Sorry about that. Let your family nominate someone else to accompany her. Preferably married with kids, a job...basically someone who has strong ties to Nigeria that will necessitate their return. There's still a chance of someone accompanying her. legrande69: Well... Firstly I think what happened today is not fair. Was supposed to accompany my aunt who's having a laser eye surgery at Pennsylvania. V.O: morning Me: morning how are you (Passed passport for scanning) V.O: what's your purpose of travel Me: I'm accompanying my aunt going for a medical examination v.O: do you have any supporting document? Me: passed it to him Then he started typing almost for 5 mins and checking every page over and over V.O: where are you traveling to. Me: told him. V.O: have you been out of Nigeria Me: Yes, to UAE. Visited Dubai and two other Emirates V.O: married or single Me: single V.O: kids Me ; none And I heard the sorry message and got a blue sheet. My AUNTY has her visa already and we were supposed t travel next week. Now she has no one to accompany her which is a big problem for her as she's having a surgery. I was told the V.O should have called the doctor for verification... But none of that was done I feel sad cos when I called my aunt she was almost crying and confused about what to do |

The US is not safe for ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS any-more. LEGAL IMMIGRANTS are welcomed to the US. If this was the case as you claimed, this forum will have dried up and the large crowds outside the US Embassy would have dwindled. Also, a more respectable source like AP, CNN (despite their fake news), UNITED NATIONS should be quoted not 'blogs'. john20177: The US is no safe place for migrants anymore, not just Nigerians or Africans but all foreigners. It's very obvious Trump has hatred for migrants bot in his speech and actions. Just yesterday I read about the influx of migrant from US to Canada.. http://www.myafricansabroad.com/canada-opens-montreal-olympic-stadium-migrants-us/ |

Whatever the case, you are expected to be honest. If you received a rejection letter, you were rejected, even if you withdrew your application. If you are asked to explain why, you can now mention that you withdrew your application. But if you have been denied, tick the appropriate box. cascas: Hello house,
I want to askIf someone should withdraw his application and pull out his passport and one is filling for another application, in the column to tick yes or no if one have been refused visa before for any country, will someone fill a yes or no?, people in the house pls enlighten me. Another thing was that I noticed there was a refusal letter when I withdrew my application but they didn't tick the column for the reasons for refusal as they normally do when someone is refused? I just want to be cleared about this because I withdrew my application before the processing times was completed and I dont think there shld be any reason why it should be termed a refusal Gurus in the house please I need your opinion on this, thanks |

No one knows the VO's mind. But if I was one, I would probably think he's lying unless he says it was out of wedlock. The interviews are short and fast, with a lot of applicants. As you can see the VO didn't ask him a follow-up question about that discrepancy. seyewest: Been married for 3 years and having just a kid who is 4 yrs old is not relevant here... you can be married for 2 yrs and have a 5 yrs old kid. |
Travel › Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 10:00pm On Aug 03, 2017 |
No, its not necessarily an issue, so long as you have provided alternative care for her, although the VO would be thinking about what sort of parents you are, leaving your 2 year old kid for a 10 day holiday to the US (or if you can actually afford it). This is where you have to convince the VO that the kid's welfare has been sorted out, below are some questions to help you out. 1. Have you made plans for who will take care of your kid for 10 days? if yes, mention this to the VO, if asked. 2. Why is your kid not travelling with you? be honest and tell the VO the reason. Hint: you can make the answer romantic. Be honest and truthful, and confident, all the best. Terminator123: Applied with my wife for 3yr wedding anniversary. I have a daughter(2yr) but we will not be going with her. We have never travelled with her before. We have properties and good business here. Is travelling without your child for tourismfor 10days an issue Pls advise. Thanks |

1. I DO NOT THINK ANY V.O. WILL BUY THE IDEA THAT AN ADULT MALE WITH TWO KIDS IS BEING SPONSORED ON A TRIP BY HIS PARENTS. THAT SHOWS THAT YOU ARE NOT FINANCIALLY BUOYANT. I AM ASSUMING YOU PUT YOUR FATHER AS A SPONSOR? 2. IT IS IMPORTANT ALSO, HOW WE FILL OUR FORMS AND ANSWER QUESTIONS - "Faming is hereditary but l am now into famine on my own" // WHAT DO YOU MEAN HEREDITARY, ARE YOU BORN A FARMER? - "to celebrate 60th birthday anniversary with my wifes uncle" // WHY ARE YOU THE ONE GOING AND NOT YOUR WIFE, YOU ARE GOING ALL THE WAY TO THE US TO CELEBRATE YOUR WIFE'S UNCLE'S 60TH BIRTHDAY AND YOU ARE ONLY RELATED TO HIM BY MARRIAGE. 3. A NIGERIAN FARMER DOES NOT MAKE MUCH MONEY, UNLESS HE OR SHE IS INTO MECHANISED FARMING, SO AGAIN FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS CAME INTO PLAY HERE. 4. YOU HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR 3 YEARS, YET YOU HAVE A KID THAT IS 4 YEARS OLD? Yusuf1743: Here is my transcript today at lagos embassy
I was denied
Vo: good morning
me: good morning , how are u
Vo : am fine .. pass ur passport pls
Vo : Ur father is a famer
Me: Yes ( this l think is wat cause my denial ?)
Vo : U work in ur fathers farm
me: Faming is hereditary but l am now into famine on my own .
Vo : how many years have u been married ?
me: 3years ( thou am kind of stammer here )
Vo : how many kids
me : 2kids
Vo: there age ?
me: 4 and 2 years
Vo : Wats ur purpose of visiting america

The correct answer to give is the truth and be honest. Habisoye: Please Gurus in the house;
If at the interview a question was asked by the VO like this: "WHERE ARE YOU GOING IN THE US or WHERE ARE YOU VISITING? Which is the best answer to give, is the TOURIST CENTER ADDRESS in the Ds-160 form or the HOTEL ADDRESS in the ds-160 ? And also is there any difference answer for this two or they are the same question? |

Don't reply him. He can get his answers somewhere else. If it was the VO that replied him, he will be saying 'thank you sir.' cosade: Sorry that I didn't tell you what you wanted to hear. I hope you know that the VO wouldn't apologise to you for asking to announce your salary in the presence of other visa applicants and still deny you. |

THERE IS A REASON WHY SHE'S CONSTANTLY BEING DENIED, MAYBE A PRIOR FALSEHOOD/MISREPRESENTATION IN AN APPLICATION OR HIDING OF MATERIAL FACTS SUCH AS NOT TELLING THE VO, SHE WAS GOING TO GIVE BIRTH OR THAT SHE WAS PREGNANT FOR EXAMPLE. Aktyso: Please I have a valid US visa but want to go for vacation with my family, my wife had applied thrice (the 1st Lagos, 2nd in Abuja and third in Lagos with my two kids) but was denied. I don't know if I should applied first with my Two kids (5yr and 7yrs) first and she can later applied with my last born( 1yr). |

A FATHER THAT LEAVES HIS FAMILY TO GO FOR VACATION IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. APPLY WITH YOUR FAMILY NEXT TIME. ("I was previously denied DV 2014 visa on the basis of inability to convince the VO of a bona fide relationship with my wife." . I AM JUST GUESSING WHAT THE VO MUST HAVE BEEN THINKING babababa1: I was just denied a tourist visa this morning. The transcript goes thus: VO: Good morning Me: Good morning VO: Collected and scanned passport and busy typing VO: you are going to Houston Tx? Me: Yes VO:Where do you work? Me:bla via VO:What do you do there Me: Finance officer, I do bla bla bla Vo: okay Vo:Are you married Me:Yes Vo: do you have children Me:Yes 2children Vo: keep typing Vo: what are you going to Houston for Me: for vacation Vo: where do you intend to go Me: to visit the space centre and the museum district Vo: are you going with your family Me: no. My wife leave was not granted
And that's all. I was denied under section 214 (b).
However, I filled I would be staying with a relative, cousin in Houston. Also I was previously denied DV 2014 visa on the basis of inability to convince the VO of a bona fide relationship with my wife. My only son then was not enough for them to authenticate my valid marriage.
Please gurus, what could be wrong. |

THE FACT THAT YOU WISH TO OBTAIN A US VISA, BY 'LINKING UP' WITH A GROUP, IS A VERY GOOD INDICATOR AS TO WHY, YOU WERE REFUSED 3/4 TIMES. I DON'T THINK THEY STILL DO GROUP INTERVIEWS, OUTSIDE OF FAMILY INTERVIEWS. IF YOU HAVE NO STRONG TIES TO NIGERIA, YOU WILL NOT GET A VISA. BUT THEN THAT'S AT THE DISCRETION OF THE VO. SAVE YOUR MONEY. yankison: House Please i have been denied studet isa about 3 or 4 times , I think the last time was in 2012 ,now i am even done with school here in Nigeria and someone is linking me up for a B1 Visa with a group ....
