I am deeply concerned to ask this question on a forum like this to read the reactions and feelings of Nigerians concerning basic infrastructure needs like water in a state.

How many states can boast of portable water running through their houses(I’m not talking about boreholes)...I mean tap water provided by the state govt.

Growing up in the North(Kaduna state to be precise,in d 90s) I still recall how water runs through pipes and then flows to our kitchen tap.
This is 2022,how many states can boast of pipe borne water to her people? It’s no longer news that individuals are now providing basic amenities for themselves while those whom they voted into power no longer do their job. For goodness sake why should individuals be sinking boreholes all in the name of having water run through their homes? Where is the govt?

If something as simple as tap water can’t be running in homes of millions of Nigeria..can we then say governance in Nigeria is indeed a rocket science? I think the East has a billion and one sunken boreholes than any region. I maybe wrong

Kaduna state waterboard remains if not the best, one of the best in the country. I never knew how common boreholes can be until I moved down to Lagos. The state water system is so functional even to most suburban locations. Most houses just dig Wells for back up, and politicians sink the manual boreholes on streets as constitutional projects that is even barely used, except by aboki okada riders.

　　Who is the best man? Being the best man literally means, out of all the male friends of the groom, you are the best of the men, so, it’s an honour. The groom must have seen something special in you for you to best him on one of the most important days of his life. Remember, “with great title, comes great responsibility”
　　
　　It is a fact that, the role of the best man differs due to diversity in traditions, cultures, religions, etc, but, here, I will be focused on being a best man in Nigeria(yoruba setting with a little sprinkle of Christianity religion), because, that is what I am conversant with.

As an event and wedding photographer in Nigeria, some of the qualities I have noticed in best men are:
1.They are usually good looking and fashionable. Some are even more good looking than the groom. I have never met a ugly best man.
2. They are extroverts. They like parties and stuffs. I have never met a shy best man.
3. They know the story of the love journey of the couple and always tease the groom at every opportunity.. One was giving the best man’s speech and he was talking about how he ‘gingered’ the groom and gave him sure format to go and toast the bride. It was so funny.
4. They can dance. They usually lead the way when the new couple come into the reception as a couple.

Do not be afraid if you come short of any of these qualities. I'm an introvert myself. You will do just fine.

First of all, I must commend you for the originality of this post, not the usual copy and paste we are used to seeing on every search.

I have been honored to be the best man in the wedding ceremony of my best friend, it's still some 3 to 4 months far. Been worried and racking my head as to how I can divide myself to be at NYSC camp and at the same time keep my remote job with the tight schedule & restrictions in camp. But not anymore.

I decided to register anyway, did manual and online registration now waiting to be posted. So this Monday I called my boss and asked for a meeting where I explained my dilemma, and lo and behold. She was so understanding. I got three weeks off ��

Omo its not easy. How many Naija employers would do this?

I'm pumped up rn. Can't wait to share my own camp chronicles on these streets

Lol, I once borrowed #800 from MTN and someone mistakenly sent 1k to my MTN number... I knew it'd would have been a mistake. The person called me and I didn't pick it,o I called him back and use the remaining 200 to explain to him. after much explanation, the response was"chai Sapa" and We both burst into laughter...

Like I said, mine happened on Friday, the number I wanted recharging never got credited, the person who I called to recharge the number got debited multiple times, but was refunded 3k less, meaning one transaction went through. Wether it was the number I sent or a wrong number (possibly yours), I can't say. Nevertheless, I have paid him the 3k, and I want to commend you for taking this stress just to identify and payback the person, indeed there are still sincere Nigerians.
If it happens to be my transaction, please keep it. You're a good man.

I have this airtel line I only use for browsing. Its not my personal line, just strictly for browsing. Though sometimes I make calls with it whenever there's a bonus airtime in it. So yesterday I saw a credit alert of N3000 worth of airtime and I think It was a mistake by someone. I called customer care but they refused to reveal the identity of the person. I seriously want to make a refund but I don't know to do so.

I would have claimed this, but my own error happened on Friday and not yesterday.

This brings back childhood memories. Life was simple and fun. Nigeria was safe.
I used New Oxford English Course (NOEC) though so I didn't get to read this in school.
This should be Macmillan Primary English Course 3/4. So I guess primary 3/4 for those who used it. I eventually read it anyway. I was addicted to books so I read everything that crossed my path: Novels, textbooks, Newspapers, magazines, Bible etc.

Same here, my school used Oxford English Course, I never got to read these popular Macmillan stories. Tho I hear my elder siblings talk about them and it's all fun.

Also what activities would one be expected to take part in from 6pm? I believe the usual parade drills starts 4 am? My shift usually ends before midnight. Only work till 3am about twice a week (overtime)

How can I get in? I just need to know my chances, I've not been posted yet

How my roomie did during my service year, he arrived camp on resumption day, completed registrations, met my platoon coordinator and liassed with him. Went back to wherever he kept the laptop, brought it into the camp and kept it with the platoon coordinator. Every night after the compulsory social nights, he's always on his bed mixing songs, he's a DJ.

Laptop is prohibited.
Getting into camp with your laptop isn't much a problem, the problem is the time of your shift, 6pm to 3am is a time you can't use your laptop in NYSC camp. If your shift was to be from 10pm upward, better. You just use mosquito net and dress down bunk at the edge of your room in the camp, and you're good to go.

As for how you can get into camp with your gadget, it's not something I can post here, but still it depends on how well your platoon coordinator understands with you.
