US Navy awards Frigate contract to Fincantieri. Fincantieri was awarded a $795 mil US Navy contract for detail design & construction of the first ship at its Marinette shipyard in Wisconsin. Options for up to 10 ships could make the contract worth up to $5.6 billion. Fincantieri was competing with a frigate design based on the Italian Navy's FREMM frigate. This is one of the very few times the US has awarded a Ship contract to a foreign country (Italy) All 10 ships will be built in the US. - Aegis Baseline 10 - 16 Naval Strike Missiles - 32 VLS with Maritime Strike Tomahawk, SM-6, ESSM, etc - SEWIP Block 2/3 EW suites The US navy classifies this ship as a Small Surface Combatant. What an incredible Navy they have.

Xbee007: The crux of the matter is not really the length of his write-ups but the content. I read New York Times articles daily that are certainly longer.
He has been arguing about the Super Tucano deal for days now complaining about the price and the delivery date. He kept mentioning that the delivery starts on 2024 even after he has been told it starts 2021. He types long meaningless posts with no substance. Continues to parrot same debunked claims over and over again. |

The Nigerian Defence industry continues to grow in leaps and bounds.
We are currently entering a critical stage, as it is now, I believe more than 4,000 Nigerians work in the defence industry in Nigeria.

Faithful007: if possible, there can also be a civilian version. They armour hundreds of civilian vehicles. This one looks like it's for police, paramilitary, DSS and military special forces. I really think Proforce would soon build IFVs like this, I can sense it.
