PoliticsRe: As PDP Crisis Deepens: Jonathan Begs Govs Aliyu, Lamido by Kairoseki77: 3:24pm On Jan 05, 2014
ilugunboy: It was gathered that the Presidency got strong evidence that the anti-Tukur forces, led by a South-south governor and a minister, who is also from the South-south, compelled the party hierarchy to postpone the meetings.
A party leader told Sunday Vanguard, last night, that the governor, who has the ears of many other PDP governors, was frontally opposed to the continued retention of Tukur and had successfully mobilised for the removal of the party chairman during the NEC meeting.
The North is abandoning Jona, the SW is abandoning Jona, and now the SS is abandoning him.

He better hope he can win the election with the votes of the SE + Asari Dokubo.

MY FRIEND! The word you are looking for is "thief". grin

Bishop Juice: Another muslim filth
Why na?

Bishop Juice: Nigeria is burning ediot if you may have not realized. You have islamic fanatics and hausa/fulani militias killing christians and any body they deem as a political threat to their rule come 2015. But you won't understand this since osun ediots like yourselves were the only ones to vote a mallam in the last election.

You also have xenophobia and revamping of ethnic divisions be perpetuated and promoted by your APC governors in the SW and you still intend peace for yourselves come 2015? What is sure to come out of 2015 , regardless of if GEJ wins or loses, is the fact that the Middle Belt has woken up and the SS know who their real enemies are so this nonsense you call Nigeria should not exist a day after the election.

I will want Nigeria to divide merely to see how you guys in the SW will fare without free oil and if your unabated basket mouths will still leak criticism when you are governed from Sokoto Caliphate.

Olofo it is time to wake up!
Have your meds finished?

How the NL politics section works.

Talk about propaganda!

These Igbos just create threads all over the place, fill up the first page with praise singing, and then gang up on anyone who disagrees with their nonsense.

Then once they find a thread where they have taken up ALL the posts on the first page with pro GEJ propaganda, they scream for it to be on the FP. FINALLY, all the NL Igbos come to "like" the posts.

ndu_chucks: Just curious: Is there any reason why the thread can't be returned to trhe Politics section and its hyperlink removed from the FP?
That would be a great idea.

OAM4J: Ok to help your curiousity:

182 posts (6 pages) and 14,611 Views.
Thanks!

Is there any way I can read the thread? Or at least know what the most popular responses were?

Thank for telling me the page views and number of posts, even though you didn't have to.

Sincere 9gerian: 108 likes? If you need 108 likes, then you must have a brain transplant. Your current brain can only produce posts capable of attracting maximum of 2 likes.
I honestly don't care about the likes, I just want to know what the discussion was about.

alj harem: This is very wrong, why is nairaland so pro GEJ like this ? At least be neutral angry. I am starting to dislike this useless site and I am sure a lot of people will agree with me. Seun please return the topic were it belongs. I am sure if it was GEJ transformation agenda it will hit the front page.
As someone who has lived through war(s) and would not want to see them ever again, I wrote that thread to describe how reckless and daft Yinka's comments were. I wrote it to detail what the consequences of talking of coups are in Nigeria. Many of us have seen this before. It is not in anyway a pro war piece.

I am curious as to why it was removed.

Many of you seem perfectly ok with GEJ's advisors talking of coups on the FP. I am taking about Yinka's thread.

Also, it seems like it was popular because I have over 108 likes. Yet I can't see the posts that got the likes.

How many views did it have? How many pages?
What were the gist of the most popular responses?

Just curious.

Sincere 9gerian: I still wonder how that useless thread made it to the front page. APC goats are getting more desperate by the day.
You seem quite happy with Afenifere's thread being on the FP.

Why is that?
PoliticsRe: Seun What Went Wrong? by Kairoseki77: 10:38pm On Dec 31, 2013
Seun: The topic has been removed. We are sorry for this mistake. I was in a hurry to find something to put there due to circumstances.
Hey Seun!

I am the author of that thread. What happened exactly? I didn't even know it went FP.

Can you maybe tell me how many views and likes it got? Judging by the fact that I have 108 likes, it seems like it was fairly popular. Only problem is that I never got a chance to SEE the thread once.

Please bro, I just want to know what went on, I am not against taking it down.

Hey bro. I am the author of that thread.

Can someone explain to me what happened? I haven't been logged in since I wrote it this morning. Tenks!

I didn't know it got to FP at all, and now its blocked?

Also, as a mod could you tell me where the 108 likes i got today went? I can't see any of the comments that got the likes.
PoliticsCan Someone Tell Me What Happened With My Thread About GEJ Declaring War? by Kairoseki77(op): 10:30pm On Dec 31, 2013
This morning I wrote a thread titled, "GEJ has just declared war on Nigeria"

I come back to NL and have over 108 likes and see that the thread is on FP!

But, when I click on the thread, everything is blank.

Can someone who was here tell me what happened??

THX!

maasoap: When Yoruba gave their support to Jonathan in 2011, what did they gain in return? What are you even saying? PDP as party flourish in South South, South East and North just like APC in the South West and North. Are Northerners not your partners?
People like him are the first to forget that all those Northern elites are members of PDP.

PDP has always been a party run by Northerners.

APC/ACN has invited everyone to join them. Northerners have joined, SS have joined, Middle Belt have joined, and even some SE have joined.

APC tried to make the SE a major part of the party, but SE voters rejected the party and they attack any Igbo who chooses to participate in the new national party. That is their own choice.

No one can force SE'ers to see the benefits of two party democracy. Likewise, no one can be expected to sit around waiting for them.

tosan200: It's just pathetic, we are not making any effort to move forward yet some still pray for war. I guess they are just naive . In war times nobody is safe , women will raped ,inflation will be at the highest and after fighting the meaningless war ,Nigeria as a country will have nothing but sad stories. I pray we never experience any war in this country.
Idio.ts pray for war and when the war starts they will be the first to flee the country.

The people who die in a war have it easy. It is the people who are left behind that have to deal with the consequences.

I'll never run from Nigeria if there is a war. I'll fight to protect my community and my people. But that is not a position any sane person DESIRES to be in.

tosan200: Any war right now will set Nigeria backward and even if Nigeria disintegrate the regions will suffer for it. The little democracy we've been able to gather and the hard work of sustaining this democracy of the past 14 years will go down the drain.
Exactly. In 2050, some people will be driving flying cars while we will be recovering from self inflicted wars.

In 2050, man will be living on the moon, while we will be begging for simple electricity.
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo's Letter Is An Attempt To Instigate A Coup - Afenifere by Kairoseki77:
Ogbeni Lawal: Coward.
A brave man fights for something worth dying for.

Is disintegrating Nigeria a cause worth dying for? No!

Disintegrating Nigeria isn't even worth talking about. To begin with, there is no benefit to a disintegrated Nigeria.

Anyway, there isn't anyone who has lived through a real war that thinks it's fun and games. War is human beings murdering each other, and committing atrocities in the name of survival, hate, fear, and greed. There is nothing pleasurable or honorable about it.

A kid like you should go to a war museum. Maybe the Holocaust museum, or the Rwandan genocide museum, or something. Maybe watch some Youtube videos of mass graves and of people dying in split seconds. Go look at videos of towns being burned down and women being molested.

Anyone who resorts to war when an issue can be resolved another way is not only a coward, they are evil.

Young enough to have witnessed Murtala Mohammed regime. And young enough to have sat yards away from Gen. Buhari as HOS making a speech in a university campus. And young enough to have seen the fraud that IBB was during his regime that I decided to travel abroad and study.

Young enough to have met a Naija-born US soldier serving in Europe who was later deployed to Yugoslavia and died there.
So even though you have seen the horrors of war, you want to repeat them again?

If we do not learn from the lessons of the past, we will be doomed to repeat them. I am afraid that if Nigeria tries to disintegrate, the only thing our Grandchildren will have is an economically impoverished wasteland, overpopulated regions (our population is going to be 400 million in 2050), and rampant disease.

While born-to-rule people are in power, they have no regard for others hence they see no polarisation in their self-obsession. When a minority person is in power they cause crisis via boko haram and propaganda to cause polarisation.

Why can't these people just go their separate ways? We have no country, just a collection of tribes exploited by a few selfish politicians.

Any action, be it a coup or whatever that will cause a quick breakup is welcome. After the initial bloodshed, at least our grandkids will have countries that truly belong to them.

Croatia was at war 20 years ago during Balkan war, it's now part of EU.
You must be very young.
