The state of being unemployed can be very daunting, especially if you know you are qualified and fit to begin a career but the job opportunities just isn’t coming. Today, I share with us some Tips to note in coping with this situation. Get out of the dark: Being unemployed can be embarrassing for most people. You often try to avoid gatherings because you know that someone along the conversation will ask you about your state of employment and make you look like an un-achiever in front of everyone while on the other side, your former schoolmates must have updated their Facebook status with their current workplace and littered your feed with selfies of them chilling in well-furnished offices with good lighting. Well, i’ve got news for you; being anti social won’t improve your state, not at all, it only limits your chances of getting out of it. This is the time to get out there and chip in your problem at any given chance to any (known-to-be-) helpful person who cares to listen. If you don’t mind, tell your church’ secretary to pass an announcement to the congregation that you are unemployed and need help (no, am just kidding…I’m serious!) You know what they say; a problem shared is a problem half-solved. You don’t know where the help can come from. Fill up the unfulfilled time: Being unemployed can mean you are out of work, idle and broke all at the same time. Frankly, it is a miserable state to be in and there’s not so much you can do to change it instantly so are you just going to sit there and langush in this predicament while you watch the days turn to weeks and the weeks turn to months? No! You know, you actually lose money, experience and more each day you sit at home as an unemployed graduate. So get up now, get something doing, develop yourself somehow, read books- keep yourself updated in your field of study or learn new values. Follow your passion, turn your flair into a lucrative venture. Don’t just stand there, do something! Look a million bucks already: Well, not exactly a million bucks (for now) because, well again, you don’t have that much money but what am saying is that your outward appearance should always look clean, polished and inviting. This may just be the factor that will win you that connection and land you a job. Endeavour to always look presentable (each time you step out) a bit like the employed and successful graduate you want to become. Refresh: The motivation you get today may wane down tomorrow. You need to constantly look for inspiration. Move with people with motivated minds, they will inspire you. Move with people who are ahead in the game, they will lead you. Move with people who are connected to the “connection”, they are likely to fix you up sooner or later. Thank you for reading today. Lara Oshiomole, indeed is a kindhearted and generous lady. We wish her a successful continual reign as she keeps up with her good works. Kudos to the first lady of Edo state. Source: The Humanitarian section of www.justiceokwudike.com |
We also learnt about her visit to the Old People’s home of St. Paul Catholic Church in Benin. Also, was her visit to the widows.
|
We also spotted her paying a visit to the Grace Oyemwense Orphanage, Edo orphanage home where she could be seen engaging the less privileged children in a dialogue.
|
Lara Oshiomole, wife to Edo state’s governor, Adams Oshiomole, rose to national recognition, not only because of her status and undeniable beauty but also because of her charitable causes. In September 2015, she visited the Internally Displaced Persons’ camp in Uhogua community in Edo state where she donated the sum of Two million naira on behalf of the state government. This donation was meant for the upkeep of the IDPs.

Well, we can at least purchase fuel to power our generator sets and help ourselves...but more recently, our oil marketers have gone on some sort of strike of their own resulting to unavailability and scarcity of fuel at our local filling stations. With queues so long like that in 'Spongebob Squarepants' where the sea creatures form infinity lineups just to purchase 'krusty patty' at Krusty krab's, you'll have to dedicate your entire day, or at least your whole morning, just to get some litres of petrol. Who is to blame? Where do we even start from, discussing these present pathetic situations? When will it get better? Will it ever?? I am number 99 in the queue to get fuel, what's the situation in your area? #BringBackOurLight! Source: www.justiceokwudike.com

Days like these I wonder if the sun has engulfed Mercury and Venus in a massive heat wave and our dear planet, Earth, is next. The weather is so hot, the only thing you'll find comfort in, is a mesh-underwear! We've been consoling ourselves with lots of showers (which most times, is like a jacuzzi session) fan and AC (the latter which is like blowing a hot-air dryer to your face) just to calm our body temperature down. Just few days, there's been a total black out, our electricity provider has suddenly gone on strike and from the look of things, I can almost completely confirm that it is nationwide. |
Another presenter steps on stage to announce the…! *na here NEPA take light* *There isn’t any fuel to run the generator to continue the show so this is the much I can say* Did you watch the AMVCAs? What were your best moments? Did your favourite talent win? Did you enjoy the show? Share with us… |
The AMVCAs took place last Saturday night and our African stars showed up to impress. This event has to be the biggest award show in all of west-africa. This year, we saw Ik Osakioduwa been paired up with TV/radio personality, Minnie Dlamini, to anchor the prestigious event (No hating but I think we’ve seen enough of Ik at the AMVCAs, year after year; back to back. Let’s have some other MC, jeez!) My first best moment (from the start of the show) has to be John Okafor a.k.a Mr. Ibu and Chigurl presenting the award for Best actor in a comedy. This combination, I thought was brilliant and their skit I found hilarious. Up on stage was Falz, the bad guy- winner of the category, to receive his golden trophy (At this point, I had to quickly pick up something from another room so I didn’t quite hear his acceptance speech but I could see his suit from afar and I wondered why the choice of suit colour- yellow. Can someone confirm if he’s the new brand ambassador for MTN?) Congrats to Falz, talented guy!

HOW TO HAVE CLEAN, SEXY, KISSABLE LIPS

3) Go Get It: Everyone goes through hard times, everyone experiences defeat but what matters is how you respond to life's situations. Get out of the zone of self-pity. Re-strategize, lay out those plans and visions, double-up your effort and work to get results like you have just employed one more person when really, it's just you. This time, you are getting it done, this time, you are getting it right. Remember, someone is waiting for your success story to be motivated. Now, get up and go get it! |
Vision-setter", "Go-getter". One thing I've learnt in life so far is that nothing good comes easy (even if your only desire in life is to inherit your daddy's massive ton of wealth, you still have some waiting to do) From setting out to achieving great success, one thing is required and that is your attitude. Your attitude pretty much sets the tone for every other thing to follow. (1) Know What You Want: You have to (specifically) define your goals and put them into writing, of which you read to yourself in constant reminder. (2) Want What You Want: Sometimes we go into ventures and realise along the line that it wasn't what we actualised desired. It reminds me of the lyrics in one of Coldplay's songs, " if she gets what she wants, will she want what she gets..?" So do we consider ourselves as a failure if we go into a venture and quit at some point? Absolutely not. We are just at that stage, more informed, more enlightened in self-discovery. This should be an experience for making smarter decisions, a climbing block to greater heights. |

Many (including me) believe that it is a (purposely) subtle diss at the Academy and everyone that has made fun of him for having lost all these years. All the drama that goes into these award shows...but we are excited at the big news...CONGRATULATIONS LEO!! Source: www.justiceokwudike.com

*in related news* Did you guys notice the picture of Leo holding his trophy with his Hus "middle finger" sticking out?
|
So what can we learn from the long wait it took Leo to finally earn an Oscar? Perseverance! Sometimes in life, the result we expect may not come as quickly as we thought or planned but it is your duty to yourself to keep pushing, keep fighting for what you believe in and stand for, don't let the warrior inside you die, don't give up and soon, the much awaited victory will come to pass. |
Floods of headlines we expect to see this morning and dozens of funny memes have been launched right the second after the big announcement. *lol*
|
The Oscars held last night and no doubt, there was one moment the world was waiting for- that 'Leo moment'! Atlast, Leonardo DiCaprio (finally) wins his first Oscars for the 'Revenant'. A glorious moment it was.

Now, dance and love again
|
Don’t look back : Congrats if you’ve successfully gotten to this stage. Now get busy being the new you. No looking back at the past, the old you is dead and gone. Don’t look back.
|
Get up, get moving : It’s time to clean up the mess. Wipe the tears away, don’t cry anymore. Prepare to stand on your feet again. Face reality head-on. What your come back plan? (i don’t mean the evil plan to kidnap and kill your ex) Go for a jog, get a new haircut, switch up your style a bit, change something about yourself to mark the beginning of a new you.
|
A little numb never hurt nobody : Turn up the music. Pour into that glass, drink! It’s okay to cry in between sips. Help yourself forget the hurt a bit, after-all, you’re only human. Are you done? if yes, proceed to next step.
|
Breakdown: You’ve been bottling up your emotion, this is the time to let it out, let go. You’ve been hurt, feel feel to cry. You have to vent out this mixed feeling of sadness and anger. Shout the pain away, cry out, fall to the ground, smash one or two ceramics against the wall (don’t worry about the broken pieces all over the room, you cleaning it up afterwards is a healing therapy) Don’t just stand there, make a mess!
