He should say the truth or stick to his what he said at the interview/form. He might just be stamped in for just two weeks, its very possible.

Hi, firstly just state what you filled on your form. Dont let anyone put you in trouble. If your form says 2 weks say it . Only go further if you are asked. Afterall you mostly will be stamped in for 6 months.
Because my reasoning is you stating 4 weeks oppose to ve filled 2 weeks is a GREAT RED FLAG.

Re-apply again. With your husband and the kid you want to travel with. This time give a strong reason, why you are only going with that kid. If you get rejected again, go somewhere else. You are free to re-apply at any time.

I always begin with these questions:
1. Have you applied before, as a single or a couple?
2. Have you used an agent before?
Now lets look at what the VO is probably reasoning:
1. You have four kids, but travelling with only one; can you really afford this trip?
2. The answer to the question, why are you travelling with only one, is quite weak - but the truth is the truth. Although, I would have said, "I just weaned the baby and I can't leave him/her alone, but the other three are old enough and are being taken care of".
3. You are probably pregnant and going to the US to give birth, and trying to increase your chances by applying with your husband and kid (to cover up that you are going to give birth).
These are just my opinions, I will advise you to try other places other than the US for now. If you come back and nothing has changed since you last applied, you may get the same result. And please DO NOT REAPPLY AND SAY YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE BIRTH, THAT WILL JUST CONFIRM THE SUSPICIONS OF THE VO, IF THAT WAS THE CASE.

The correct Visa category (and the form you will fill) is dependent on what you want to do in the US.
= For vacation, check through this forum.

1. You will need an Immigration Visa not a Non-Immigration visa.
2. Since you wish to be sincere, which is good, you also need to apply for the proper visa category i.e. an Immigration Visa.

I discovered this thread last week and have been able to go through few ages. I have the intention of going to the USA next year God willing, though have not started anything yet on it but want to research and find out about somethings that will be helping. I intend using an agent to help me get my visa (work), meanwhile I have decided to provide every info correctly when filling the form due to somethings I have learnt on this thread for the past few days. I will be sincere, I want to go there and start a new life. 2. Your cousin in the US, how did he enter the US?
3. You "own an on-line clothing store", that can be run from anywhere in the world. So you really don't have to be in Nigeria to run it.
4. I am not a VO, but your ties to Nigeria is non-existent. You have nothing that will bring you back to Nigeria.

That was how he narrated the transcript, so I wanna ask what the VO meant as the green passport for the American resident and how can my uncle the applicant have it here in Nigeria.

Tell them you are staying for 4 weeks, so you can be stamped in for 4 weeks. If you say two weeks, you will be stamped in for two weeks and I'm sure you are not planning to over-stay.

3. The VO has stated here that changes to what was filled and/or declared at the interview, will attract greater scrutiny.
- So why are you not going to New York, and you are going to dallas instead?
- Why is your husband not accompanying you?

no one actually knows. that's a fact. but you can improve your chances by looking at your ties to nigeria, filling your form honestly and being confident during the interview.

When it got to the question what my husband does for living i said nothing because hes not working and the consular denied me.

No one knows. But Canada's applications takes a longggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg time to process, you sure you don't want to go to the US, first and come back?

Yeah. But then unless you are retired, a pregnant woman, or in the US for medical reasons; what will you be doing in the US for 6 months...

It's not a plan to see what people will do. Don't over think it. Unless stated otherwise, you have the privilege of remaining in the US for up to 6 months. Anything longer is a possible breach of visa terms.

Hi everyone.
Here is my my profile....im single 29 years old. I have a fledgling company which I incorporated in dec 2016 in the UK. I visited the UK twice this year in respect to my company work.
My company is an online music service. I earn around 450k a month (£1000) on the average.
I had my masters in the UK btw 2013 and 2015. My parents and my brother are based in get UK as citizens. My sis is married she's in Lagos.
I have not worked by july 2015 when I returned to naija and Dec 2016 when I returned to UK to incorporate my company.
In a nutshell I I want to visit my friend in new York and also want to explore and discover more about about the American music scene in respect to my work

Yes they do. But you will need to apply for a visa to leave the airport, contact the airline for that. Also be careful, they may have a stop in a country that you may need a transit visa in, for example, Canada. So make sure before booking. Their flights are good.
