Let’s see some of the best looks! Best dressed Female Oh the ladies were cladded to perfection! there’s just no way we won’t have a tie for the best look, in fact, multiple ties because just when you thought you’ve seen the actress who absolutely nailed it, another one steps down from the limo and unto the red carpet making you take your decision all over again! Best dressed- Lupita Nyongo |
The fashion at this year’s Oscars was simply lit and clean, I have to use the word ‘clean’ because everyone looked extremely neat and so well put together, I’ve not stopped giving a round of applause for the attendees for putting on a good show and treating us to a palatable fashion feast to feed our eyes on and satisfy our fashion appetite. And yes, there will always be the “WTF” and “Are you kidding me?” looks from some attendees who frankly I can’t tell what they were thinking when they were putting together their outfit for the big event. Thankfully, it was just a few of these people at this year’s event, so few that our eyes won’t bleed…*exhales*. Thank goodness. |

WORST DRESS FEMALE Let’s get straight to it shall we? |
.Standing ovation!! Nicole Kidman wowed in this stunning dress by Armani Prive. She looks like a gorgeous package, well delivered. Red lips, hair sleeked back, this look is sophistication overdose!
|
The “Jane the virgin” star looks absolutely breath taking in this glistening Zuhair Murad dress. With minimal makeup and jewelry, she let her natural beauty shine through… Best dressed- Nicole Kidman |

Lupita lupita! My dear you are gorgeous and can we just say that we ain’t seen a gold dress this fabulous. Gold dresses are a go-to in grand occasions like these especially on actresses nominated for the very important and prestigious categories (who doesn’t want to look like gold while they hold their golden trophy?) but this gold number comes with some tricks up its sleeves (practically) and we absolutely love it! Best dressed- Gina Rodriguez |

The ‘Black Panther’ is here! Luckily for this movie, the climax of its buzz came in around the ‘The black history’ month, I can’t say for sure if this was planned but I can tell you it was the ultimate catalyst (I’ve not even started this review and I’m already saying chemistry terms, well, get ready to hear me say the word, “Vibranium” 99 times as though it were an actual element in the periodic table!) The movie starts… As with most super hero action flick, we hear a narrative while the visuals play it out and BP wasn’t going to be an expectation but it so happens that the narrative-intro wasn’t so mind blowing as hoped for. Take for example, the ancient Egypt themed movie, “Gods of Egypt” where the narrative-intro already got our eardrums and eyeballs glued to the speaker and screen. I felt that narrative for BP was a bit weak…more like a narrative for the kids sitting under the tree in “Tales by moonlight”. (Well at least thank you for letting us know what ‘vibranium’ is…) The contrast between the archaic African setting and the futuristic technology was just too great to believe but until the scene were the BP spaceship flies right through the force field surrounding Wakanda and revealing the high-tech glory of the mega city, I was gradually beginning to buy into the Afro-futuristic theme. The scene of the coronation where the prince’s installment as king was interrupted, I felt was a little bit too... If you own a business or plan to own one soon, there comes a time you have to think of branding your business and one of the first steps would be to pick a unique business name and then after, design your desired business name and additionally create a logo (if necessary). Designing a business name/ logo isn't just putting pieces of graphics together until your business name is spelt out. There are several considerations to put into thoughts- colour, theme and elements surrounding your business are of good inclusion but today, we shall look into font styles. Font styles are basically how you choose the words you type to come out like, do you want the words coily and fancy, thick or edgy? I guess by now you have a good idea of what font styles are (if in case you are not at all into graphics or have never typed words in Microsoft word before now). The font style on it's own carries a theme so the font style you choose can either send out the wrong or the right message (the latter we hope for). Let's take a look now at some practical examples. Katherine wants to design a business name for her cake business, she plans to call it "Sweet Cakes". Let's look at how font styles can play a role in designing her business name. ...A New Year’s resolution is a tradition, most common in the Western Hemisphere but also found in the Eastern Hemisphere, in which a person resolves to change an undesired trait or behavior, to accomplish a personal goal or otherwise improve their life. – Wikipedia I bet those “New year, new me” posts are already flooding your timeline. This time of the year, almost everyone wants to make that decision to start something new or be a better version of themselves (we all do) but taking all the right steps is all that matters. Keep it Realistic: Don’t come up with ridiculous resolutions like wanting to inherit the whole earth or take over the world all in the space of 12 months. That won’t happen aside a miracle. Yes, it’s okay to dream and your resolution has to be something that triggers you on a daily, then again, don’t make “outer space” kind of resolution. Keep it real. Connect it with your aspirations: Linking your new year’s resolution to your life’s aspirations is one sure way of finding strength and inspiration. Your aspiration is likened as your ultimate life goal. Think of those things you desire most in life and use it to drive your new year’s resolution. For example, if your goal is to eat healthy and get in shape, you can connect that with that aspiration to live a long, healthy life such that when you are not motivated to work out or do the healthy diets, you remember how you want to still have a fit body in the next 50 years! That should get you up. Read full editorial here; http://justiceokwudike.com/2018/01/02/new-years-resolution-how-to-achieve-them/

One time I posted a photo for a breakfast inspiration, a commenter begged to differ, claiming the foods were unhealthy and contained carbs. This and so many other myths have surrounded carbs and its intake, people especially weight watchers and shedders are terrified of even breathing the air surrounding carbs. "Don't eat carbs if you don't want to get fat". Well, same goes to eating too much of any food type at all. Carbs don't make you fat, eating an overly high amount of it does! For starters, let's reflect on the famous food pyramid, recall that it is dominated by carbs at the bottom, best believe that there is for a reason for this. This has to be the most surprising (and funny at the same time) news we’ve seen this month. So a dozen monkeys have been found lying dead in a jungle somewhere in India after being discovered by locals during a bush clearing session. Wondering what must have caused the mysterious deaths, it was gathered from postmortem results that the monkeys actually died from heart attacks. Further findings showed that the monkeys had encountered a tiger who chased them to their deaths… They must have been utterly terrified! Poor monkeys… http://thenigerianyouthmag.com/2017/09/12/12-monkeys-die-after-tiger-chased-them-to-cardiac-arrest/

Information reaching us has it that a newly born baby somewhere in the Northern part of Nigeria delivered with both hands sticking together, made a rather unusual and strange act. On going into the theatre, probably to separate the conjoined body parts, the infant uttered words, saying, “Jesus is coming” on reportedly two occasions. Many have gathered to the scene to catch a glimpse of the incident where the mother(woman in red attire) of the baby is spotted carrying her child. While we can’t say for certain how true this story is, the amazed crowd (judging from the picture) suggests that the story might in fact be true. What do you think? http://thenigerianyouthmag.com/2017/09/06/shocking-newly-born-baby-speaks-see-what-it-said/
