The troubled and confused husband sensing that the snake bit on his wife was a spiritual attack, in a bid to save the life of his dying wife, then put her on his bicycle and rushed her to a fetish priest for spiritual intervention and herbal treatment. However she unfortunately didn’t survive the snake bite and later died at the fetish priest’s home. |
I guess you didn't read carefully the reply I made in regards t your comment? I said you don't know the Op,so you and I don't know his current situation aside bagging a new job with 70k..and all you could tell him is go and build a house! and no don't tell me you're advising him to build in an inexpensive location, before nko is he going to build in an expensive area on a 70k salary? C'mon get over it, he needs to first get going for some couple of months, then get married, establish his wife and at the same time he shouldn't forget his rent, I know alot of people who are so eager to build a house and along the line they end p owing their house rents together with other debts all in the name of been a Landlord, i understand it's good to be your own landlord, but would you expect someone living in a place like surulere, mushin, ikotun etc to just wake up and go and buy a land in ota, imota or shagamu all in the name of been a landlord and just because he's trying to cut cost, do you know the kind of amenities they've in such areas, what about schools for his potential kids, what business will the wife be doing? how will the Op even get to work supposing he works on the island? Op, don't be distracted...I'll advice you as an e-brother or e-family.Marriage is the only institution in the world where you get a degree before you start receiving lectures ...been married isn't just a child's play unless you wanna listen to joel3 and go ahead and build a mini-flat in Ogun state, while working in Lagos state and you only get the chance to see your family once in a week or once in a month...I know some people who have fallen to such suggestions that the first thing is to build a house once they start making money..yes they did built such houses but it;s still vacant cos they can't just cope and meet up.. Omo see advice, you don't even know Op that much and you have concluded that he should build a house, this kind of advice has led alot of people into further debts. Let's assume Op is currently residing in a room apartment somewhere in mushin and he works on the island, considering that a room apartment might not be more than 5000 a month, that means op is left with 65,000..then consider other expenses, transportation, bills, misc etc how will it be possible for the op to build that house you have just suggested? If he's going to build a house, putting into consideration the high price of lands and building materials then it means op will have to save alot, and I'm optimistic that with such salary op might need to spend much more to get to work, maybe he'll end up getting to work late and you know what that'll result in.. Anyway, back to the question..Op I'm not an economist ooo but I'll advise you to first manage or stay a bit where you currently stay and then save up in a year, let's say you manage to save up to 30k a month, that's 360 in a year, then after one year you can rent a mini flat(one room, one living room, one toilet, and kitchen), then get married( doesn't have to be extravagant, just go to the registry blah blah blah).. try to use the remaing money to furnish your place a little bit( you can furnish further later on) but keep small change for foodstuff and transportation, then save 30k again for another 6 months( that should give you 180k, use this to establish your wife, small shop and stock it up a bit, at least to start from somewhere).. use the remaining 6 months to save 30k again and use that to pay your house rent( this way you'll be in the good books of your landlord,)... next year try to save for 6 first 6 months and use part of it to support your wife's business and keep the rest just incase a child come's in between, use the remaining 6 months to save and pay your rent... Op, I'm not advocating that you shouldn't build a house, but to me, that's not and shouldn't be your top priority for now and shouldn't even be for the next couple of years,. Joel3: |
