I'm from West London; I speak a similar way, but not as thick as his.

There is no such thing as speaking black though? I live around blacks, I only moved around white people when I started uni last year. The same way I speak to blacks that's the same way I speak to whites.

Black people from South London have the thickest English accent in London..

It depends on where you live; but what they all have in common is the use of black slangs.

The so-called 'London Boys' speak with the right diction, but we just spiced it up with some Afro-Caribbean slangs; to make it more black. We gave it our own flavour, but still kept it in its original form.

I speak normal when I speak to white people, and we sound almost the same, with the same diction, but different tone.

I was ferried to london(I couldn't speak english), at first I couldn't understand the language. In my mind, they spoke so fast but I caught on and learnt to speak better, I could now understand without having to ask twice. The issue here is, you said you spice it up to make it more black, how come many blacks who come over understand normal english but find it hard to decipher? Should it not be that, we find yours easier to understand? It is not black but ghetto.
