lols, truthfully speaking u dont even need to call him and tell him...let him be if he calls sef dont answer for a few times ignore him, show a lack of interest,...hang out with other folks, upload the pics of you chilling and having fun.....when u answer his calls try to make it brief and the end you can say u want to go hangout with a friend that u'll call him back...but dont call back.....when he wants to come back to his senses he would..so that he wont use u to catch cruise...whatever pain ur feeling ..hide it.....you cant teach a man how to come back to his senses....when he sees you wont tolerate nonsense in go sit up.....thank me later..lools...go out and meet other people.....me i always tell ppl u can always control ur emotions from the onset..it makes u very aware.....that way u dont get too entangled until ur a bit sure of the person.....peace...lols i wish i was there to help u...sometimes guys eye dey clear when dem get competition......haha Gayatri: Thank You, i so appreciate this.. I will.. I'd have to gather the strength now and call him to tell him... |

i think it depends on whats important 4 u and what motivates you....different things motivate different ppl..some money, some career advancement, some opportunities/networks available....someone like me if a place am working is really my field and i enjoy it and the pay in the new place is not too different or not that much i'll stick to my old place ...but if i feel i'll be better off career wise and money wise then 'll move...it all depends on ones motivation.. Nwanyiogwashi: I am thinking in that direction but my friends has called me more than 14 times giving me reason why I not move. |

Lool...did I actually say I didn’t also score high..I was just saying what is obtainable...whether u like it or not it’s d truth tho...besides I never said I had a big shot....but I dey try find sha ...Incase u come across any u don’t want to use pls remember me sha...that aside...d point am trying to Make is high scores are good but it is not guarantee for anything...sometimes even going to meet ur senator in d National Assembly sef with ur high score to seek 4 assistance might just do the trick and get lucky esp..if they were just given slots....no one knows ...peace and success to all... bukhety: I really do not understand the point of all of you pushing this narrative of no be by high score, na God's favour and senator's candidates ish. Pls, what do you want us to do about it gan gan? If you know Mr President, abeg dey your dey and leave us with nobody to live in peace. No dey use us dey console yourself. One thing ppl don’t understand that always tickles me ....is dis surge for invitation for interview ..lools...it never ceases to amaze me...ppl should just pray 4 Favour ....am sure most of the lobbying for this job has already started and intensified esp after this test...lool all this high high scores are good but it doesn’t secure u anything ..apl is d goal ....small piece of advice too esp for those with high scores try and speak to those in high places now if u can as it would be a easier for you....finally let me just reemphasize what I said some months back...the pass mark can’t be 70 and it comes down to between u that scored 90 and a senators candidate that scored 70 from ur state and u expect them to take u ..lool...e no go work ..all pass na pass o......all na merit o..but imagine now u scored 90 and a member of the house sends ur name as a candidate...u stand a far better chance... na so govt job dey go....anyways peace ....I wish everyone success... SFCommander2: You dey mind that girl. A day after my virtual exam on Nov. 14 I was on phone call with a federal character commissioner. The chairman of the commission soon conveyed a meeting to 'investigate' the recruitment. They eventually put a call through to the ES.
There are certain things I heard that I can't say here. You guys should just stop talking about your grades and start praying for God's favor.
BTW no one is saying that you people who scored higher grades won't be invited for interview. But receiving the APL is God's divine exclusive right to decide. You need to understand that 'This is Nigeria.' |

Loool...local man I dey greet ...same here .........that thread was funny at its peak tho.... Gbyms: I remember how excited I was during the NNPC recruitment. Aced the test, got to the interview, I could beat my chest that I did well. Coupled with my source at Managerial level, my name was on the success list. I was already geared up for resumption. My source kept telling me to pray because swapping names always happen in things like this. After all said and done, APL was released and I didn’t get it. I was depressed. Sometimes I stroll to NNPC thread remembering the good old days of being a hopeful. Haha. I even emailed Nnpc telling them to check well as I was supposed to get the letter yet nothing. Anyway my point is, while preparing, start praying from now. You are good doesn’t mean you would be chosen. Don’t be too excited too so you don’t get damaged when the worst happens. Cheers. P.S I applied for this job casually tho so good luck to all of us. |

this thread it haff tey...loool...how is everybody doing....hope our EH ppl are holding strong...local men i dey greet o...it seems what is currently delaying EH has already been established here and is in line with what a contact told me recently...let me just add ...what ever pressure u guys are putting on govt officials keep on putting it e dey work.....so here is what i heard there has been so much pressure on them from govt about EH since, they didnt also advertise all available EH roles for a reason..now they didnt want a situation where someone outside would come 2 take up a role that someone within the system could fill up just because the person within the system doesnt meet up with d required number of years because he was working in nnpc.....so what they now did was ppl on SS2 who were qualified were given an opportunity to write exams for DM straight instead of going to SS1 while those in SS1 who were qualified based on some indices used were given opportunity to write for Manager straight as against DM as there were lots of vacancies due to the amount of ppl retired already...to avoid what usually used to happen in d past where because ur colleague from outside who had gotten 2 a particular level higher outside comes in and automatically becomes ur boss just because he has a particular number of years experience.....so its what they are currently writing now ...am sure once they are done they'll have an idea of the roles available and depending on how buttons are pressed they could still take more EH than earlier planned....that was what i was told sha.....GT's hope u guys are also enjoying ur programmes...peace all.... |

Abeg may God not shame us with this NCDMB recruitment. I pray for speed and success IJN. Worse than not getting the job sef is the uncertainty of the unknown and the time delay.
It is well. |

errm, the 2009/2010 DPR recruitment u spoke about was actually concluded in 2013 a year after the NNPC BATCH OF 2010 concluded theirs in 2012. so as at 2012 they were not called but in 2013 they were called if i recall correctly under diezaini......cheers babacha: Chief u are very wrong. In 2012 i work with DPR as an adhoc staff in port harcourt. I submit my daily report to the zonal head. I was in DPR office port harcourt for 6 months. The Zonal head was lamenting that they are lacking junior staff and the recruitment they conducted was inconclusive. The reason he gave for the inconclusive is wat i will not tell you. So go and ask those your 3 guys dat you know when and where they got their letter from.
You are the one giving wrong information to support your claim. The information am giving you is not from a guy who toke part in the recruitment but from a top management staff of DPR. Till today i still visit the office if i want to
My friend, those your 3 guys, what they got is imagination offer letter
Any way i have important things to attending to, i cant waste my time arguing with you. Know that i dont say things base on what i read from nairaland. |

...baba ...u have said it all....that pppra own be like film trick...i didnt want to say much ...lool...even PEF..(as at last week they were doing interviews)...lools...na just to pray say sizeable space dey for merit o....lool i laugh when i hear ppl mention dey didnt write their name in advertisement........d ppl wey suppose know about the recruitment know already. am sure its also so that they can put their own ppl too and some merit and reduce giving slots to some ppl who dey wouldnt ordinarily give except its widely advertised...loool...if i mention how some ppl qualified for dpr interview thru merit sef back then ppl would be shocked......once its govt try and do ur part and read and pass esp for merit ..but even then i repeat if u know someone use it.....because sometimes at selection it boils down to that.....las las ..Big men might have already sent there list just saying.... ...peace Kaleidoscope96: I've never applied for nnpc and dpr so I don't know how the process was but the fact that they didn't (NCDMB) put their name out means next to nothing tbh. Let's stop drawing plenty graphics from that one act. Highest it may reduce the number of applicants. I know a lot of all these speculations and glorifying of NCDMB process (and the integrity of the agency and its ES) which we are not aware of is just to make ourselves feel better and not lose hope which is not a crime. But don't talk yourself into forgetting the country you're in or how things work in reality.
The other five MPR agencies you mentioned apart from nnpc and dpr and how their recruitment is coded because they are avoiding politicians and they want meritocracy is almost laughable but it's just too sad. The one I know of their gist is PPRA, first hand info, saw with my own eyes through the whole process. They basically called the person and said Bleep minister recommended you for this recruitment (in my front, no be dem say), no submission of CV anywhere or application portal or process . The person went, in one week wrote exam, did interview and a month after APL came. I for chook head but they said they were looking for 1st class and 2:1.
Even for the exam every body there was as a result of connect because the recruitment wasn't listed anywhere how else will you know if not for connect. Some people still didn't get it, connect pass connect and maybe they had certain requirements (like the grades, or the roles didn't fit, I no know) that they didn't meet up to but e sure me die say everybody that was employed in last year's PPPRA recruitment down to JS staff is connect. I don't have personal info on PEF but we dey hear their gist too.
So I know we want to believe the autonomy of NCDMB and how they will surprise us but there's no how the presidency won't have his slot, Minister of Petroleum won't have his slot and other key personnel. If they like let them be as honest as a pope.
The ES himself in as much as he was probably qualified for the job, we all know that it's the current Minister of Petroleum that was his connect to lobby the President to get that position.
Word getting to me is that the politics has been done and he is going to be reinstated. After the President and MPR have basically renewed your tenure in your office. You'll now tell me that you are hiring and they won't get their slots for people if they want .
Independent consultant or not, abeg if you get strong connection especially from Presidency to Minister of Petroleum, go and press it o. And get proper update for we that are hoping that even if they use 70% for connect let meritocracy favour us for the 30%. I really hope they are fair enough to do a high % of the recruitment with meritocracy sha but let's try to calm down with the hero worship and portraying of what is not. No be today we wan change the reality of what this country is. |

true to an extent ...no doubt he has done really well but that is d thing with govt job in our country its not only about doing well u also have 2 be a bit of a politician to lobby well and read signals...a lot of folks might also be lobbying to takeover because this is politics the national cake has to go round...not withstanding ..pmb has been known as someone that likes a bit of continuity esp if someone has done well....so u never know ..he might just be reappointed...and i feel that should even be where our focus/prayers should be now....since d recruitment started closer to the end of his tenure.. .though it was supposed to start early on this year ...pre covid....i wish him well at least he decided 2 throw it open and toe the part of NNPC and DPR instead of going underground..and like how NNPC and DPR ended same fate also awaits NCDMB ...peace Newcastle2023: The ES will most likely be reappointed. He has done a phenomenal job. To my mind, he's unarguably the highest performing CEO in any public organization in Nigeria at the moment. He is forward thinking, thorough and believes in due process.
Incidentally, he was recommended to the President for the ES position in 2016 by his current boss, the HMSPR who doubles as the leader of APC in Bayelsa State.
The advertised recruitment will be strictly merit based. There might be another mode of recruitment that is independent of the advertised recruitment for a select few based on other considerations.
Be wary of those talking about slots here and there. I know of someone that has both local and foreign work experience with a number of both national and international professional certifications that was personally recommended for employment there by a serving Honourable Minister that's a very close friend of the HMSPR, he was also an Executive Governor for 8 years, a Distinguished Senator for 12 years and the leader of APC in his State. That hasn't given the guy an immediate employment yet.
The example above is to show you how much of due process is under the current ES leadership. I also believe the recruitment process will end possibly in September. I'd encourage all here to do their best and pray for God's favour. All the best! |
