1. No need for documents (just your Nigerian passport, confirmation page, appointment page and payment receipt), just fill your form honestly and truthfully, be bold and confident in your interview, pray and hope for the best. 2. Read from Page 1 to see the different possible questions, and use them to prepare. All the best! ThatsimpleLady: Hello, good morning to the gurus in the house, I have been following the thread silently for a while now pls I need your help! I just finished from university and am waiting for nysc, my friend have been inviting me to USA for some time now and even sent me invitation letter which I didn't honor because of school and other engagements but am ready now, pls which papers do I need for him to send and which papers do I have to present at the embassy? He is elderly in age, a USA citizen (white man) and has a good job. He will be sponsoring my visit for 14days! Pls do I stand a chance? I haven't traveled before and am a 25yrs old single mother! I love God. He is showing you all the fruits of your so-called MEN OF GOD. So that on the day of judgement, you won't say, 'I didn't know he was a wolf in sheep's clothing'. Are we not called to be like Jesus, and isn't humility and sacrifice one of the cornerstones of Jesus character? Just because you can afford something, shouldn't mean you should buy it. Our pastors need to learn humility and sacrifice. |

You told them 1 month but stayed 5 months. Why? The answer you give to that question is very important. So start thinking from now and please be honest, and confident. And if you're allowed in, don't do that again, it could affect your renewal. All the best. krissein: Hi guys,
I was in the US from September 2016 to February 2017 spending almost 5 months after my passport was stamped for the standard 6 months even though I said I was staying for about a month.
I plan to travel this year with my wife and son. Any suggestions as to what to expect from POE regarding my long stay last time?
Thanks |

If this is your first time of travelling, I would recommend waiting for your grandma. Just to be on the safe side. But if you will miss the purpose for the trip, you can travel alone and reasonably explain why you had to to go without Grannie. What do you think? Lrmush: Good day house, have a question, got a b1/b2 visa since feb with my grandma, we ought to travle together by 25th of feb buh she couldn't make it dur to her health, can i travle alone? True. Even with pictures of floating bodies on the Mediterranean Sea, some Nigerians are still trying to get to Europe. So those who will hear, will hear, but it's good to put the truth out there. def111: you think say Nigerians dey fear for all this things e write for up ?... |

Geez. This needs to be in the front page. And this is why, this forum is needed. Better to learn from others experience, than to learn from one's own experience. MamaOO: I am sorry bro, but I have to tell you this. This your sister and her family's plan is DOE. This is the reason why a lot of people end up stuck in the system here with nothing to show for iot after years and years of living in the US.
Legal residency/citizenship or even Employment Authorization, they cannot get. Home (Nigeria) they cannot go back to because of shame and the automatic ban once they step out of the US. Some even have deportation orders pending for them. How in the world do you think they will emigrate to the US on a visiting visa and get their "stay" visa? On what basis? Fraudulent marriage to an American?
They both would have to divorce each other before they can even think about getting married to an American for papers. But remember, they came here as a couple. Married. Good luck convincing USCIS that the new marriage is not a sham paper one. Even if one is lucky, who will file for the other one? Abi they will remarry each other? I am confused. You better advise them before they make a mistake they would come to regret.
They might say, no need to have papers, living in America is enough and I will have a better life. But have they thought of the fear of living in a stage of never knowing? They see a cop on the road, their heart will start beating fast hoping that the cop doesn't stop them and ask for their ID. They can never drive (except if they wanna do that without a license, which is a crime). They can't work (except for under the table employers who will treat them like crap). They can't leave the country. Their first child who came here with them can't go to college, he either has to produce an SSN which he doesn't have or apply for a student visa. They cant get health insurance. They're stuck. That's not the kind of life I wish my loved ones |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 2:24pm On Apr 21, 2017 |
This is so sad and it will get hotter under Trump. MamaOO: Exactly. They are blinded by illusions and the lies they hear back home in Nigeria about America being the land of opportunities where everything and anything is possible. Hian!! If I hear. If you go to Houston ehn, you will see plenty of Nigerians, some in their 50s who can't even rent a house, don't have a job and have a pending removal order on their head. Yet they will be running around trying to evade USCIS because they can't afford to go back home as they don't have anything to show for their 15+ years in America.
There's a couple here in my city in CA, they came and left their jobs in Nigeria. Now they came here and started to come and claim one useless asylum saying they're fleeing from Boko Haram or whatever. The kicker is: these guys are Igbo. Which Boko Haram are you fleeing? Now, as God go catch them, I think you can only claim asylum is you fly directly from a country where you claim your life is at stake. But these people flew Emirates and their layover was in Dubai. So technically, they're seeking asylum from the UAE. I don't understand well Sha. But long story short, they can't file for asylum. They can't drive. I don't even know if they work. The only thing they have to show for it is thei Us born child. Maybe they hope that one can file for them in 20 years. Provided she makes enough money to meet the income requirements of filing for two people. It's such a mess!!! Smh. |

Its highly recommended not to make travel plans as per hotel booking and ticket purchase, until you have your US Visa. That said, it is not compulsory to fill that, if you have not booked a hotel or purchased a flight ticket. Just know where you are going, why you are going there and how much it will cost you - ticket and hotel (without booking). Having a reservation - flight ticket or hotel, does not usually make a difference in the interview. But its good to know how much it all costs. U get? pbayagbon: someone should please give clear answers on filling the ds160 form, I haven't made any reservations or even contacted the hotel do I need to use the Hotel name and contact details as my contact person/organisation in the US bearing in mind that they ask for my relationship to the person @lady G, kaptainafrika and Twoods need answers ASAP |

Cumz, I only said what a VO will say at the end of an unsuccessful interview. Based on what the VO feels that the candidate has weak ties to Nigeria. Would you say the VO is cursing the person? An unbiased appraisal of the situation of the person, shows that he has weak ties to Nigeria and its not my place to tell him, how to get strong ties...like you asked - AM I GOD? No, I am not. Anyway, Cheers! This your post was so long, I slept off half-way, I think I have a sleeping aid for the days that I find it hard to sleep. Thanks! cumz: Okay, you guys that are forming God on this thread as if you yourself are the vo, this message is for you...
Someone comes here, ask a question or two, you reply him as if you are talking to a baby, tell him to read up, that he will see his answers, tell him to start from page zero, evaluate himself and all sort of Rubbish,
Some would even go as far as insulting indirectly,
A guy can't remember his username now came here, asked a question, said all his life story and all what KaptainAfrika said was Sorry you don't qualify shi, you just killed this guy, there are more mature ways of telling someone, what's thier to guide a fellow Nigerian, why not just calm your egoistic balls down and just tell him in a more comforting way,
Ladygaga too is a culprit {I don't know your username would have quoted you, in your mind you will tell me to go and read from page zero abi}... I amd my sister and an interview around March, and we were all worried over, we didn't want to go for the Interview and mess up, my sister came here, asked a simple honest question, out of All that answered I think only one reasonable person gave a comforting answer- seyewest, am not sure-... Ladygaga here almost killed my sister's confidence-ofcos we didn't qualify for a visa, my sister is not married, no job, am undergoing Nysc,-.. I saw the response she gave then and I was like Damn, this girl talk to my sister like this, I felt really bad, we had to talk about it gained our confidence back, what matters is confidence after all... In the end, we went for the interview, came out successful,
My point, if you are not God, and no vo- I don't even believe any vo will have time to spend on nairaland, maybe those attendants sha, no offense to Vos that are here- you have no right to tell someone he doesn't qualify - KaptainAfrika- Give him your reasons, talk to him in an educated manner, like someone who was brought up well in a good home, advise him.. Don't just come here and spill trash,
And as per username? You got a problem with it? If am a sex addict or not?
Cc, misspetit |

Your kind is the reason, why Nigeria hasn't reached its full potential. No that's not a curse or an opinion, but a fact! Even an illeterate reasons better than you, you just go to school to get paper but not to learn how to think, this is not an opinion but a fact. And if you are an illeterate with cheap data on a cheap phone, sell it and go to school. Cumz? Are you a sex addict ni ? cumz: That's no how to give opinion, that's more like a curse, or is he/she a wizard or a witch that knows the future, if he is not God |

Try your luck at the POE. Terminalia: Hello house, pls I'm in a fix now and I need some clarification. my hubby and I got a visa for vacation in February, we really wanted to go for vacation then but due to the dollar scarcity, we shifted it. mid March, I was confirmed pregnant. mind u, I wasn't asked if I was pregnant during our interview and neither did I know I was pregnant den. now, I'm 3 months gone. The issue now is my hubby and I planned going for the vacation next month (may) den I can go for childbirth later but I was told today at my office that I can't take my annual and maternity leave together in a year. So now, I don't know what to do. can I go for childbirth later with a letter of intent since I wasn't asked if pregnant then? what are the options available for me now as I'm really confused. gurus in the house, over to u. lady Guinevere, kaptainafrika etc, over to u. |

You never got back to us, how your trip to the UK went as per transit visa. getostar: Hailings...
1. Must the onward flight (or means of transport) from new york to one's final destination be a return ticket?
2. Can one book an onward flight to the final destination a day after landing at the POE? My contact person informed me that 'based on logistics' the only flight available from NYC to my final destination leaves about 3hrs after I land, and of cuz i wouldn't meet up. The only other flight is the following day. Thus, would having an onward ticket up to 24hrs after landing at the POE create problems for me at the POE?
3. Asides Greyhound, are there other reputable bus services one can utilize (considering this option if staying back in NYC for long would raise problems for me at the POE)
Thanks. |
