Crime / The Most Popular Rifles In Nigeria by justFEARLESS(m): 8:12am On Apr 08, 2017
AK-47
The AK47 is undoubtedly the most popular gun in the world. One out of every five gun in the world is a Kalashnikov. The figure is even higher in Nigeria as 3 out of every 5 guns in is a Kalashnikov. The AK-47 and its variants (including OBJ006 which was locally manufactured in Nigeria) is widely used by the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Police and various Paramilitary agencies.
It is an assault rifle developed in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov and has remained in active service even after seven decades since its introduction. It is a selective-fire gas operated 7.62 x 39mm assault rifle with a muzzle velocity of 715m/s (2,350FHS). it can spit out 600 rounds/min at combat rate of fire and 400 rounds/min at Semi-automatic. It has an effective firing range of 350m(380 yards).
Come rain come sun this "stamina freak" keeps spitting lead, very cheap and also very easy to maintain (This rifle should have been phrase out by the Nigerian Army to higher variants or something better outside the Kalashnikov family).
Heckler and Koch G3
This battle rifle has west Germany as its origin and was introduced in 1958. The G3 is a 7.62 x 51mm NATO battle rifle developed in collaboration with the Spanish state owned design and development agency C.E.T.M.E. instead of the AK-47 some Nigeria Soldiers carry the G3. Also some paramilitary agencies like the Custom and the Civil Defence (NSCDC) has the G3 as their primary rifle.
It can fire 500-600 rounds/mins and it has a velocity muzzle of 800m/s (2,685ft/s). It has an effective range of 500 metres (550 yard).
I have heard and seen people that survived multiple shot from an AK47 even at close range but what I have never seen or heard of is someone that survived a point blank shot from the 'wicked boy' Heckler and Koch G3.
Pump Action Rifle
This is widely used by security agencies and civilians alike. Pump action rifle are widely used in Nigeria by hunters, vigilantes, home securities... There are many models of pump action in Nigeria but the most popular of them all are; Winchester Model 1912 12 gauge, Mossberg 500, Itacha 37, Norinco YL 12.... Pump action rifles are also produced locally in Nigeria by Specialized Blacksmith.
TAR-21
This is a bullpop assault rifle developed by Is real Weapon Industries (IWI). It is the primary rifle of the State Security Services and some specialized department of the Nigerian army, the Navy and Air force.
The TAR-21 (Tavor) can use either 5.56 x 45mm NATO, 9 x 19mm parabelum, 5.56 x 30mm Minas or 5.45. X 39mm.
It can spit 750-950RPM with a muzzle velocity of 910m/s and it has an effective firing range of 550m. It has three main variants which are TAR-21, the CTAR-21 and the MTAR-21.
( Don't be deceived that this stubborn boy is wield by authorized agencies only...I had an encounter with some Tavor carrying Fulani Herdsmen in 2009 during the Jos Crisis)

Sometimes I read what people comment here I just feel like puking. Why so judgemental people?

Op thank you so much for this, you did the right thing.

most of you people that come here and talk trash(like almost all of you) can you do what d governor did if you are a governor?

You see, change starts from the top and when we see leaders doing something the way its should be done, it always have domino effect. Normal people will start doing them without shame and it goes on and on.
but let's say he did this(the governor) and nobody posted it and talked about it, how will we know that some of our leaders are setting new examples or doing things they wouldn't do some years back?

Even if he is carrying money in the bags(which I doubt) at least, he is starting to change....encouraging him will accelerate his change process ( for the better)...
and this will affect other governors( a governor doing things normal and getting applause for it will make them want to try acting normal too.....

Nigerians, you still don't get the concept of appreciation.

Foreign Affairs / TRUMP OR CLINTON: Who Is Better For Africa? by justFEARLESS(m): 3:04pm On Oct 19, 2016
The United State of America is undoubtedly the most powerful country in the world and most times events in the US tend to have impact in regions outside her territory; some will even say even outside earth's horizon. Therefore, global audience are keenly monitoring the race to the seat of the United State President that is viciously going on between the Democrats party Candidate, Hillary Clinton who was formally a Senator and the Secretary of State of the United State, and the GOP candidate, the billionaire real estate tycoon Donald Trump.

Campaigns and Debates and even kinky side allegations has not been missing in the buildup to the election as people from inside and out watch on as everything unfold as whoever emerge will take over from Barrack Obama and decide the fate of the United State and to a lesser extent, the world, for the next Four Years. From the Campaigns and Debates between this two contenders for the white house, it appears that none has the African agenda in mind; maybe Africa is not that important to them or maybe Africa is too small to be an issue to discuss...? Considering the fact that this two candidates are highly controversial and unpredictable figures, should we expect policies that will be anti-Africa from any of them that beats the other to the price?

Africa has seen the dark side of history. She was a victim of Slave trade and colonization; 'let's leave neocolonialism out of this'. This reduced the status of the black race to second class earthlings who were treated a little higher than common dogs and seen as a nuisance to the society good only for hard labor and psychopathic training. But ever since the independence of African states, African situation has taken an upward turn and this was symbolized by the emergence of Barack Obama, a man with African root, as the President of the United States in 2008. This could be coming to an end very soon as trump and Clinton has shown us through their words and actions that they are the limit of their racial tolerance.

Donald Trump the republican candidate publicly showed his disgust for Africans with his outburst in the rally of Wichita, Kansas, where he publicly declared that, "We need to get the Africans out. Not the blacks, the Africans. Especially the Nigerians. They're everywhere...." He maintained that African leaders are bad examples for leadership and recommended that the continent be recolonized again. " Look at African Countries like Nigeria or Kenya for instance, those people are stealing from their own government and go to invest the money in foreign Countries. From the government to opposition, they only qualify to be used as a case study whenever bad examples are required...... these are people who import everything including Matchsticks. In my opinion, most of these African Countries ought to be recolonized again for another one hundred years, because they know nothing about leadership and self governance" Trump stated. He referred to blacks as lazy fools, only good at eating, lovemaking and thuggery which further showed the world the side of him Blacks and Africans may see if he is elected.

Trump also hinted plans at jailing some sit-tight African leaders who have been ruling their countries for a long time (Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe and Yoweri Musevani of Uganda have topped the list). Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe,91, has been ruling Zimbabwe since 1980, while Museveni, 71, has been ruling Uganda since 1986. Though there are lines that reflected the naked truth in his words but African freedom and right may be seriously threatened by this man.

Clinton also, more than often, have been caught making hate speech directed at Blacks. As first lady, she called Black Men "Super Predators". Indicating that she thought all young black males were violent criminals. She also said, " We have to bring them to heel, " like young blacks are the same as Dogs" . Clinton, really, Dogs?

Trump claimed he would "halt immigration for Muslims and for people coming from areas of high instances of terror" and build a wall between the United States and Mexico and make the Mexican government pay for it. Oops! Hillary Clinton beat Trump to this. In 2005, Hillary said "I am adamantly against illegal immigrants''. She also as a Senator, voted to construct a wall between the US and Mexico. Considering the fact that Muslims are more than half of African population, this could just make all Africans to be pitched in the same cup (Both Muslims and Christian) and banned altogether from the United State. If you are doubting, look up again and see what both of them feels Mexico, their southern neighbor deserve and reconsider your stance.

Clinton even went beyond racist banter during 2008 democrats primaries when her campaign started the " Birther" rumors, questioning Obama's Citizenship. They even circulated the now famous picture of Obama in full Muslim garb. She seriously questioned Obama right to contest for the highest post in America, labeling him a "Common Kenya Man". Her husband Bill Clinton even when further by labeling Obama "A Coffee Boy" only worthy of fetching Coffee for them and up to today never apologize for making this statement.

Hillary Clinton personally moved the campaign that caused the killing of General Muammar Gaddafi. A decision Obama say is the ''Worst Mistake in his presidency'' but to Hillary, it's one of the deeds she labelled as ''Achievement''. In case you forgot, Gaddafi was overseeing the most richest economy in Africa before his Hillary backed assassination but look at what remains of Libya now. The Chaos in Libya had implications on her close neighbors and across region in West Africa as weapons used for the revolution found their ways across borders and was used by terrorist groups like North African AQIM, Malian Tuareg rebel and even by Nigeria terrorist group Boko Haram and the Humanitarian crisis that the Libyan revolution caused cannot be overemphasized.

Outside the shores of Africa, she was instrumental in the campaign that led to the ousting of Saddam Hussein and a keen supporter of the campaign to oust al Assad in Syria. Let me break it down for you, '' Iraqi campaign gave birth to Al Qaeda and the Syrian crisis gave birth to Islamic State'' the two most dangerous terrorist groups in the world. A review of the humanitarian crisis this caused; 'I wouldn't even dare it' , Millions of words can't express it. since it seems she has a knack for upsurging the leaders of countries, don't be surprised if your country kick start it if she emerge as the President.

However, it wouldn't be fair to end this without mentioning the Clinton Foundation in Africa. It has worked over the years to 'Support Educational Initiative and fight AIDS' in Africa, but is this enough to say that Hillary Clinton has a warm heart for Africa and will pursue policies that will favor Africa?

The African continent benefited from America during the Obama regime in ways which include;

* Strengthening Health systems through global Health Initiative.

* Supporting Democracy, Human Rights, and good governance to help government fight

Corruption, and expand Space for Civil society.

* Help Africa increase resilience to Climate Shocks by initiating programs that enlighten them

about Climate change and its hazard.

* Leading quick responses to humanitarian Crises to save lives and help prevent instability and loss.

* Education, Infrastructural development and economic development programs.

* Military support and counter-insurgent assistance and training to Military of African

Countries battling insurgency problems.

* Donation of Military Hardware to African countries in need of them for maintaining the

internal and external security of their country.

Whoever is elected will succeed President Barack Obama whose second time ends this years. Obama visited Subsaharan Africa four times, more than any other US president and initiated policies that is fairly good to the African Continent. Should we expect something less from whoever emerge in next month's election or maybe one of them may be the messiah of Africa?

Crime / A Saudi Teenager Arrested For Flirting With Lady Online by justFEARLESS(m): 2:43pm On Oct 18, 2016
A Saudi Arabian teenager was arrested by the Saudi authority for flirting with an American internet personality, Christina Crockett. She met the lady on a video chat site known as ''YouNow''.

According to Riyadh police spokesperson, Colonel Fawaz Al-Mayman, the teenager, known online as Abu Sin a mame translated as ''The Toothless'', was arrested on Sunday for engaging in “unethical behaviour”.

Al-Mayman said, “The live broadcasting website ‘YouNow’ was launched in 2011 and was popularized among Gulf Arab youth. Abu Sin is 19 years old and he was arrested for unethical behavior. His videos received many comments and many of the general public demanded for him to be punished for his actions.

A lawyer, Abdulrahman Al-Lahem said the videos of Abu Sin breached Shariah Law and information technology law. “The teenager could face prison term — ranging from a year to three — if convicted for breaking Sharia Law. The ethics and morals of Shariah Law apply even on the Internet,” Al-Lahem said according to Saudi gazette.

This is however not the first time that a Saudi Internet user has been arrested for videos that the authorities deem immoral. In 2013, a young man was arrested by the religious police after he posted photos of himself offering “free hugs” on the streets of Riyadh.
