Foreign Affairs / U.S Sold Nearly $42B In Weapons To Foreign Countries In 2017 by justFEARLESS(m): 2:00pm On Dec 01, 2017
The United State defence companies sold weapons over $41.93billion outside the country in 2017 fiscal year which is a 20 percent increase over the 2016 figures.

According to DefenceNews, "$32.02 billion came through Foreign Military Sales, $6.04 billion was through Foreign Military Financing and $3.87 billion in cases funded through other Defense Department authorities"

The State Department on Wednesday announced that " regionally, sales made through FMS and FMF totaled roughly $22 billion for Central Asia/Near East; $7.96 billion to the Indo-Pacific; $7.3 billion to Europe; $641.6 million to the Western Hemisphere; and $248.6 million to Africa."

This figure which only include sales that were cleared by Congress is even expected to rise in 2018 as there are huge defence agreement between U.S and countries like Saudi for $110 billon military hardware, U.A.E, India and some African countries which will most likely be sanctioned by Congress in 2018.

“This positive sales trend isn’t surprising as the United States is the global provider of choice for Security Cooperation,” Lt. Gen. Charles Hooper, DSCA director, said in a statement. “We deliver not only the most effective defense systems to our partners, but we also ensure a ‘Total Package’ approach that includes the provision of training, maintenance, and sustainment, to support full spectrum capability for our partners.”

In FY14, sales totalled $34.2 billion, in FY15 it totalled $47 billion, in FY16 it totalled $33.6 billion.

Notification for apperoval for weapon sales to Congress by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency also set a new record in FY2017. Those notifications are not final and only apply to potential sales that must be cleared by congress

Romance / 10 Things You Must Experience Before Kicking The Bucket by justFEARLESS(m): 1:21pm On Dec 01, 2017
'Live and let's die' but excuse me, are you really living? There are many things to do and many more to experience in this rich world of our but before you leave it all behind, you just must have this 10 experiences.

* Travel Outside Your Country: You may have seen it all in your own country but wouldn't it be nice for you to see for yourself how things are done in another country, see their people, try their food, see the important places and wonders thereof? It will be nice to get out of your country to experience other places at least once in a lifetime.

* Get Married : I always wonder if getting married will ever get obsolete as time moves on but; if ever it get obsolete, you should partake in the experience of giving your spirit, soul and body to another person.

* Go on a Road Trip: This is different from you travelling for that business summit or to meet that lovely lady you met online who lives hundreds of miles away but you just hitting the road for the fun of it. Though we live in a world where there is almost no time for fun or to be carefree but out of the over 20,000 days an average man spend before the bucket drill, taking a day off from planned and serious life is worth it.

* Give Another Person an Opportunity You Missed: This will be even more profound if the person you give the opportunity to is a stranger. Sending your kids to that top notch school and giving them that perfect life you can only think of when you were like them is a form of giving another person an opportunity you miss too but that is common. Giving a stranger or that guy you hardly know the opportunity to get that promotion or job that has always elude you or sponsoring that kid you hardly know to that good school you never had the chance to go is a very good example of giving another person an opportunity you missed.

* A Trip on the Sea: This is not taking a boat through a strait or to cross a canal but an outright journey on the sea. Aircraft has made it possible to get anywhere in the world without having to experience the turbulence on sea but taking the good old way of getting to places on waters isn't such a bad thing, you just have to experience it.

* Lose: 'You have always been in the winning team' excuse me, you have learn almost nothing. Apart from the fact that we gain more from losing than winning and losing makes us all better, the emotions and your reaction to losing is something you just have to experience. Though we all lose one way or the other in our life and daily endeavours but losing on a grand-stage like running for something and losing or getting into a competition or contest just to lose is something you should experience in a lifetime.

* Learn a New Language: You just have to experience this, 'its heavenly' The joy that comes from venturing into the unknown to get acquainted to it is something words cannot express. Learning a new language is something you just have to try out.

* Get Rich: Some are lucky to be born rich or into an environment that increases their tendency of getting rich while many more are not that lucky but who says you can't get there in your lifetime. being a millionaire is enough as rich for some while being a billonaire is not even close for others but whatever we feel is enough to give us the feel of being rich, try to work your way up there. The feeling, is, heavenly!

* Learn a Sport: Either from the more popular ones like Basketball and Soccer to the less known ones like Badminton, you just have to try to learn a sport once in a lifetime. The fun and satisfaction is brings is something you have to experience.

* Get Arrested: Though this may sound awkward as we all want to be at the right side of the law but have you ever thought of being at the wrong side? start thinking about it.

Foreign Affairs / Huthi Rebels Attack Saudi With Second Ballistic Missile by justFEARLESS(m): 6:21am On Dec 01, 2017
Yemen's Huthi rebels claimed they successfully fired a ballistic missile at a military target in Saudi and it hit the target on Thursday.

This is the second time that the Iran backed rebels are launching such attack in 30 days after threatening to fight back over a breakback blockage spearheaded by Saudi.

The Huthi-run Al-Masira Television channel reported that “We confirm the success of our ballistic missile trial, which hit its military target inside Saudi Arabia,”

Earlier, rebel chief Abdulmalik al-Huthi warned against “prolonging the blockade” imposed on Yemen following a November 4 Huthi missile attack that was intercepted near Riyadh international airport.

“Should the blockade continue, we know what (targets) would cause great pain and how to reach them,” he said in a speech broadcast on Al-Masira television.

Saudi are yet to confirm the Huthi rebel ballistic missile attack on them or respond to it.

The United State Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has urge all countries to cut their links with North Korea after their latest missile test.

According to Sputnik, she was quoted saying "Countries around the world must cut off their commercial, diplomatic, military and any other ties with North Korea after its recent missile launch in violation of a UN Security Council resolution"

Crime / The Top 5 Illegal Business Done By Nigerians by justFEARLESS(m): 2:12pm On Nov 28, 2017
Nigeria has a history of having financial issues causing significant unemployment and poverty. It is estimated that roughly 30 million Nigerians live unemployed and wallowing in poverty. This high level of poverty and unemployment has led many into illegal businesses just to make ends meet.

This are the top 5 illegal businesses Nigerians are into.

* Internet Scam: This is the fastest growing illegal business in Nigeria and 2 out of every 5 Nigerian youth(both male and female) between the age of 18 to 35 are into this shrewd business. This set of people are popularly called 'Yahoo boys' in Nigeria. They impersonate people either inside or outside Nigeria(mostly U.S Soldiers), claiming a false location to swindle unsuspecting people of their money and material possessions. Women are also getting into this scamming business too and their population is growing by the day. More than 20 million Nigerian youths are currently into this illegal business.
* Hacking : What this set of people do is slightly different from what regular hackers do. They are popularly known as "wire wire" in Nigeria. In the circle of Yahoo boys, they are top of the food chain. This set of people though are also in the internet fraudster's circle, but perform different function. They are responsible for illegal bank credits into unsuspecting target accounts especially in U.S only to be transferred to Nigeria. They are also responsible for cloning multinational companies website and social media handle to hijack business transactions among a host of others.

* Oil Vandalism: This illegal business is as old as the commercialization of crude oil in Nigeria itself. Oil Vandals illegally tap into Nigeria's refined oil pipelines or unrefined ones in abandoned oil wells only to sell them to the public or smuggling it out of the country to sell to interested international buyers. Some Nigerian billionaires and top notch political office holders are still involved in this illegal business. In 2015, it was estimated that Nigeria is losing almost 200,000 barrels of crude oil to oil vandals costing Nigeria trillions of Naira yearly. Due to more secured waterways and more guarded oil pipelines, this business is not as rampant as before but it is still one of the top illegal business Nigerians do.

* Drug Peddling: From Marijuana to Cocaine to Crystal-Meth, You will find it in on the street Nigeria cities. Hard drugs is wildly abuse in Nigeria and this is making the pocket of drug barons fatter thereby making the business more enticing to people. Atleast 10 drug smugglers are on a daily bases nipped at Nigerian airports and many more on Nigerian roads. Nigeria is also one of the top ten exporter of hard drugs in the world. This illegal business is also one of the popular business in Nigeria.

* Human Trafficking : This is one of the illegal business that is rampant in Nigeria and vulnerable and impoverished boys and girls and women are the target of this busuness. Nigeria was claimed to be one of the leading African countries in human trafficking with cross-border and internal trafficking. Trafficked Nigerian women and children are recruited from rural areas within the country's borders – women and girls for involuntary domestic servitude and sexual exploitation, and boys for forced labor in street vending, domestic servitude, mining, and begging. Nigerian in Italy, Spain, Saudi who are victims of human traffickers are mostly prostitutes in this countries making more money for their traffickers than themselves. Those in this business make big bucks at the expense of this vulnerable people sold into modern slavery. This is also one of the illegal business in Nigeria that is rampant.

Politics / Four Weapon Of War Nigeria Must Have Before 2020 by justFEARLESS(m): 12:18pm On Nov 25, 2017
At the moment, Nigeria look far away from getting into a war of shooting and bombing with her neighbours or faraway states however, a country should not wait for war to be at their doorstep before arming up.

Considering Nigeria's status, internal conflicts and external threats, this are the weapons and capabilities Nigerian Military must acquire before 2020 to better service its defence needs.

(1) Modern S.A.M System: Nigerian Military at the moment are equipped with some manpad and the Roland Tactical Surface Air-to-Air Missile System which is effective if what you are protecting is a mobile combat formations and high value targets as its operational range is not more than 8km, its flight altitude 5km and its detention range is 16km. A modern fighter jet wouldn't need to get as close as 16 kilometres before sending a missile to wreck havoc.

For a country as big and important as Nigeria, a S.A.M system that is strong enough to protect big airspace and have a detention range that is over 100km is needed. The U.S.A or her close allies may be reluctant to supply Nigeria with an advanced S.A.M system that may fit this specifications and China's S.A.M system has not seen enough action to be trusted but the popular Russian S300 and S400 is a perfect S.A.M system for Nigeria.

The Russian S300/S400 carry different types of missile capable of destroying aerial targets at a short-to-extremely-long range and performed flawlessly in Syria. This S.A.M system or another as potent as it must be acquired by Nigeria before 2020.

(2) Advanced Fighter Jets: While the world is at the edge of 6th generational jets, Nigeria is still flying 2nd and 3rd generational jets. MiG-21 and its Chinese Cousin, F-7, Alpha Jets and the L39za Albastross....

Jokes Etc / Saudi Behead First Robot Citizen by justFEARLESS(m): 3:00am On Nov 19, 2017
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi's first robot citizen head was taken from her body today at the public square in Riyadh.

Saudi made history recently by being the first country to grant citizenship to Robot and Sophia was the first to be granted such legal status.

Unfortunately, Sophia is also the first Robot citizen to be beheaded at the public square in Riyadh after some band of angry Saudi men dragged her into the streets for public execution.

The crowd first began by stoning her, but finding her carbon fiber exoskeleton was durable enough to withstand the stones and it did little damage to her, they then tied a chain around her neck and the other end to a trailer hitch, driving her through the streets until her head became separated from her body and afterwards attempted to rape her headless body.

A survey shows 79% of Saudi Arabian men approve of the execution, along with 100% of American men named Elon Musk . Women were forbidden from participating in the survey.

According to Duffelblog While many men applauded the beheading, her designer lamented the outcome.
“It’s unfortunate that female robots are treated as second-class citizens in Saudi Arabia,” said David Hanson, owner of Hanson Robotics. “I long for the day when female robots can walk freely in Saudi Arabia, expressing their individuality, without fear of retaliation.”

Hanson speculated that Saudi Arabia’s culture isn’t quite ready to embrace such citizens, and vowed to make future robots more compatible with Sharia Law.
“My next robot will be a Roomba wearing a burqa,” said Hanson. “That should be roughly equivalent in functionality to what is currently permissible for women in Saudi Arabia.

Crime / MTN Scammed Me by justFEARLESS(m): 8:17am On Nov 18, 2017
I have called their customer care representative twice today to report but they keep terminating my calls (i wonder where they get those annoying people).

I have been so broke for the past few days n this has led me to MTN borrow Xtratime/Xtrabyte for data to keep working (I am a blogger). Well on the 16th of this month, I borrowed 500mb which was suppose to last for 1 week and everything seems fine until this morning when I tried to browse and I couldn't. I never expected that it was the data because I checked it before switching off my phone last night and I still had 312mb but this morning, it was nowhere to be found. I checked my data usage between 16th and 18th, it was not even up to 200mb and It should be a week next week Thursday so MTN, where is my data (0703797551*)

One of the Customer Care rep I called was telling me that I may have been careless (Egbami), I was like ' Sorry O, if switching off my data and phone is carelessness, abeg what is now being careful o'

Foreign Affairs / Russia Developing Noiseless And AI Equipped Torpedo. by justFEARLESS(m): 2:23pm On Nov 10, 2017
Russia is developing new torpedo with artificial intelligence.

Russia defense industry is developing new mini-torpedo that weight around 40 kilograms. The new mini-torpedo will be silent running and wakeless according to Shamil Aliyev, a Russian expert in the field in his interview with Sputnik.

The new torpedo will be equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) so that it can be capable of imitating the behaviour of Fish and Sea animal.

The turtle-type torpedo which is currently at the research and development (R & D) stage will travel at a very low speed (not exceeding 4 miles per hour) but generate no noise and wake.

The torpedo will be able to stall and lay-idle while waiting for its target and also will be able to change course of attack after being fired.

Mini-torpedo are new trend in under-water attack mechanism and are being developed by many countries at the moment.

This new torpedo will give Russia the ability to carry thousands of torpedoes in its military vessels and submarine and give them the ability to mass-attack target.

Politics / 5 Capabilites That Will Decide The Outcome Of Future Wars by justFEARLESS(m): 11:53pm On Nov 07, 2017
An attempt to predict the capability or weapons that will decide future wars is almost impossible in this fast changing world considering the fact that an ability that has its place at the pinnacle of technological innovation may be considered obsolete is no distant time due to another ability that successful counters it or environmental issues.
Also the nature of war is not constant but fluid and an ability that may be a game changer in a conventional war between two country may be useless or cost effective in a smaller conflict or assymmetrical scenario pitting force in an urban theater. (e.g Nigeria Army confronting Niger Delta militant or Boko Haram insurgents).
However, this capabilities and abilities will be very pivotal in future battle and will change the very nature of future warfare.

(1) STEALTH CAPABILITIES: Using naturally occurring metamaterials, scientists have been designing lightwave-bending materials that can greatly reduce the thermal and visible signatures of a target. This ability will be game changer in future conflict. They represent the pinnacle of technological weapons sophistication and are the bleeding edge of innovation.
The ability to record low radar signature has been used by many countries on high sea assets like warships and submarines but this capability is still an exclusive capability in air assets as only U.S and China have operational military hardwares with stealth capabilities. The U.S F22 and F35 Fighter Jet and B-2 Spirit and F-117 Nighthawk Bombers and the Chinese newly commissioned J-20 are the only operational air asset with stealth capabilities although their are many more aircraft with stealth capabilities still in experimental stage in different countries. Stealth suit for land soldiers are also being experimented by some military.
Chinese Shenyang J-31, Japanese Mitsubishi X-2, Russian PAK-FA-T-50 and Swedish Stealth Saab Gripen are the known aircraft currently at the operational stage. Also Stealth capabilites is being experimented on Main Battle Tanks and Poland is currently pushing the innovation on its concept tank PL-01. How well a country can evade enemy radars and eyes will be game changers in future conflicts.

(2) Cyber Space Capabilites: Apart from the three conventional domain being used in warfare which are, Land, Sea and Air, future wars will be fought on two additional domains. Outer Space and Cyberspace will also be battlefields in future wars.
Cyber war will see hackers wage war against each other for the control of cyberspace but this won't be them stealing facebook user info or hacking email but they will be working to takedown modern military nervous system and stuxnet-style digital weapons.
Cyberspace battle will be targeting computers and networks in warfare, communication and internet connection systems, military installations, and other important assets and installation in offensive and defensive operations.
New breed of military equipment and bots using artificial intelligence will also attack and defend in cyber war by automating work like probing and targeting enemy network or crafting fake information.

(3) Speed: Speed increases the element of surprise and enhance the potency of attack and ability to evade countermeasures...

However, this capabilities and abilities will be very pivotal in future battle and will change the very nature of future wars.
(3) Speed: Speed increases the element of surprise and enhance the potency of attack and ability to evade countermeasures....

New breed of military equipment and bots using artificial intelligence will also attack and defend in cyber war by automating work like probing and targeting enemy network or crafting fake information.

(3) Speed: Speed increases the element of surprise and enhance the potency of attack and ability to evade countermeasures. Speed became a sacred ability during the Second World War when high sea and air supremacy battles became more pronounced and air supremacy is almost the requirement for success in a war.
Over time, technology advancement has given human the ability to go more than 25 times faster than the speed of sound and the next barrier is the speed of light but this may take hundreds to thousands of years to break as the speed of light is over 23,000 times faster than the speed of sound.
How fast fighter jets, Warships, Submarines, APCs and Tanks, missiles and projectiles will to a great extent decide future wars.

(4) Artificial Intelligence: This field was founded on the claim that human intelligence "Can be so precisely described that a machine could be made to simulate it and allow computers and machine to function in an intelligent manner."
According to reports, artificial intelligence could soon surpass nuclear weapons as the world's greatest military weapon. AI tech and Robot Soldiers could give a much smaller countries unable to amass big armies or develop nuclear weapons a way to rival even superpowers military.
AI and Robotics has already start changing the face of wars as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Unnamed Land Vehicles are already actively g participating in front line battles and most of the Battle Tanks, Fighter Jets and Weapon systems fielded by many Militaries in the World are already making autonomous decision to defend or attack and in no distance time, this military hardware could be totally automated.
This however is perceived by many AI expert as a grave danger to the very existence of human race.
According to Stephen Hawking, 'the development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. once humans develop artificial intelligence, it will take off on its own and redesign itself at an ever increasing rate. Human could not compete and would be superseded.
However the ability to field frontline robot soldiers in will change the posture of the yardstick of military might in future wars.

(5) Capabilities in Space : In no distance future the space will be a theatre for warfare. Battle in space will include ability to attack ground targets from space and ability to attack enemy space assets from space. This capability was seized to reality from the science fiction realm by Russia with the launch of Sputnik in 1957. Ever since the launch of Sputnik, Russia, U.S and much later, China has been trying to militarise the Space by developing and placing weapons and military technology in outer Space.

Currently, countries like Russia, U.S.A, China and some other countries have weapons that can attack space systems in orbit, attack on earth from space or disable missile travelling through space. A large percentage of countries also have satellite for espionage, surveillance and military communication.
Ability from and in space will decide to a great extent decide the outcome of future wars.
