Gboliwe: People are usually kind to me so much so that at times I get embarrassed.
But, 2years ago, in february of 2011, a nairalander i'd never met, never related with, never ever noticed showed me kindness that made me fear God. It was a kindness that sent shivers down my spine. Till today, I still wonder how it happened
Don't put us in suspense. pls share with us.

I remember when i was writing my GCE exams in another state, and i had accomodation problems. A guy called Julius who was also a candidate for the exams and lives in the town offered me accomodation in his family house. with food, water and other things to make a guest comfortable. i saved alot of money that year. His family took me as one of their own. And till now we have been best of friends. i will forever be grateful to Julius and his family for the rest of my life. I also remembered the little kindness i showed to a young mother and her daughter. i was going home after watching a football match one night. The grounds were wet and slippery due to an heavy rainfall earlier on that day. And i was finding it difficult to walk steadily. Then i met a woman and her children on their way to church, she had a little boy on her back and another little girl holding her hands. i was just making the decision to help her in my mind when the woman asked for my help ''Brother, pls help me with my daughter, so that she won't fall''. i picked the little girl and carried her. The little one was looking at my face, i gave her a big smile and she smiled back. i think that assured her that she was safe with me because the next thing she did was to wrap her hands around my neck and rest her head on my shoulder. To cut the story short, we reached their home without any of us falling. The woman thanked me profusely to the extend of me being embarassed. That night when i got home, i felt a sense of contentment. Now it's your turn. Tell us your story of how unexpected gifts or actions by others impacted you and helped you to become a better person. i look forward to reading about your experiences. And i hope this hits front page so that we can get more response.[email]I remember when i was writing my GCE exams in another state, and i had accomodation problems. Nairaland GeneralHe's So Glad The World Did Not End Last Year by justplainpaul(op): 8:56am On Dec 22, 2013
Around this time last year december, it was said that the world will come to an end and i'm so glad the world did not end. i still have so many unanswered questions! i never found out who let the dogs out, the way to get to seasame street, why Dora doesn't just use google maps, why we don't ever see the headline ''Psychic wins lottery'', why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed, why ''abbreviated'' is such a long word, why lemon juice is made with artificial flovour yet dishwashing liquid is made with real lemons, why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections, and why was Goodluck Jonathan elected president and why were we gullible about it, why do you have to ''put your two cents in'' but it's only a ''penny for your thoughts''? where's that extra penny going to? and why is Rihanna not my girlfriend? why did joanie love chachi? if a deaf person has to go to court is still called a hearing? can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane? why do the Alphabet song and Twinkle Twinkle little star have the same tune? why did you just try to sing those two previous songs? And just what is victoria's secret? why are south africans so xenophobic? you see, it's good the world is still going on. i have too many questions...... to be continued.

@fellow Nigerians, you must have noticed that in other threads, these south africans, ghanians and kenyans don't interact with us because they don't have the medium in which they will have the privilage of discussing with Nigerians. so whenever any of their countries is mentioned by Nigerians, they will flood the thread like a school of piranha on a steak, very happy for having the opportunity to interact with the Giants of africa. so pls, let them knock themselves out. it's their lucky day, afterall it's xmas season.

Op, i think you should tell her. you never can tell, her love for you might make this water under the bridge. But don't expect an early forgiveness and acceptance. Be patient, and most of all, pray to God for forgiveness and his intervention. And pls, try to update on any outcome after telling her because a problem shared is a problem half solved.
