That's good, I think Nairaland is not the best place for getting proper information concerning the Nigerian Military, you can join numerous Military groups especially in Facebook, it is always a brave and right decision to want to join the army of your country also note that the Military is a little skewed currently if you are especially from the East, don't expect much but still as far as Nigeria exist there shall be Easterners in the Nigerian Military and those Easterners who joins serve on double front.

I don't know you so I would not say any further but do check out some Facebook groups, also check out within your community you would find one or two people who have been in the service they could be helpful. Be strong patriot and be warned that Nigerian military can be somewhat depressing though i don't know your reason for joining but never be party to a coup or revolution , evolution is the bane of civilised societies.

Guy u no know wetin u de yarn abeg, a blinking Lt order a Warrant officer to swim in mud! May be it can happen to a Private or L/CPL but never a Warrant officer, to attain the rank of WO u must have put in not less than 20 years in service, na I'm one blinking Lt, that just passed out from NDA or Colito wey just hang Lt go kon the throw smoke for a WO! At worst he can order him to report at the Mess, remove belt and shoes, then just de high inside de mess. Some Captains de even fear to talk to some Warrant Officers, especially if he's an appointment holder like Unit RSM or even chief clerk. In most instances, the WO even trained the Lt while at the academy as a blinking cadet, so that fear still de. A Warrant officer is like a general among the Non commissioned officers and wields a reasonable amount of respect and influence, so as an officer before u fit get liver talk down on him u need check urself well.
