To be honest, I really don't know the difference between the Wing Long II and CH-4.

I thought asymmetrical trainings are just a component of the larger military training and not the whole training itself. Enlighten me boss.
You are correct, asymmetrical warfare training is a component of the larger military training, however like the US did for 20 years in Afghanistan and Nigeria for the past 12 years, Low Intensity Conflict are a tough, tough business and is capable of overthrowing governments similar to what we nearly saw in Mali before the intervention of the French, Chad and AFISMA.

My concern is the Nigerian military is too focused with warfare in an asymmetrical environment.

Our training over the past decade has been focused on fighting only threats like we have with Boko-Haram.

Our procurement has also been geared mainly towards equipment that deal with the types of threats Boko-Haram poses.

While we should rightly deal with threats in the asymmetrical environment, we should ensure that we train our men for conflicts such as we have seen in Ukraine, Azerbaijan vs Armenia, Sudan vs Ethiopia and in Sudan Civil War.

Do we have the capacity to deal with the above mentioned threats, this is the question?

Chai. Nigerian military has woken up from its decades old slumber. They are zealous with this modernization. Good one.
We have a good military, strong military.

However i think our military is tilting too much toward asymmetrical warfare, which is not really a good thing.

We are investing so much into LICW conflicts, we need to have a balance, a mix of capabilities.

Former President Buhari invested significantly, I hope that with the removal of subsidy the government will have more funds to invest in other military equipment priority areas.

We don't have many modern Battle Tanks, we don't have many modern artillery, we are lacking GBADS and IFVs, we need to invest in the training of our men.
