Curse lord lugard.

He is an idiot
Luggard is not our problem, your criminal-politicians and YOU (the voter who continues to vote them into public offices) are the main problem.

Well, a lot of the development overseas is because of two things

1.Most government income in developed countries is dependent on the roads and electricity and water supply working well enough. If it doesn't, government income falls, and problems start.

Nigeria's income has always been dependent on what raw material we sell....and most of the time you don't need power , light and water supply to work well all over the country before you extract the mineral.

2.We are not a rich country. We rely on income from things whose prices we don't control. Developed countries rely mainly on exporting manufactured goods and services whose prices they can set/control
Are you trying to excuse our foolishness grin coz I don't gerrit breh.

Why isn't your own progressing like others?
Because our crop of criminal-politicians lack the political will.

Just take a look round your constituency, what do you see? What prevents these criminals-politicians from doing the right thing coz they travel overseas and they can see what really development is.

The black is the architect of his own problems - very simple! cool

We are not the only country joined together. Others are progressing and moving on well. We are here still weeping
God bless you yanfun-yanfun for this comment. Nigerians are not ready for progress and development yet - when they're ready, it would be so strong and fast. cool

Don't know ur own definition of blessing.
But if this we r facing is blessing to u, may it multiply to only u
[/s]

Trash.

I clearly understand that you struggle with comprehension coz you fail to realise that the black man is the architect of his own problems.

Since independence, you ppl have always embraced the blame culture and wouldn't face reality but choose to be in denial.

Why do you refuse to see the strength in our numbers (population), diversity & potential as a nation.

You must be a slow coach!

Please bless the day Nigeria was amalgamated coz it's indeed a blessing but most of you can't see even though you have eyes.

While infrastructure is very important to state revenue generation and improving the lots of people, the governments of Akwa Ibom and Ebonyi States must take steps to improve the living conditions of their peoples.

People from those two states do lots of pitiful and degrading jobs, so their governments must take expedient measures to address it
@bolded,

Can you give examples please?

Ijawwomaninoyo:
All these trafficking is due to greed! A 13 year old went to hustle when her mates are in the classroom. What about hawking after school? I know some of these people, they only cook up stories to save face. Some went with their parents' consent! I saw this somewhere where mothers were waiting for their teenage daughters to come home from brothels and boast of who brought most money.
The government should be arresting people who give children out as housemaids. Children can hawk after school.

Watched a documentary on NTA where 12 year old children were trafficked and engine spoilt on the river, they said they were told they were going to work somewhere a year and become millionaires so they left home without anybody's consent.
@bolded,

The two scenarios you cited [including your crazy suggestion] are referred to as CHILD ABUSE!

ForeThinker:
There are two types of people you will meet in your life. One will run a finger down the index of who you are and jump straight to the parts of you that peak their interest. The other will take his or her time reading through every one of your chapters and maybe unfold corners of you that inspired them most. You will meet these two people; it is a given. It is the third that you’ll never see coming. That one person who not only finishes your sentences, but keeps the book.

Nonsense, did he have to come out in the night for the cameras?

Had it been that we have strong institutions, this crass method of 'Stay Home Stay Safe' wouldn't be a common occurrence. Coming out in the rain, at night, to stop people from stepping out - how many people will the blockhead stop?

Mtcheeew undecided, Bunch of clueless politicians.
