Mtcheewwwww.

It's not by force to 'savage' or try to make a clown out of me.

Especially when you lost the momentum for a maximum effect at a clapback.

Do better next year.
He is more interested in gagging people from airing their opinions online than the actual debate. I don't know what's making him feel so uneasy though. Admitting a fact or praising another ethnicity doesn't remove anything from mine. But trust Nigerians to always go the parochial tribal way at the expense of objectivity.

I like u Magnoliaa (pls, no offense). I just do since I discovered u on this thread, perhaps because of your mannerism and intelligence (which attracts me btw). No offense in telling u abi?

Okay then. But what do you have to say about the screenshot where you were saying lagos and ogun yoruba are fake? That was also an honest mistake? huh

Yoruba are not the tribe to play tricks with. We are the boss there but we hardly do except some people are trying to claim over wiseness.
Boss, I am not even Igbo, honestly. You know some of these yeye battle we do on Nairaland, some of us stupidly do it for fun. Think about it, how can a sane person say Ogun or Lagos is not Yorubaland?

I was just trying to get back at them with that, believe me.

Lotta sense in here.

True. There's nothing bad with liberalism and progressiveness.

Most of the guys arguing on this thread sef are Tinupoo's supporters (and 8ful redpillarz as well). They are very tribalistic to the core, and I nor dey see eye to eye with them on a norm, so don't mind them. grin

Being proud as a Yoruba and defending the tribe's honour does not warrant you s******g on someone or another culture.
Thanks. I understand them though because I had been a tribalistic troll myself in the past. Nairaland has a way of changing somebody to meanie when you login especially politics section. I apologise for that Sha.

Your obsession with anything Yoruba will continue to hunt you. In your usual hateful approach, you are in this thread to instigate your disdain hatred hoping you will see your ethnic brothers that would fan it but you met your Waterloo and you have no option than to feign innocent.

You are nothing but a sly

Below are your hateful comments against Yoruba
I was trolling on that thread as I had done on some others in the past. It doesn't mean I cannot be serious whenever I want to.

Myself I am a liberal yoruba. But you went sneaky on us. That we are liberal doesn't mean we are stupid not to know when someone is trying to massage our ego to rob us. Why will you say some tribes are laying claims to lagos? Who are the tribes? Who are the ones trying to control it economically? Mention them.

And your usage of the phrase "yoruba dominated" sold you off in the first instance. And it took a lot of calling you out before you admitted to it.

Pls next time don't try to play such games.
Most of us Nigerians don't know how to do call out on something we feel is erroneous. Even when that (sneaky) wasn't my intention in the beginning, I then had to delay clarification and apology because of the insults and manner by which our people called me out on that.

Is there not economic competition in Lagos, sir? Yet which ethnicity is clearly still dominating?

Is there no tribe laying claim to Lagos historically? Yet which ethnicity is winning the historical battle?

Haven't a political figure tried to wrestle power from ACN/APC in the past and promised a certain ethnicity some political influence in Lagos State if voted for? What do you think will happen if he succeed?

See boss, I avoided mention any ethnicity and these points to prevent tribal war or being accused of stoking one.

It's not fair to continue doing this after I had explained and apologized.

yoruba liberals are a big curse to yoruba race.
First, that person u quoted misinterpreted my comment. And then he called me sub human. Imagine that kind of insult to a fellow man. Yet we blame the whites for exuding far less of such kind character. It's not fair, sir.

Second, I believe the liberal nature of the Yoruba is moderate and major leeway to their being more progressive in Nigeria.

I was born and bred in the West, boss. Extremism, most of the time, breeds terrorism. And laxity breeds degeneration or loss of value. I believe the Yoruba society is balance except what u are saying is that laxity has set in.

I may creat a thread on that later to avoid derailing this thread.

This is your first deceptive statement. Is Lagos a Yoruba state or a state that is not a Yoruba state but dominated by Yoruba?

After the deceptive comment, you erroneously implied that Yoruba people go out of their way to propagate some kind of scheme or illusion to make Lagos look like a Yoruba state even though it's not really a Yoruba state.

How hard is it for you to read and comprehend your own comment?
Lagos is YORUBALAND. Anybody that believes it's not is only deceiving him/herself. This thread is not to troll Yoruba people or something, I was just trying to gauge people's opinion on the topic to know if my observation is true. The first person (Vehintolar or something) that called me out on this was very rude and that kinda upset me. I apologise for that.

Saying it's "dominated by yoruba" implies it's meant to be dominated by something else instead.
I didn't mean to imply that. I was using that to allude to the fact that Lagos is a megacity where influx all over the world is on a daily. This has made competition for control of helm high whether politically or economically. Several tribes are laying claims to it too; some historically, others politically.

Lagos factor that's all. And the tribe that contributed to the present Lagos Yoruba that is quite different from the Oyo Yoruba.

The ijebus, egba and awori are party people who love social events alot. Entertainment is a serious business, these are the major tribe that lead to the Lagos Yoruba dominating everywhere.

The Oyo varient Is not popular. I think Its the Lagos factor.
Besides I think yorubas have more citizen in diaspora so it's easier for Yoruba music to go father than the rest.

The slave trade also, I've heard someone say in Trinidad Tobago Yoruba culture is obvious amongst the black there, I don't know how true it is.

Benin republic speaks Yoruba, Togo speak Yoruba also Liberia etc.

Besides the language is simple to grab from slang.

I mix my Yoruba with some Igbo word because I'm used to hearing Igbo also.
Are u saying most of what we see are mainly achieved by Lagos Yorubas?

With Omoniles,Baales and Obas all over Lagos....You don't see Emirs or Obis there.
Does that mean other ethnicities aren't there? Aren't they making effort to take much out of opportunities that Lagos has to offer? Which ethnicity outnumber others numerically? Which ethnicity is ruling the state? Don't be insecure like him, sir?

Yes that was before the internet age .. before the social media age ..

Lagos was the formal place to blow.. then they control media

Today
Lagos still na t her place to blow ?

People blow via different social media ..
no one need to enter Lagos before e blow

Do good music .. and you blow ..

Kennis music is outdated ..

All those humans rip niggas off the street ..

Abi sabinus need Yoruba media yo blow ?

Time and chance .. not Lagos Yoruba propaganda
The problem with you is that you do emotion but I don't. I face reality as it is. Why are artiste of Yoruba Origin more successful in the music industry today? Why is Yoruba the dominant language in the music industry today? Why are their movies the highest grossing today? Apart from Sabinus, how many comedians based out side Lagos are super stars? Mention them and compare the number with lagos's.

Get away with your silly childish emotional tantrum and let mature people discuss issue jare.

Simply because Yoruba are in government..

When Gej was in power .. igbos did dominate .. and nolly wood was everything.. who get time for Yoruba

The north are not social/ liberal but conservatives and “ religious “

Is always between Yoruba and igbos..

When Obasanjo was there it was so.. the moment yarduA and Gej came .. the took the back seat

Nothing like decades or something ..

Most Yoruba actors and actress that started 99 are just becoming celebrities under Osibanjo

Who knows them under Gej and how celebrity was their celebrities after 2007.
I mentioned decades in relation to music bro, not movie. Of course Igbos have been dominant when it comes to Nollywood.
