2. Its illegal to get married to another person in the US, while still married to someone in Nigeria i.e POLYGAMY IS A CRIME. If you must get married to someone in the US, you must initiate divorce in Nigeria in person and then your new proposed spouse will appeal for a new type of visa for you.
3. And I am guessing that they have been married for a long time.
4. She has probably worked for a long time at her place of work.
5. She was able to explain why she was going alone.
6. Strong ties still matter. As much as honesty, clarity and composure.
CallmeTonight: So what home ties does this applicant has that those medical doctors weren't having? I want to be honest with you there's no such thing as home ties. If there's my cousin who just started working and not married wouldn't have gotten a 2 year visa. I strongly believe that it's 70 percent dependent on your purpose of travel and how you carry your self at the interview, how you answer those questions. The VOs are human beings like us and also have sense of humor so how you answer those questions is really important
1. So long as you don't suddenly find out that you are pregnant and want to now use the visa for childbirth, you should be fine.
2. If you miss the graduation ceremony, you should think of what to tell the CBP at the POE. Just to be on the safe side. We can't tell you what to say, as the one you will remember, is the one you come up with.
All the best.
manigold: Pls help my people. I applied and got my visa approved with help from genuine advice I got here; intending to visit and attend a graduation ceremony in May. I just realized I can't travel early May as contained in my form. I would wish to defer travel date until end of May..Is that going to b a concern at the POE. if so pls what can I do
1. Married for just 7 weeks. 2. No child yet, probably wants to use the visa for childbirth. 3. Both medical doctors, professions that are in high demand in the US. 4. Wife's passport still in maiden name.
I would highly advise against reappearing at the US Embassy any time soon. Until you have built a strong tie to Nigeria i.e. child, length of years married, length of years employed at place of work. My opinion.
banks101: Hello LadyG Here is our transcript Vo:goodmorning Me/wife:morning Vo:Why are are going to colorado Me:my wife and I want to take some time out for vacation Vo:What do you do Me:medical doctor VO to wife:and you? Note:wife passport still bears her maiden name Where do you think we got it wrong? We really need this vacation
How will someone fill your form for you, and you won't know what's in the form
Mind you Canada and the US DO SHARE INFORMATION.
Try your luck and fill your form by yourself and be honest, even if you are denied, the next application will still be consistent. Don't lie about your US Visa denial.
Obiorah8: Pls house I need help, u guys are doing great.
We meet online, in few years we get to see face to face in Turkey, we try to get married in turkey but it did not go through, because we don't have much time. The upper year We got married in Nigeria. We have been married for a year and few months. She send me a letter of invitation, and some few documents.
I own a barbing salon newly registered. What is the right documents I need?
I have been to USA embassy last year visa denied. A friend of mine help me with the filling of the application, so I don't know much what he registered for me. I think he said I was single in America application. Should I explain this to Canada embassy.
Pls assist me, I'm not all that good in writing. Thanks
Its up to her to decide, if she will take the risk. We can only give our opinions, what worked for your cousin, might not work for her. Its always best to mention that you would also like to use the visa for childbirth later, so that it is in the system.
MsTiitii: You didn't even read her write up before saying she shouldn't write letter of intent. She stated that her visa has been RENEWED via Dropbox. She must send a letter of intent that's her only option now, notifying the consulate that she wishes to go for delivery, since her visa has already been issued . My cousin renewed her visa last year, just for holiday purposes, she's in America right now to deliver but before leaving Nigeria, she notified the consulate of her plans to give birth and was asked to forward conversations between her and the hospital and receipts which she did. the consulate sent a letter of approval and she travelled, she got to JFK and was asked for that permission, which she showed. Are you now saying that because she got her visa stating that she was going on holiday and one year later, she is pregnant, she should tear the visa or what? She explained all in the letter of intent and the consulate approved it. As long as the B1/B2 was given and child birth falls under the medical category, her writing a letter of intent to the consulate should be no major issue.

1. If there is still time before the conference, she should reapply and convince the next VO about the sincerity of the purpose of her travel. 2. Let your wife stress the relevance of the conference to her career, and know what the job entails.
Beehandz: Wify: Good Morning VO: Morning VO: Why are you going to the US Wify: For bla bla bla conference VO: Where do you work Wify: bla bla Company VO: What is the company into Wify: Supply of bla bla equipment to major oil & gas company on Nigeria VO: How long have you been working with the company Wify: 4 years (infact was recently promoted last year to this position) and its one of d advantages of the position to travel for this conference VO: What are your job description Wify: bla bla bla (VO was tying all through) VO: Are you married? He did and she just gave an answer despite not hearing well VO: sorry you didn't convince me enof.
I feel d last answer spoilt everything. No docs was checked
Meanwhile, there was a security bridge at the embassy this morning as early as 6.30am and all applicants were thrown out. They started attending to applicants around 11am and according to her, the VO were rushing to finish up in time and interview everybody
Well, How soon can she reapply. The conference will enhance her career and improve her knowledge in her new position
1. Wait a minute. Did you hide the fact that you were pregnant during the interview, it doesn't matter if you were asked or not. 2. In the Trump era, you will not just be deported but possibly banned from the US. 3. Don't send any letter of change of intent, you will only be making your case worse. 4. If you don't go for that conference, the CBP will most likely ask you why, I hope your answer is okay for the CBP. 5. Probability of deportation and ban: 90% 6. You should have told the VO you would also wish to have your child, in the US. Whether you were asked or not.
Am actually new here and seriously need some advice concerning my intended trip to the US. I travelled in 2013 for a conference with a 2years b1/b2 business/conference visa. Afterwards,i renewed it in 2015 through drop-box and they gave me another 2years but i did not travel due to the workload in my company at that time. My visa expired in this month of march 2017 and i decided to renew it to enable me attend this year's conference of which i have been issued another 2years visa. The issue now is that i am pregnant and am suppose to give birth after the conference. so i am planning for the conference and delivery when i travel but at the same time am afraid hearing all manner of things that happens at the US point of entry. What are my chances? Please helppp!
1. Me: for a short family vacation and family visit FAMILY VACATION AND FAMILY VISIT - STRIKE 1. YES YOU ARE GOING FOR A FAMILY VACATION/VISIT, BUT WHY BOWIE, MARYLAND; WHAT'S IN THAT LOCATION, THAT MADE YOU CHOOSE TO TRAVEL THERE. BE MORE DETAILED.
2. Vo: how did you get start up fund Me: family support THE VO PROBABLY THINKS, YOU ALSO WOULD NEED FAMILY SUPPORT FOR THE TRIP. BUT ITS GOOD THAT YOU'RE HONEST.
3. Vo: what's your net worth ( he rephrase it severally and asked if I understand Me: 7million monthly I SEE WHY HE REPHRASED THE QUESTION SEVERALLY, HE WAS ASKING HOW MUCH DO YOU MAKE IN A YEAR, THAT WOULD BE YOUR INCOME (SALARY) MULTIPLIED BY 12 MONTHS. WHEN YOU SAID 7 MILLION PER MONTH, THAT WAS PROBABLY INTERPRETED AS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ONE IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.
4. Vo: madam what do you do Wife: am a fashion designer and fashion instructor I'M GUESSING BY NOW THE VO HAD MADE THEIR DECISION.
5. YOU CAN REAPPLY IN THREE MONTHS, AND MAKE CORRECTIONS TO 1 AND 3 ONLY (STICK TO WHAT YOU SAID IN 2 I.E FAMILY SUPPORT FOR STARTING THE BUSINESS FOR CONSISTENCY)
SORRY FOR TYPING IN CAPITAL LETTERS, THESE ARE MY OPINIONS AND ALL THE BEST!

Oh 23 hours? that's okay na, i thought it was 24 hours which is like one day. Ask for a lounge to chill and relax. If you're in business class or above. Or if there's one you can pay for, if there's one.
getostar: i have read through those links previously but there isn't any clarity. one of the clauses was that the flight should depart same day. with a 23hr wait, u can be sure that the onward flight doesn't depart same day. everyone keeps saying u don't need a visa as long as u stay within the airport, while 2 different travel agents claim i need one as long as the wait period exceeds 2hrs. those i know that flew that route had valid UK visas thus cant be sure if i wouldn't need one, sadly mine just expired. don't want to be unnecessarily stranded and don't know if i can go through the rigors of getting a UK visa now. that's why i need a clear-cut answer.
If that's the case; - you have depart and return tickets. - you have travelled to the UK and returned back home, without overstaying. - you have enough funds on you.

Bro I got your request to send me a message, I don't reply via inbox again, as I want others to benefit too. If there are any personal details like your name, you can remove it, please ask of your questions here.
getostar: my pipu, i need confirmation pls. is it true one must have a transit visa if one is passing through the UK to the US, where the layover is over 1hour.
Actually you can visit the UK Government website and find out if you require a transit visa. (You might not need a transit visa, but these agents, don't mind milking you of your money, just to make you apply for a visa that you don't need)
getostar: i called o. ....could barely hear what the lady was saying sha with the plenty american accent but she basically said they can't confirm that.
same for lufthansa...(the travel agent claims i would need one where the layover is over 4hrs - frankfurt)
1. Why do you have to be physically present in the US, when you can go for a virtual tour of the University online, or get the brochure online. 2. What's the relevance of information and group session at...College of Business and Economics of the University, to a marketer of a travel agency? 3. As a marketer of a travel agency, you didn't go deep into why you are irreplaceable to your organization. 4. You were only asked if you were married, adding you have aged parents you take care of, was an attempt getting sympathy from the VO? 5. Your answer to why "Why must you make this trip at this time?" sounds all too common

No document required. Fill the for honestly, that's all you need to do. And also explain why you are not able to pay for the trip yourself, at the interview.
julius99: Hello Guys, Thanks for all the wonderful job you're doing.
My friend is applying for B1B2 visa and His Brother is paying for the Trip.
The Brother lives in Dubai, is there any document that should be provided like statement of account?
No they don't, my first visa interview was for a government A2 visa. I was still called for an interview, even though I was part of a government delegation. Its basically two parts - the submitted form and the oral interview.

If she reapplies she will get the same outcome. Its good that the reason is known - current employment situation, that should be treated.

I applied for canada visit visa January 15 online and I got a mail today for procedural fairness to be replied in 15days. .it was stated that I did not indicate that I was refused USA visa ...which I am 100 percent sure that I did tick it and I stated in the form that I was refused USA and UK but without explanation. PLEASE HOW WILL I GO ABOUT IT.
please, i want to ask if it is very important to have traveling experience before one can apply for b1/b2 visa. I await your quick response. Thanks in anticipation.
1. So long as you entered the US legally, no problem. 2. No document is required apart from her Nigerian passport, confirmation page with passport photo uploaded and an additional passport photo attached, payment receipts. 3. Very important, to fill the forms honestly. You should do a mock interview for your mum, it helps. All the best!
efavour: Please can someone help on the next step to take. I applied for visiting visa for my mum. Have filled the ds160 form, paid and got appointment.
