After all the wahala, I placed both my brother and cousin on suspension and hired STRANGERS to chop my money instead.✅ Got rid of the old tenants and new tenants have moved in. PROBLEM? People passing by, especially school children started staining the walls with their fingers. When “Oga APC” is having his parties, the whole village will queue outside to beg for free food and drinks. The kerbs outside the fence were used as sitting areas. The newly-planted walls had all kinds stains all over. Very annoying.  2 Likes |

We bought paint from an unknown vendor. My brother and the 2nd painter ganged up and over charged me with an unknown vendor in town. My brother swore the paints were from Benin. So I decided to send my cousin to Benin and asked for the address. My brother and the paint could not provide the address. That was how I caught my brother stealing.✅ So I sent my cousin to my own vendor in Benin WITHOUT my brother the price difference was HUGE.😱 Let me just say I was duped over N500K! 3 Likes |

Time for painting. Painter #1. The first painter said he produced paint and i gave him N400K to make 20 buckets of paint. I was charged N37K FOR EACH 10L bucket(NOT 20L). The painting job was disastrous! Rain fell and washed away the fake mixture. I was soooooo mad. I fired the painter instantly. Painter#2 My brother did not allow ny cousin to go with him. My brother handled the painting project. The painter knew I would buy all materials and decided to inflate his estimate. |

My brother was a born out of wedlock AND my cousin was also born out of wedlock’. This is how it finally went down. My cousin as the “senior” handled all the projects initially, since my “new brother” did not know our village at all. He had NEVER been there. As soon as I found my cousin cheating and making so many mistakes, I let my brother handle most of the projects. Then my brother got to know his way around town and STARTED CHEATING TOO!✅ 5 Likes |

After lots of arguments and delays, we finished all exterior projects. These contractors were in the habit of engaging themselves in multiple projects and would disappear from time to time leaving your project hanging. I could not stand it. So, I started delaying payments too. They streeeeeeessed me out ehn? Shegey! I could not meet ANY DEADLINES! Payment made for labor before work started. Can’t attach pictures no more. Then I met the most DODGY character of all. Another “Christian Brother”. The greatest mistake I made was paying him for the workmanship up front. But I told him to leave his scaffolding equipment in the compound. He agreed.This man’s estimate was interesting. He was responsible for the following: 1. Screeding of the buildings and fence. 2. Repairs for roofing. 3. POP ceiling. 4..Fence Copping 5. Construction of fence base to protect the fence from erosion. SEE CRIMINAL ESTIMATE? Half of the shyyyyyyte he included I had no clue of. So I told him to purchase the items and PROVIDE THE RECEIPTS. Na for his wahala BUSSSSSS!!! : Genipol ko, Genikpai ni! 3 Likes

When I almost reached my breaking point? I HAD FIVE PROJECTS GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME TIME. I could not sleep keeping up with all of them. I wanted to to finish all outside work before concentrating in the interior. Painting was going to be the last thing. 1. Roof maintenance 2. Windows replacement 3. German flooring of the garage floor 4. Building the gutter 5..Screeding of the entire exterior of the buildings and fence. I thought I was going to die. My blood pressure went up from screaming at either the workers or my brother or cousin. 2 Likes

At this time I gifted all workers on ground N100K each to thank them. The villagers passing were reported to be praying for me to encourage me. People passing by and looking at the transformations were amazed. The prayers kept coming. People were talking without knowing my family members were among them. I was up every morning keeping track of my bags of cement. We counted bags of cement EVERY MORNING AND EVERY NIGHT. I paid my brother and cousin for data and airtime. I wanted them to be able to give me video reports when ever I asked. I called randomly. Written reports were mandatory EVERY NIGHT BY 8PM Nigerian time. Nobody could go NOWHERE! 4 Likes

Fast forward: Thank God for solar street lights. The workers were able to work at night.👍🏽 I bought ALL MATERIALS myself. Even diesel,fuel and “Condem Oil” to grease the mold pans. I ASKED FOR EVERY RECEIPT AS PROOF OF PAYMENT.✅ Even if they are buying fuel, they must make a video and show me.✅ Landscaping completed ✅ DPM lining completed Stone dust filling completed ✅ Interlocking stones installation completed ✅ Kerbs installation completed ✅ Final layering of stone dust on interlocking stones completed ✅ 4 Likes

I will fly FIRST CLASS EVERYWHERE I GO before I own a home in Nigeria or own more than 2 properties.🍷 My retirement goal? Live in HOTELS, or on a CRUISE SHIP AND TRAVEL THE WORLD ALL YEAR ROUND.👍🏽 Cremation only. No funky burial rights to feed hungry strangers pretending to mourn who they do not know. After compacting the laterite-we ran into HEAVY RAINY season. Erosion almost washed the sand away. We had to move fast start placing the interlocking stones. We decided to build on site. PROBLEM? No sharp sand, only river sand. The people supplying the sharp sand could not drive to the river banks to get sand. Their vehicles got stuck in the muddy paths and the roads were too slippery to work with. We encountered some delays. Some workers had to leave because of the delay and complained they needed money. So we went from 6 men to 3 men. We finally settled for stone dust instead of sharp sand. We got some new workers and was able to continue with the project. 3 Likes

Kaczynski:I don’t have these kinds of issues with my siblings. You forget this house was built over 30 years ago. I was not going to replace the roof o. We go manage am like that.👍🏽 This house is so well-ventilated with MANY WINDOWSand roof was replaced about 10 years ago? I patched some leaking areas. The ceiling was reinforced with POP instead of ceiling boards. My brother can change the roof if he so pleases. I have done enough. My other siblings are not interested in the village house. Remember I settled them with N20m? They don’t even ask me about the house anymore.🌹They have other properties to concentrate on. This house is a gift to my step brother. I will not dream of owning ANY property except the one I live in. I will enjoy ALL my money while I am alive. Not interested in ANY PROPERTY IN NIGERIA especially. I don’t want any complications after my departure from this world. I have learned from my parents’ mistakes.👍🏽 DO NOT LEAVE PROPERTY FOR ANY CHILD OR RELATIVES. Wotowotoman:He tried gaaaan! He is not married and unemployed. He said he can only get married if DNA tests confirmed we have the same father. My father refused to accept paternity before he died . So we did a DNA and confirmed he was 99.9999999% BONAFIDE! ✅✅✅ This was the main reason I wanted to renovate the village property. The only legacy left to give to him as compensation for being neglected and to atone for my father’s recklessness.🍷🍷🍷He is the SOLE BENEFICIARY of that house(I did not tell my other siblings sha).  Thank God. My cousin on the other hand is married, though and had to go home from time to time. But I was paying them N400K - N500K per month. Na beans? Doctors in Nigeria did not earn that much. PROBLEM? He was innocent initially, but then became the BIGGEST THIEF in the end after learning from THE BEST!🙄🙄🙄 But he saved me from that rogue-ish interlocking contractor. Fast forward- Landscaping completed. Instead of 11 trips the contractor estimated, I HAD TO BUY 29 trips. Na so contractor begin order sand o. Only because he was not going to be the “supplier”! Just to make me spend money.Whatever he asked for more sand, I supplied it. He stated he “underestimated” the unevenness of the landscape. We only needed filling sand at this point. We opted for laterite sand. Na so we begin buy sand oooooo. I thought we will never finish.🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ 1 Like

First mistake? The contractor’s measurements were wrong. I had 3 other estimates with measurements to compare. See the price this criminal charged me for DPM? 850KG!!!! I ONLY NEEDED 250KG OF DPM NOT 850KG! Make una com see “CHILD OF GOD” oooooo. Dude was gonna make a cool N500K on this DPM supplies. He inflated the price for EVERYTHING. Bottom line I sent my brother to buy all the supplies and we transported them to Edo State. Meaning? The thieving contractor wanted to use me to acquire products he can use to finance other projects! I now understood another method how contractors rip people off! OMO? If you are too LAZZZZZZY to personally supervise ANY project in Nigeria or anywhere in this world, YOU ARE SCREWED. 2 Likes

Estimate for initial landscaping? Notice the contractor made the cost of labor = the cost of materials BECAUSE HE WAS NOT GOING TO BUY THE MATERIALS HIMSELF. This particular contractor was the least expensive. Come to find out he brought down his price so he could out-bid all other contractors. He knew after he arrived and started work, WE WOULD BE STUCK WITH EACH OTHER. . . So he could hold me to ransom. Good news? I could play the game too. Payments: 1. N300K - Mobilization fee 2. N500K - For transportation of molding pans. Instead of loading the transportation van with all thr materials, THE WHOLE CREW AND MY BROTHER DECIDED TO TRAVEL WITH THE MATERIALS TO AVOID PAYING TRANSPORTATION FARES FROM DELTA TO EDO STATE.😱 That meant all the materials did not arrive and I had to pay TWICE to transport the materials left behind. While we waited for the second batch of molding materials, we started landscaping. 1 Like
