TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 9:56am On May 18, 2017
1. You must have travelled to at least one European country or South Africa.
2. K1 Visa
3. Get lots of relevant documents and take it to the embassy (and you must have travelled to at least one European country or South Africa).
4. Stay with the one that got into the US using a visitors visa and decided to stay back and become a citizen, he/she is now a citizen.

All the best!

skinnybleed:
Hello guys, I've never travelled to any A, B list African or European country before (if you know what I mean grin). Now I have 3 family members planning to help me get to the US, now my questions are...

1) I hope not to have being to any A, B list country won't affect me?
2) what kind of visa will u advise me to apply for
3) what other thing can I do to increase my chances of getting my visa approved.
4) I have options of either New York, Philadelphia or Maryland, which of these family members would you advise I say with.

Thanks guys in anticipation

Be honest.

JWTheocracy1:
please my people I have a question. if on your DS-160 you fill you're going to California but on your date on interview you tell the vo you will be going to California and will visit new York for so so so and so reason would it be a problem or create a red flaghuh
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 7:16pm On May 17, 2017
Scenario 1:
First interview - going to the US for educational purposes, rejected
3 months later
Second interview - going for vacation

Scenario 2:
First interview - going for vacation, rejected
3 months later
Second interview - going to the US for educational purposes

Scenario 3:
First interview - Applied for an immigration visa, rejected
Months/Years later
Second interview - going for a non-immigration visa

Scenario 4:
First interview - Applied for a tourist visa, rejected
3 months later
Second interview - going for a medical visa for childbirth

Scenario 5:
First interview - Applied for a medical visa, for childbirth, rejected
Months/Years later
Second interview - Applied for a tourist visa

These are some of the common scenarios, I have seen so far. Scenario 3 seems to be the hardest in terms of overcoming immigrant intent. Scenario 5 seems to be more reasonable, the woman has already given birth and would now like to go for a vacation in the US. Scenarios 1,2 and 4 would probably raise red flags every time. It is best to stick to one purpose, unless it legit. changes, in my opinion. Hope it helps.

Hello House and gurus, please what are the likely questions for a single mother with a four year old daughter. Presently working in an Aviation industry and purpose of travel is vacation.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 10:26pm On May 16, 2017
The US keeps records. The US isn't Nigeria where we don't have records. Better to apply Immigrant Visa instead. You most likely won't be given an NIV unless you have strong ties here in Nigeria. And oh, don't lie.

wolemine:
Good day gurus in the house, i applied for b1/b2 visa last year which was approved but was later placed on AP and after days i was called for another interview based on 221g and after the second interview i was still placed on AP, after another 2 weeks i got a mail that the visa was refused under 214b. Recently, i came in contact with one of my classmate in the university who stays in the US(thru visa lottery) and gave me his contact details for me to use in subsequent application and i want to reapply.
1) Will the contact details i am filling now have any effect in my new application since the first form i filled i don't have any body in the US.

How many months/years ago was your last interview at the US Embassy?

1. May I suggest that we not give straight answers only. For example, what do you for a living? I am a banker.; try this instead - What do you for a living? I am a banker, with x years of experience, in dealing with client financial bla bla bla bla bla.

2. Couples that apply together, should let the other spouse, know if they have applied for a US Visa before.
Christianity EtcRe: Are Muslims Going To Heaven? - Daddy Freeze Gives An Answer by KaptainAfrika: 11:12am On May 16, 2017
It is today I know for sure, that Daddy Freeze is misleading a lot of his followers. But that doesn't mean he is wrong on other things, just that on this particular matter, he is dead wrong especially as he claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Anywasy the devil always adds little lies to the big truths.

"I've been working with the current place of work which is 6 months cos I just relocated to lagos because of marriage."

I think after saying you have been working there for six months, you should have followed it up with the reasons why, and also make reference to any previous employment. E.g. I have been working at xyz for 6 months, and that was because I relocated to lagos when I got married to my husband, but previously I worked at xyz for abc years. This is why your application form is very important, what you say is easily confirmed from what you filled.

Dhollargurl:
Please, I need help and I'm actually new here. Went for the interview today and was denied but the VO Didn't ask many questions or asked to see my docs. My husband is sponsoring me and she didn't ask how much he earns, also, I have a job (pharmacist) and earn 120k monthly, she only asked of that and how long I've been working with the current place of work which is 6 months cos I just relocated to lagos because of marriage. If only she had asked for financial capacity she would have known I'm more than capable but she didn't sadly. Please, i would like to know what I did wrong as she didn't even ask to see any documents at all.

If you are asked if you were refused by any country apart from the country you are applying for , it will be in your best interest to say the truth.

amanonymous:
Pls guys good evening. I wanna ask a question, if u were denied a visa to d united state. You knw that they usually stick a white paper @ d back of ur passport . Does dis affect your application to oda countries, wen u submit ur application, would the white paper @ d bck of ur passport pose a threat to denial of that application?

TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 7:02pm On May 12, 2017
Okay. I think you just need to prove that you will come back, I know that sounds weird, you are travelling with your parents, are now going to stay back in the US? - current academic program should do the trick, if not current employment should suffice, there are varying factors. IMHO.

Kodwavygod:
I made a mistake, I'm actually exactly 18 years
And is there any important thing i should know, to prepare for the interview
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 2:45pm On May 12, 2017
If you are 18 and above, your parents may get a visa but you may be refused. If you are under 18, the decision to give your parents a visa, also affects you. I don't think there is such a thing as "dependent visa", I may be wrong. My opinion.

Kodwavygod:
Please who knows about dependent visa, if one is attached with his parents as a dependant, what are the things to know so the chances of getting the visa with one's parents would be high

Bro. I think we have tried for you. There have been many instances of what you are asking about. Check through this forum. But wait, am beginning to suspect something.

JWTheocracy1:
please I need an urgent help!!! Nefetitiram, LadyG, Seyewest and any other guru in the house should please help.

please if I refill a New DS-160 form when I've already booked an appointment and wants to swap the new DS-160 form with the appointment already booked, will it affect my appointment date which i have scheduled already, and how will I go about it?

secondly; in my appointment confirmation script APPLICANT NAME:appears this way( e.g) ciroma Chukwuma adekunle.
APPOINTMENT MADE BY: adekunle ciroma chukwuma.
why is it showing in different forms? or is that how it should be in the appointment script or a mistake that must be corrected?
In my E-passport Adekunle(surname) comes first before my Given names. please what should I do about this. whats the danger if nothing is done about it before my interview.? please I need help asap.

TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 11:10am On May 10, 2017
Okay in that case let the VO know, that you are all JW's. And that everything has been confirmed by your parish/church and it is a intra-denominational visit from one member of the congregation to another. A JW in US inviting a JW in Nigeria for a visit, all expenses paid.

JWTheocracy1:
The reason why I trust them is also the main reason why they trust me enough to the point of sending everything in advance including my ticket fare... why? because we all are Jehovah's witnesses.
thanks for your timely advice but I've called their congregation and confirm all information about them. they are real.

A little knowledge and you are lording it over those who you believe to be inferior to you, to another you are a baby Christian o...back to the matter, we don't know his motives, and motive is what matters.

damosky12:
LOL. Baby Christian alert!

There is no such instruction in the epistles. That was mainly for the Jews. Jesus was communicating to the JEWS.

Stop quoting "let not your left hand see what thy right hand doeth". Grow up! Study the epistles!

See what is addressed to Christians.

1 Timothy 4:12... be thou an EXAMPLE of the believers, in word, in conversation, in CHARITY, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Christian leaders do such to show examples.

See this too.

Now it is superfluous for me to write to you about the ministry for the saints,
for I know your readiness, of which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year. And YOUR ZEAL HAS STIRRED up MOST OF THEM.
But I am sending the brothers so that our boasting about you may not prove empty in this matter, so that you may be ready, as I said you would be.
2Corinthians 9: 1-3 ESV

They were clearly not not hiding their giving.

Acts 4:34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 4:35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. 4:36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, 4:37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

They were not doing this privately. It was a public thing.

The genuine Christian doesn't give to brag or show off, he does to lay an example. Check 1 Timothy 4:12.
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 5:20am On May 10, 2017
The key is not what you think is right or wrong, but what the VO is thinking.
As a VO I would find it suspicious that a man with no wife and kids in Nigeria is being sponsored to the US by people he has never met before - could this be a case of potential human trafficking? Could this be an attempt to get to the US and stay illegally?
I would err on the side of caution and say no. I would then call homeland security and ask them to investigate that family, just to be sure that they are not into human trafficking.
But then he might meet a favourable VO. Who knows. It's 50-50.

what is wrong in being invited by family you've never met and also them taking care of you for the time your in the States?
