.. I wonder why you guys are this angry all because Ghana has more development than your country. It is not only in roads.. Our electricity demand is also almost 3 times yours at almost 4,000MW. Every Region in our country has befitting hospitals and schools. From A to Z, your country will never match us.

rvp2018: re-sphalting! slowpoke. The figures you keep throwing is automatically taken to recycle bin.
An asphalt overlay is a layer of new asphalt applied over the existing base layer of asphalt on a driveway, parking lot or road slowpoke don't be foolish as long as the road bed was graded and redone... It is a new road constructed .. Facts are stubborn Next excuse for why Kenya has only done 800km of roads over the last 4 years 35,000km of paved roads, 30,300km maintained and 4,263.63km new roads added ... This is almost 40,000km ..... When will Kenya get here?

NTSA: In urban planning we call this urban sprawl...which is nothing to be proud of. in urban planning, we call this good suburban development.. Which is a great thing if you have the resources to provide amenities, like in the case of Ghana, US and co. It represents the power of the middle class |

rvp2018: BRING THE DIAGRAM BACK HORBIT. YOU LYING BONOBO That diagram breaks down precisely why your country is ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! You can only manage to build 68kms of new road annually!
Even Burundi or Somalia can beat you.
Where do you take all the money.
All you hear about people who've been to Ghana - is how horrific the roads are! noise maker ... Go find your level. Your country is not mate with Ghana... In all development, we have 3 times what you have. We currently have almost 3 times the paved road network of your country. We consume 3 times the electricity consumed in your country. We consume 2 times the energy consumed in your country. We consume 2 times the water consumed in your country. It is endless. |

rvp2018: Just bring that diagram back - I help break it down. You only constructed 68Kms of new road -- versus Kenya that does now 2,000kms of new road annually if not more. You repaired mere 4,000kms Kenya repairs more than 100,000kms - fuel levy fund alone is more than 1 billion dollars annually in kenya - for road repairs road toll alone generate 1.8 billion dollars annually in Ghana, which goes to road repairs. (We've abolished it) we repaired 30,367km out of 35,000km. And we paved additional 4263.37km... Weep more, it will take your country 10years to pave 4,000 plus kilometers of roads |

rvp2018: I have gone through your entire fund - you have nothing to build even 1,000kms of new roads annually. First eliminate the potholes in your roads. Then start building new ones. You road network is slightly better than Nigeria That completely broken down. and yet we build 4263.37km of roads Keep crying As you can see, we've distributed the development for all our 16 Regions to benefit, hence creating a good standard of living that is some how the same across every part of our country. All the roads in this 4,263 are completed. What's the next excuse for why your country only have 1/3rd the paved road network of Ghana,..

rvp2018: We have heard that story for long. NIgeria remain a old dependant economy. Ghana is gold+oil+bauxite. Outside there is just informal black market economy. Outside that everyone want to emigrate abroad to survive. Outside that families depend on relatives abroad to sent money through western union. Stop making noise and deal with facts.. Oil only contribute 7% to Nigeria Economy.. The entire mining sector of Ghana contribute just 5.5% to our economy.... These are highly diversified economies. Keep making excuses for why Kenyan families and poor and dependent on foreign aid or why Kenyan economy is tourism dependent and you guys will remain in the circle of dependence.
