sexkillz: Thank you Mr pipe.

Now in that translation that substituted Gehenna for hell, can someone be kind enough to get the meaning of Gehenna?

Sexkillz, stop this. The bible mentions hell shytloads of time, you have not read your bible.
Dating And Meet-up Zone › Re: Discussion Continues. by kandiikane(m): 12:00am On Aug 28, 2012
sexkillz: Other translations translate that verse as gehenna, Sheol, hades. Which means grave. Research further and you will get the context. Lol

this has nothing to do with being technical. Open your mind.

No, you need to open your mind because you are living in a box. Discarding things that youu don't see fit as someone that 'practices' christianity.

I am a very open minded person hence my argument.

Even hades(the underworld) has it's own lake of fire.

Shollypopz: @ Kandiikane: I'll help you quote d three verses, lol

Matt 25:41, matt 25:46, 2 thess 1:8-9, Matt 10:28, Rev 14.11
Lol, thank you, my dear.

sexkillz: when i resurrect, it is back to this earth. . . Where i was created. When God created humans, he did not create them in heaven. If he wanted them in heaven, he would not have bothered about creating the earth, or don't you think so?

Are you sure, Ýou are a christian? cheesy

Doesn't sound like it.

Yes, the bible talks of zion but it also talks of heaven and hell.

Matthew 5:22
New International Version (NIV)
22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[a][b] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, ‘Raca,’[c] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
Lmaooo!

sexkillz: I am on a mobile phone, so pls get me the translations of Matt 5:22 from other versions apart from king James. . .

LOL! Stop being technical. Are they not all the same bible? I am on my phone too, go get a bible.

Are you going to say the king james version is wrong.

See, the confusion I was talking about. Lmao!
Dating And Meet-up Zone › Re: Discussion Continues. by kandiikane(m): 11:43pm On Aug 27, 2012
Shollypopz: Lemme refresh my memory. The argument is; "Are atheist confused or not OR more confused than religious people"
The religious people I would be referring to are Christians...if u don't mind
Lol, the argument has moved from that. Sexkillz has proved my point about the confusion and close_mindness of religion.

The argument is whether hell aka hellfire exists in the bible. cheesy
Dating And Meet-up Zone › Re: Discussion Continues. by kandiikane(m): 11:39pm On Aug 27, 2012
sexkillz: The bible never mentioned hellfire.

I'd like you to show me 3 verses of the bible where hellfire is mentioned.

You are confused my friend. There is no point meeting you anywhere when it's obvious you are more confused than you actually think.

I had to actually go and take out my mothers bible to look for hell for you since you just want to argue for the sake of it and be technical by making a fuss about hell aka hellfire.

I'm quoting from king james version:
Mattew 5:22

And I quote "but I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Ra-ca shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say thou fool, shall be in danger of hellfire."

I don't need to quote 3 verses, all I need is one to prove you are confused.

sexkillz: When you are ready, let me know. Get the thread.

Btw, go look at the "dictionary" definition of hell and hellfire, then come prepared. . . Lol

Sexkillz, you are sounding more confused than ever and I see you are rambling on. I am not going to open a thread and argue something when you cannot give a good enough rebuttal. It will be pointless

Does the bible not mention fire? Yes or no?

Like I said, stop manipulating the bible to what you see fit.

i am not the kind of Christian you are used to, so pls get that thread ready.

LOL! Wait, so you are telling me the bible makes no mention of hell? Or are you just trying to be technical again by separating hell from hellfire and try to fit the bible around you?

Seriously?

I have met many Christians like you, they sit and call those that don't believe in their religion all sorts of names when in actual fact, they are the most confused of the lot.

sexkillz: I have questioned my faith severally and made researches. And yes, it is different from the ancient whatever they practised.

The people that questioned that book, do they have answers? Or do you just question something for the sake of questioning, without setting matters aright??

And for the records, i do not believe in Hellfire. . . It does not exist.

Thread pls.

Ha! You 'practice' a religion which specifically states there is hellfire but you don't believe in hellfire? Lol! You are more confused than previously thought.

How do you know these ancient religions were different? How is believing in deities and having faith in them, believing that they created MAN and all beings different? Believing that they can perform miracles? How is it different to all the things today's religions preaches?
Romance › Re: Can U...,.? by kandiikane(m): 9:52pm On Aug 27, 2012
sexkillz: No it doesn't.

Practices of religion are not confused. Followers of religion are confused and are easily swayed by what they hear. And since their faith is already on a shaky foundation, a confused atheist makes sense to them. Heck. . . "Everyone" makes sense to them, and you see them making excuses for what is clearly "written".

Come off this, sexkillz. Written? You follow a book that was written by men and you put your whole faith in it. You are not allowed to question anything but just accept everything it says and you sit there calling people who question that book "confused"?

How is what you 'practice' different to the old religions of the ancient world?

How is this different to the 'faith' in ancient religions that is now called a myth?

Imagine, because certain people don't believe the written notes of burning in a pit of fire for eternity or a place where you live in harmony or beings with wings you call them confused? huh

Not only is this in reality confusion but also close-mindedness.
