Hello, pls is it possible to reschedule the KPMG test? Or would they feel the applicant is not serious about working with them? I sent them a mail for rescheduling enquiries and they sent an automatic reply saying i should await the next date when decided. What happens now? But wait...can I still write the test on the previous date if I decide not to reschedule again before the new date is announced?

You can reschedule kpmg test as many time as you want if you are below 26 years of age. You can still write the test on the date if you want. There is nothing like unseriousness with rescheduling kpmg test. I actually rescheduled mine before I wrote the test the second time they sent the invite.

It will take one week before you see the result of the test. It may take another week or more before you are scheduled for interview..

It is simple. Tell her you have bad breath and ask her to advise you on what to do. She will say one thing or the other. Then tell her that someone told you a solution to bad breath which is brushing of teeth at least twice a day. A day or two days after, tell her that your breath has changed from bad to fairly good. Now, tell her at that moment that she should brush twice a day because her breath is not good. It will be easier on her part because she will see bad breath as common problem.

Note: you must do this in order to avoid awkward situation.

Let me start by saying "whatever that is worth doing is worth doing well". How can you explain away a person's lazy behaviour and non-challant attitude with the factors above? I always say it that there are many first class and second class upper graduates to choose from, who know their onions. Why do you expect companies to waste time with large number of applications all in the name of searching for some third class graduates who can perform?
If I owned a firm, I would reduce the number of application by class of degree requirement (1st class and 2.1). There are many competent 1st and 2.1 graduates.
Last bullet: "make hay while the sun shines". Work hard to achieve the best result in your endeavours be it academics, work or hobby.

Yes, they said it's in batches but I am tired of the delay. They should let us get it over with... I think they will call us next week or call us for interview along with those that are about to write their effective communication test.

Eh e! I just searched Google and found little or nothing on that. Don't worry, the questions are simple. Ambiguity question is less than 10% of the whole question. cool

If you have a good command of English, you will pass. Just learn how to write memo and essay. Try to read on cashless Lagos also.

Ambiguity test is about identifying what is causing confusion in a sentence, comment or passage. It is something like this;
"The man welcomes the new woman, standing there not knowing what next to do, the man hugged the new woman".
You will be asked to underline the word or words causing ambiguity in the quoted sentence.

In the quoted sentence above, who doesn't know what to do? Is it the man or the new woman? So standing there not knowing what next to do should be underlined since it is causing confusion (ambiguity).

Search Google about ambiguity test and practice the questions you find online, then you are good to go. cool

The effective communication and business writing test is simple. Just learn how to write memo and essay. There will also be ambiguity test, sentence correction etc. Questions on meaning of some words like pretext etc will be asked. Learn how to write the correct spelling of social media words like d, dat, dose, nd etc.

They want to test your understanding of English so if you are good with it, you have no problem cool

You will be allowed to write effective communications and business writing test. They won't check your credentials. You will only have to identify yourself by presenting int'l passport or voter's card or national id card etc. Then your name will be ticked on their attendance slip.

Note: you may be asked to present your credentials at other stage of the recruitment process but not this one. I also don't know if they accept waec in place of neco but you can ask after the test or call their hr (0127023008).

My advice: study your gmath. Likely questions will come out from ratios, percentage, percentage increase and decrease, etc. Questions will also come out from current affairs like who was the cbn governor from 1993-1999, most populous cities in the world, geo-political zones in Nigeria etc. Lastly, antonyms and synonyms questions will also be asked.

Note: They may ask you questions different from what I wrote up there because the question paper have different types. Just be prepared.

I will advise you to develop yourself or seek the service of a linguist or a friend to improve your understanding of English. I've only seen this in Africa magic. I don't know it really happens in real life. I don't know if you have been told this by fellow nairalanders because of the length of this thread. Divorce her immediately and go for HIV test. You said it yourself that she was into adultery and she had sex (unprotected, I think). She may have got STDs.

Another minute in that marriage means that you don't care about your life. She will kill you, it is just a matter of time. RUN, I say RUN for your life.

Lastly, I really sympathise with you and also annoy... You stayed till you lost your job, dignity, sanity, esteem etc. Now you want to wait till you lose your life. once again, RUN.

You should learn to keep quiet, ask questions and think before you type rubbish on a public forum. This particular recruitment exercise is for the tax function/department and the successful applicants are expected to resume in February 2016. The one you were referring to was mostlikely for the audit function. I am sure that the guys in "pending mode" according to you will be contacted in the near future. I am aware that there are a large number of Associate 1 that were not promoted at the end of the financial year, so this might have affected the recruitment exercise.
Deloitte employs close about 100 graduates per year...u think say na bread?
