I have noticed with keen interest how the Yoruba language has become the major language of use in Nigerian commercial and entertainment sectors.

Igbo use to be especially in Nollywood but since the past two decades, Yoruba language has been the choice language in our music industry, and recently, it is gradually taking over the movie industry too.

Even most Nigerian slangs on socials media (Twitter, Facebook,etc.) are mostly of Yoruba Origin.

I know Lagos, a Yoruba dominated state and commercial capital of Nigeria, plays a major role in these. However, their tendency to infuse their culture in whatever they do thereby propagating it cannot be ignored also.

The "soft power" is getting stronger year by year and this will play a major role in Nigerian future politics and Africa at large.

What are others not doing? Why are we slacking?

I think Nigerians generally are just too dirty. We need to change.
I passed through mile 2--Iyana iba--Agbara Road today. kai! I SMH for my country people. I mean some people are busy defecating by the road sides; the markets are dirty from dirts being tossed around by market men and women; the road is littered with dirts as a result of passengers throwing every damn thing out from the vehicle window; there's smell of urine and poo everywhere. Aren't we intelligent animals?

Lagos state government needs to look into this. Lagosians need to change for good too. I just don't particularly like Sanwo's regime because of this. Fashola did a better job.

It is not even true so do not bother. If you see how far it is from the atlantic ocean itself you will know it makes no economic and environmental sense. It is like dredging each or all of the 4 rivers (Ona River in the North and West; Ogbere River towards the East; Ogunpa River flowing through the city and Kudeti River in the Central part of the Ibadan metropolis) Ibadan or river Osun in Oshogbo to link Oyo and Osun to the atlantic through Ogun or Lagos or Ondo state or Niger/Chad having a dream to dredge Lake chad to the atlantic ocean.

There is gas all over Nigeria so just forget that FG will make such huge investments first on dredging just to collect and sell gas. If it were so, it would even have been done before Bonny and NLNG trains in Rivers state located in Bonny at the mouth of the atlantic ocean.

Sokoto might have 1000 students for example and maybe 800 passed with 5 credits.

Then they will compare that to Lagos who have 19000 students that 18000 passed and they will be saying Sokoto is better than Lagos students.

StatiSense should have given the whole details.

I understand you because that means More admission, more graduate and more entrants into the corporate world. But isn't percentage data meant to capture the strength of 2 or more groups in a comparative data?
