UltimateDreamer: The CH-3's and its (ISR) functions have been active all through since purchase, if I'm correct most of the videos of strikes are from the UAV's The Achilles heel for the NAF remains the cost of the precision munitions, as its hard and unconscionable to justify expending 50,000 dollars on single targets. This would be the same problem when the super-tucanos arrive and everyone who is happy about their delivery would be disappointed in the long run if the NAF is unable to expend as much precision munitions as it need to owing to the financial costs.
Public selling price for precision air to ground missiles:
American Hellfire ~ approx. 120,000 dollars Chinese Ar1/Ar2 (Hellfire replica) ~ approx. 60,000 dollars
These selling price's are marked up 20x ~ 50x from original cost of production
Nigeria should focus on cost of production and cost of materials in a precision missile, NAF, NA, and NN should start a program to reverse engineer the Ar1 and Ar2 and also the incoming missiles from America, albeit weary bout the American missiles as they might have a phone home component if and when the missile is disassembled, hence before disassembly, the engineers and the missile must be enclosed in a faraday cage, to prevent any signals leaving the locale. The reverse engineering team should also focus on the useful paveway laser guide kit, attached to dumb bombs and rockets turning them smart and precise. This will enable the military conduct more precise executions. at 5,000 dollars cost of production, that's still some 2million naira a precise strike, more manageable than 60,000dollars, 22million naira a precise strike. Just to correct some notions in this post. Most of NAF reconnaissance videos released to the public are from the King Air and ATR-42 aircrafts. If you look at the videos released, you would be able to clearly tell the difference. With regards to the Super Tucanos, we won't have any of such problems as you have listed above. The reason NAF Super Tucano deal is nearly 475 million dollars is because NAF invested heavily in precession weaponry. And as we can see in NAF operations, the force doesn't just deploy assets because they can. Assets are deployed according to requirement. There are missions for different types and class of aircrafts. The Drones would mostly be used to target terrorist infrastructure and rear bases. That's why only 2 units are going to be deployed in Maiduguri. As we have seen NAF CH-3A's are based in Adamawa, not even at the headquarters of operation lafiya dole. The Tucanos would do most of the heavy lifting, they'll most likely replace the Alpha jets in this role, while assets are redeployed elsewhere. |

Toju200: SSBN is just too proud he should learn to clarify things before posting and also Stop sugar coating things.
1. He posted a pic of MV Mary Hudson a private security vessel and tagged it SDB3 when we all know the ship isn't yet completed. 2.He said Nigeria has more Satellites than all African countries combined, which is a lie SA and Egypt alone has the same number or more Satellites as us. 3.He posted a pic of A US military personnel parachuting down and said it's TY buratai everyone. 4.He tried to Jeopardize US, Nigeria military cooperation on Counter insurgency, Saying because we acquired drones,VT4 tanks and Artillery they want to talk with US.What kind of talk is that. This prompted DHQ to warn that SSBN is not in any way related to Nigeria armed forces..
So what's there to be jealous about lies? That's the main reason for this disclaimer from DHQ. That boy does not listen. He lives in his imaginary kuvuki land. |

olatunjithomas: Yet, the same Defence Headquarters claimed some of his contents are "factual".
You don't need to hate on people to grow, just do your own You are not in position to declare his contents mere fallasies, it shows how how much you envy him. Posting outright lies for unsuspecting individuals like you to read and redistribute is dishonest, fraudulent and a criminal offence. |

intrepidJ: When you needed his help in putting out there the condition of that soldiers mom he wasn't deranged huh lol. Even without acknowledgment he pinned it his handle. I cannot count how many people reached out to him, he directed them to Striker Arabs page. No fanfare ir chest thumping. Just look at you all reveling about this. It shows the jealousy and envy bro. For real its somehow. Haba. Really, this is sad!! Everything I post in this thread ends up on his twitter feed. He comes here, copy's and pastes. The guy literally feeds day and night off what I post. However, that's not the problem, the fact he continues to spread lies, false information and distortion to unsuspecting members of the public is a National Security Risk. He has been warned, begged and corrected, but he has continued to make a fool of himself. Helping a soldier does not give you the right to routinely, and constantly lie on twitter. It's in fact a criminal offence under the Nigerian penal code to mislead, spread false information and outright lie to the general public. If you don't know it, better beware of it now. |
