I can never advise anyone I know to marry a single mum. Except in unfortunate circumstances of widowhood or the likes.
Why start your life with complications when there are enough single women around! |

Whome: I have to respond because I get so offended by these kinds of threads.
My story is this I had on child out of wedlock but was in the relationship for a long while with the man. He said he loved me and wanted us to be together for life but he started seeing other people on the side. I didn't want to put up with the behavior so I broke it off only to find out I was pregnant afterwards.
I stayed a single mom till my daughter was two years old. I met someone we dated for almost a year and we finally married. I had a son but after my son was born my husband became abusive. I did not want my children in this environment and I divorced. Again I stayed single until my son was three years old and I met someone who lived overseas through a good friend of mine and we dated for 2 years. We finally got married and had a son. My current husband turned out to be a total liar and schemer and now I am headed for divorce again.
My first husband was good at first but later started hanging with the wrong kinds of people and smoking weed and being abusive. My second husband was a liar and a con. I have not slept around. I have never had one abortion in my life and I was a good wife and mother who always tried to be supportive of my husband and am supportive of my children. I have my own business although some days its good and other days not so but I am trying and I support my children well. Everything I have goes first to them and I get for myself when I can. I am not bragging but asking everyone here that had something negative to say about single mothrs, WHAT OF MY OWN?
If I never meet anyone I am prepared for raising my children alone but why should I be condemned for being a good woman who unfortunately met not so good men. I didn't rush into marriage with them and I was not pregnant when we got married so it was not a marriage of force. But why should I still be looked down upon just because I have children. Wont their fathers go on and marry again and have relationships? If i being single the rest of my life should be my fate then shouldn't whats good for the goose be good for the gander? Every man who's been in your life is being painted as evil here. Have you ever tried to look inwards at all? |

so, if teachers in Liverpool decide that homework is not good for British children, should Nigerian children follow such things blindly? Are Nigerian children the same as British children?
Homework is VERY GOOD for children. |

GEW: i like your ability to double speak. we are all coming to marry our quota of town hall whores. you are on one hand supporting the right to be virgin and at same time flying flag for people who throw caution to the wind afterall they are going to marry and stop being whores. hope you get acccess to listen top this girl who never had the priviledge to marry let alone stop the lifestyle she enjoyed and tot could get away with. http://www.radiodiaries.org/aidsdiary/story.html Thembi was 19 years old when we gave her a tape recorder to make an audio diary of her struggle to live with AIDS.
if i stretch your grace theology i should start stealing knowing God forgives and will stop when i get enough you know you are going to preach to me so let me continue stealing so you just have a convert. isnt that a nice idea? nigerians and indulgience. That is what made many so-called westerners' lives miserable. They think that they can undo all the evil that has become part of them as soon as they fall in love. they want to whores as long as they're yet unmarried. They then get married and cant really enjoy marriage because their lifestyles has destroyed what they should actually enjoy. Na so dem go come dey jump from man to man and every man is evil, unloving etc by their standards |

ElRazur: I am guessing that is based on your personal experience right? Well, in my personal experience, the opposite is the case. I have no reason to make such a claim of being treated in an unjust way as an individual who happens to be black. Speaking of Charity, I am sure you would be aware that this country gives a lot to charity. . . but that is another debate.
There are many reasons, and avoiding prosecution is one of them. I believe in the adage of "Innocent until proven guilty" however jumping bail on this occasion shows there is more than meet the eyes. I am forced to take sides, because of some of the things being said around here and some of the way some information have surfaced.
AS for the issue of GMC, Practise and registration. I have told you before, there are extensive checks done here as standard, however no system is totally fail safe and as such, people like Farombi would slip through the net. From what I can see [refer back to GMC link I posted] he appeared to be suspended pending further investigation. However, because there is a police/criminal investigation going on, the GMC would have to wait. That is my understanding of how things like this take turn.
.
I guess we have a different view. Do you take the dodgy link/website posted by Idonge? A site that appeared to have been put up for the purpose of this thread. On top of that, the journal that these excerpts was apparently taken is no where to be found. I have asked Idonge questions about this, but he picked to ignore them and talk about "go ask some university in nigeria". Given all of the above, you are still trusting that side of the story presented by Idonge? I don't know about you, but I would stick to the original story reported by crime watch.
Not exactly relevant to this case. We have court of law to straighten out issues like this. The same courts Mr Farombi have ran away from. See above. All of us have stories like that to tell. Believe me. To say that you dont know that it is not every case of injustice that gets heard about in this country is really baffling. Please ask around you; this is not just about race. As I stated, I wait to see the end of this story before deciding what to believe. . . based on experience of my past clients that I have witnessed. That case is relevant in the sense that you probably dont know that anyone can suffer injustice. That is a clear case of injustice. . .your suggestion that he should go to court points again to something. I already stated that the guy told me he cant afford the legal fees to seek a judicial review. His 5-year visa is about to be revoked and he has absolutely no right of appeal except he goes for a judicial review which costs a fortune. Anyway, I understand your reasoning as I have met someone like you before and it was only when confronted with a situation that he changed his mindset. |

gloriuss: WRONG! Re-read the Q and come back with a more sensible, reasonable answer. When did women become machines that are to deal with an unreasonable libido. Keep going like that and u'l c how hard it is for u to find a WIFE,,,,,at this point in time im referring to a responsible lady with attributes of a responsible wife. Not just "a woman" that u prefer. OK? The guy knows what he's doing. . . he's appealing to women in the house who are always looking for sex. He's not particularly interested in replying to the post. |

ElRazur: @Just Good. This country do not just go after people like that. This farombi guy clearly have some question to answer. Why did he skip bail and all other unanswered questions?
@Just Good NO one have said the cps is perfect. Nothing is. However, I would take their side on this one. Please explain to me as to why the guy jumped bail? Surely I am looking at the "other side" like you now and am assuming he is innocent. . . Erm but why jump bail? Makes no sense to me. This country does treat people unjustly until they are able to find strong or vocal support for their issues. I used to head a charity and I know what I am talking about. I am not in a position to say why anyone would jump bail. He could be guilty as accused but then, who am I to determine such when he has not even been tried. There are hundreds of possibilities. I chose to take no one's side till everything comes out clearly into the open. So far, there are some holes that can be picked in their stories. How can they say the guy was practising without qualification? Can a doctor be allowed to practice in the UK without qualification? Even when charged with misconduct, he was not struck off by the GMC but suspended. If he was not qualified to be a doctor, the GMC would have struck him off instantly. The sensational reports dont seem to add up. I have a case that was just brought to my attention yesterday of the injustice meted to a Nigerian who has a 5-yr visa to the UK. I have examined all his papers and there was nothing to justify what the guy seems to have gone through. I dont want to give too much details so I dont reveal what I should not but a guy was locked up for 31 days in different prisons for immigration offences because an immigration officer believed he might be wanting to enter Ireland to seek asylum. The guy has a 5 year visa to the UK and a 2 year visa to America. He was stopped at the airport when he was entering Belfast; not even inside Belfast. This guy even has an Irish visa granted last year on his passport. I have looked through his documents and I have copies of them in my office now. I advised him to sue but he cant afford it. How did the immigration officer come to the conclusion that a guy who was issued a 5-yr British visa last year would want to enter the Republic of Ireland to claim asylum? I can tell you some of the things that never get to the public and you will pray it never happens to anyone you know. |

By the way, the CPS gets things wrong several times as as been shown over the years. The fact that the CPS is looking to prosecute is not justification to assume guilt. |
Politics › Re: Please Help Catch This Guy. by JustGood(m): 5:14pm On Jul 10, 2009 |
ElRazur: Not at all. This issue would have long gone away if people do not try to justify and defend his actions, but instead people have made it like it is because he is black, or the CPS etc got it all wrong. Let us call a spade, a spade. . . Please. You have a funny way with your choice of words. I would have thought there is a clear difference betweeen people wanting to look at another side of a coin and people who actually JUSTIFY and DEFEND actions. |

shawn123: Nigerians! we are a funny bunch of people. We say our leaders/government is our problem. Now even as Nigerians have gone to a country with good leadership, our people are running them out of Prison space. If the British is considering building a prison in Nigeria, dont you guys think its because our people are committing soo much crime over there. Are we cursed people? or what? Some people are ignorantly saying they should be building schools, industries in Nigeria instead of building jails. I laugh out loud at that one, Why are they compelled to build schools for us, Do they owe us money or what? Bunch of lazy people, imagine someone saying they should be building schools and industries in Nigeria (shoo na dem be our papa and mama?) At this point we should be worrying about the fact that we might just have criminal minds by default even if put in land of milk and honey! Gbam! |
