I think they did the right thing. You can't dismiss a soldier because of traffic offence.

I don't care what he did as FCT minister or as BPE director (if he is guilty one day the law will catch up with him), i dont even care if he criticises the government (it is his right to do so); what i find unforgivable is his politicising the killings going on in the North, justifying these killings and insulting the southern christians in the north who are mostly at the receiving end.

I think I may have a solution to this: Since the average muslim housa/fulani is against this senless killings, they could offer christians security by way of human shield during church services. Let's see if BH is also ready to slaughter their own.

A friend did the charting and found out that it is under LASU acquistion. I was later told by the agent that it falls under lands that could be ratified. Can you confirm this to me and if true can you process it for me?

Even in a place like Nairobi, parking is tolled. The 1st hour is free and the subsequent ones are tolled. Nothing wrong with parking fees here, the guys have to recover their investment.

Am sure this guy will,  I have listened to him for several years offer constructive criticisms on human right abuses by government agents. I think he is one of those rare people in naija.

The Mall was opened today by Gov Fashola. You need to see the number of people here, it's mind-blowing! There is hardly space for people to move. This is gonna be a kill for shop owners.

To correct the some impressions:
1. The Mall is built on 54,000m2 not 28,500m2 as reported by PM News.
2. The project officially took off in May 2010, making it an 18months project duration.
3. The picture posted by PM is only one of three entrances.
4. For sure traffic will be an issue that is why the government has just approved another by-lane along Awolowo way. Idea is that when one gets at Comic/Cement bus stop, he leaves the awolowo way and enters the Mall through Secretariate road. Also the Kafi street has just been made a one way road.
@ Jason123 & Columenlla - which companies do you work for at the Mall, I took work there with one of the contractors.

this is layman talk, a surveyor told me. A storey is a building with one floor. When floors are being counted, you count from the first floor ignoring ground floor while with storey you count everything. I used to share your view until I was corrected by a man trained at the university of London and a fellow of NIESV for over 30years.

Naa. It is a matter of convention. The counting in most Europe  and UK is different from that of America: There are two major schemes in use across the world. In one system, used for instance in the majority of Europe, the ground floor is the floor on the ground and often has no number or is assigned the number zero. Bolded is from the wikipedia. You can get more information from there and many sources.

Are those adjoining buildings occupied? There seem to be no protection for the occupants from hazards.

yes we use the British system in naija, the ground floor is usually not counted.

This is like sabotaging the effort of the Fg to provide power. The minimum should be an immediate dismissal and then prosecution. GEJ has to show that he isnt joking with the promise to provide power.
