The missing link might just be the wait for passage of 2020 budget tho....it was supposed to be done last week but it has been shifted twice now ...

This court case has been postponed twice for reasons best known to the parties involved. If we get to February, it is also very likely that it will be postponed again to june 2020 and postponed again and again. So we continue to wait?

Why did the IGP order the release of successful candidates despite the court order in the police recruitment. It simply shows that maintaining status quo does not hinder the process. It means let things continue the way they have been.

If the GMD wants that list to be released today, that irrelevant court case cannot stop it. There is missing link in the delay that we are yet to find out.

lool..all this na wash o.......i remember two different ppl speaking to me about pppra recruitment both all under agencies under ministry of petroleum.....one told me last year that they were planning on doing something late last year or early this year and another told me about pppra collecting CV but it was for special candidates around september ending ish and they were hoping to close out on it before the end of the year..tho the person explicitly said it was based on recommendation sha.......so the disclaimer from management might just be bobo juice to save face..can u even recollect the last time PPPRA advertised......lool..na naija we dey

I am beginning to feel this way....you know how Nigeria is if u don't apply pressure na long long story you go start to hear....and my biggest challenge with this delay is the longer it delays the higher the chances of change and replace...this things happen all the time ..next thing ministry of petroleum or maybe nnpc has a bill they want to actively pursue they start lobbying for more slots...and you must give in except you want ur bills scrutinised...lool delay in Nigeria sometimes means denial oo.... this days social media is the way 4ward........btw what of ur IT source has there been any update...

As I said earlier, nothing may happen as regards this recruitment if we sit back and do nothing. Call NNPC out on all platforms, let the recruitment trend on social media for everybody to see. Let's stay woke.

We can start by storming their Twitter posts with comments about the recruitment. Let it gain steam. Let's get them on their toes. You've been hearing about contract staff protesting and gist of cancelling EH for contract staff. See, in this country, nothing may move unless you move. What do you lose by demanding that the process be concluded?

I have told you guys before, the GMD saying "soon" could be next year or later. Don't sleep with that. Call NNPC out. I have stuff I'm doing. I'm not idle but I want this stuff to just end properly. It doesn't make sense. Let's stand united guys.

If all of @NNPC group, @MKKyari posts on Twitter are filled with questions about the recruitment, they will be forced to respond. They have thousands of followers and it will be bad for their public image. Let's at least do something. We can make 100 comments per post. We can make their Twitter pages the new Nairaland thread. Let's go there guys.

sorry just a quick question o...the salary for ss6 there is it the same salary as the newly approved wage scale for nnpc also....abi is ss6 in pppra and ss6 in Nnpc different..??

ppl are missing d essence of this tricycle ambulance ..not everywhere is very developed . u have health centres in remote areas...this would be good for them...also with a tricycle in traffic u can easily manouvre ur way quickly to ur destination especially if there is traffic...u aways have to look for a way to solve problems which ever terrain u find urself....so he most likely has the bus version ....but the tricycle would go a long way so solve so many immediate concerns...we see how long it takes vehicles to manouvre when in traffic..so to me o .the tricycle is a welcome development. .it might not be all that now...but hey ...charity must start somewhere...as time goes on ..am sure he'll improve.....

Loool....I did see the new term ...from what I know it just means continue with d way things have been ..judges use it most times when they don’t have all the facts of a case so to make sure at least there is some form of order ...they institute it ...let things continue as they pending an alternative order from court ...and like someone here pointed out knowing that the final stage was apl ...I was expecting to see a temporary injunction order on d release of apl pending the outcome of the case.....but hey what do I know....

I also believe same ...maintaining status quo to my understanding is let things continue the way they are pending the outcome of the case to my own understanding ...an example during divorce battles there might the issue of child custody the judge might just tell them to maintain status quo ...which means whatever arrangement that was in place should still be there or be in play pending the outcome of case in court ..and if the case favors the appellant the status quo can then be changed ....i might be wrong but this is what I understood by it all this while...

No one had file an injunction, as a matter of fact, i was looking for the word "injunction" but i couldn't see.
Status Quo implies let thing's remain the same, should the werey lawyer got the wind, that, NNPC wann start dispatching APL, then he can seek succor in the court by filing an injunction.

I am not a lawyer but i did public health law & environmental law �.

How are you doing today?I have been away from the thread for about a week so I just saw this comment today.
As regards the recruitment, I believe the alerts being received by applicants show that the Executive have started taking action on the process after the committee formed to look at the list sent their report last week.
At this point, no one has any further update as it lies within the purview of the President who doubles as the Minister of Petroleum.The payments show that the new salary scale has been approved as Panalyst and a few others have said here and an order has been given for the process to continue and bring it to its logical conclusion which will be the release of the list of successful applicants.
It is not true however,that all those being paid the transport allowances are the successful ones.I can safely say that it is just the corporation trying to conclude that aspect of the recruitment.
Someone also mentioned in his/her comment on this thread that the Presidency is too big to bother about something as little as NNPC recruitment; that assertion is faulty because as the main cash cow of the country,everything about it is of huge importance to the government of the day.Couple that with the fact that NNPC is under the Petroleum Ministry whose Minister is the President himself.Where else will the authorization to implement or cancel the list and by extension the recruitment exercise come from?Food for thought.[/b]

No brother. there was a meeting today at the towers that apparently would have discussed this issue along with the improved pay package for employees. but thats just what i heard, won't know till this week if it held or anything came out of it.

i do agree with u, however on a second look, in Nigeria the longer something delays the longer the opportunities for change and replace and with staff's retiring it could lead to being forgotten which could then lead to outright cancellation if a new set come in, hence why sometimes its good to make hay while the sun is still shining.

Yes you are right, it is too early for all these. Let's chill until the end of the year. The social media thingy can easily be abused. People that didn't even apply or failed the CBT test will take advantage of it.And if need be, I feel a more formal way is better, thru newspapers etc

i believe the one your speaking about was the 2010 own...which was concluded in 2012......later that year they started another....tho...if i remember correctly

I got to second round only because I had a walkover in first round (my opponent did not come). I was beaten black and blue in the 2nd round.

All the other 4 reps of my then company (whose opponents came) were beaten in first round. So, technically, I went farthest in the competition. I moved to a new company few weeks after that competition.
