1. So if you are married by the time, you are filling your form then you should put married.
2. If there is a space to say if you were married before, use it and give an explanation of what happened.
3. Otherwise during the interview, let the VO know and offer to show evidence of the marriage certificate and divorce certificate.

wolebs0007:
Thanks a lot, I will definitely be married to my new spouse when filling subsequent applications. So I should fill my intended spouse name instead of the previous?God bless
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 10:56am On Oct 13, 2017
Yes, reapply and confess but don't have it mind that you will be given, you may or may not be given - the idea is own up to the lies told, basically throwing yourself at the mercy of the VO. This does not mean you will go scot-free, but I guess it counts to restoring your credibility.
Thats what "coming clean" means in that context.
TestimoneyTesti:
In essence such a person should reapply again and confess or wat do u really mean by coming clean in this condition
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 9:46pm On Oct 12, 2017
1A. Were you really married, if yes, get the marriage certificate (just incase) since you did court marriage. If no, use the form to come clean and state the current situation.

1B. Did you really divorce your former wife, if yes, get the divorce papers (just incase).

2A. Will you be married to your new wife before the interview and/or submission of the form? if no, you are still single...if yes, you can fill married, since you will be married by the time of the interview and/or submission of the form.
All information given during the submission of the form, must be correct as at the time of submission.

wolebs0007:
hello house , I was refused a visit visa in 2015. In the application I had done my introduction and court wedding with my then partner thereby filling married and stating her name in the DS 160 form. Unfortunately the marriage didn't work out as we divorced and went separate ways due to family difference. My question now is that i plan to remarry this by the end of this hear. please how do I rectify my married status on future application and include my present wife name. Thanks
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 9:36pm On Oct 12, 2017
The fact that you lied, shows your intent isn't genuine, why would a genuine tourist lie and put future applications at risk??. Coming clean isn't to get a visa, but to confess and own up to the lies you told and have it on record. After which you leave the US Embassy for a time. I won't say you are banned bcus the VO says if this is the case, you will be informed. You know what? in every aspect of life, it pays to be honest.

I flopped at my interview....pls how can I correct all the lies my agent put up?
And how soon can I reapply....?
It pays to tell the truth
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 10:27am On Oct 12, 2017
Let her apply alone. Give her a copy of your visa page and your data page. When filling the form, let her put your name as the sponsor and also the person she's travelling with.

Please Advice Guys.

I already have my Us Visa and have Travelled to the United states twice and some other countries and spent just three weeks on each trips for work related but I want to take my Wife on a vacation to the united states.

Since I have my Visa and I wrote her name as my wife while I was applying Should I reapply with her (I still have my visa valid ) or just give her my passport as supporting document and she can say I wanna take her out on vacation.

Please what do you advice ?

I don't know, its really up to the VO. Medical treatments require evidence that you can actually afford it.

thanks bro,

you did not make any reference to my first question .
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 6:54pm On Oct 09, 2017
YOU HAVE LIED, FORGET ABOUT GETTING A US VISA AND INSTEAD CONCENTRATE ON RESTORING YOUR CREDIBILITY WITH THE US EMBASSY. THIS IS DONE BY FILLING THE FORM AND TELLING THEM YOU LIED IN THE SPACE FOR THAT INFORMATION, YOU SHOULD ALSO DRAW THE ATTENTION OF THE VO TO THE FACT THAT YOU LIED AND YOU WISH TO COME CLEAN - YOU MAY OR MAY NOT BE GIVEN A VISA.

chimoore247:
Okay thank you so much for your response, so if I come clean and tell the vo that they were my Boss kids but the truth is that I earn the amount I told them, I was a single mother of 1),but married now but am only going for visiting, not going with my husband or my daughter cos my daughter will be in school as at the time I wanna travel and my husband will be working he is a banker, what are my chanceshuh. Thank you and God bless you

Hello house, please can someone help me out with this. I have an invite letter from a friend in US since July of this year. I couldn't apply for visa ever since because things have not been quite smooth. Now I am ready to apply with the invite letter, do you guys know if I can still use same invite letter in November (next month) or just ask the friend to send another one which will take up to 2 weeks to get to me?
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 6:47pm On Oct 09, 2017
Wait, if someone else filled your information for you on your behalf, it is assumed that the information is correct and true. So why do you want to view it? is it not just to recall the information that was valid at that point in time? for example, where you have travelled to, where you have worked before etc.

concho:
Good evening experts and learners like my self in the house grin
I was denied USA visa in 2015 under section 214b.
currently , am suffering from what my doctors called psychosomatic disorder (body and mind not working together ) . And i have stopped school because of the ailment .I have been taking antideperasant for two years now and i cant do anything productive any day i did not take the drug . one of my friends in the USA advised that i should come over to the USA for treatment.
MY questionS now are , (1) Can USA embassy give me visa to go for this particular treatment
(2) How can i view my last application details, since it was done by my formal employer who wanted me to respresent him in a conference .
TravelRe: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by KaptainAfrika: 7:49am On Oct 09, 2017
1. Sister's children or your boss's kids. Which is it?!
2. If you are going to lie to get a US Visa, it shows your intent is to illegally migrate, that's the default reasoning. A legit tourist will not have any reason to lie, and risk putting future applications at risk!
3. Until you come clean about your misrepresentation, you will continue to be denied. So come clean at the next interview, and that involves filling in the portion where you asked if you misrepresented and also telling the VO during the interview that you wish to come clean.
4. YOU WILL NOT GET A US VISA UNTIL YOU HAVE COME CLEAN, AND EVEN WHEN YOU DO, YOU HAVE TO GIVE A LENGTH OF TIME BE FORE REAPPLYING.

chimoore247:
My 1st interview was really a short one,in the form I applied that am going with my sister's children(4)of them but different interview, but the truth is that they are my Boss kids
Vo: who are these people you are traveling with
Me: my sister's kids
Vo:why are the names different
Me: because my sister has changed name
Vo: sorry you are not eligible blah blah blah
But when the kids entered they all were given visa. So my 2nd visa application I applied alone and I got my invitation from another of my cousin in Dallas but to be sincere I don't really know how she got there
Vo: where are you going
Me: Dallas Texas
Vo:where do you work
Me:I work as a purchasing manager at xxxx
Vo: what does your company do
Me:my company is into xxxx
Vo:are you married
Me:not yet but I have a daughter
Vo:sorry blah blah blah
Me:thank you.
So now I got married in July and I want to apply again alone and my big cousin is inviting me and I know well about this my cousin. Please I want to know what are my chances, I got married 3months back, I have a daughter that is 5year she will turn 6 in October, I don't have any Travel experience. What are my chances please I am 34,

1. No documents will be checked. If they are required, you will be told to bring them at a later date.
2. Better to put your relative, but if she got in illegally, it will reflect badly on you.

RomanceRe: MARRIED Woman Asking For Money From Her Ex... by KaptainAfrika: 11:27am On Oct 08, 2017
I knew of a woman that went behind her husbands back to be collecting money from his uncle, she claimed it was for the children and that her husband was not taking care of them but it was a lie, the uncle found out and the devil entered him. He asked her to come over and collect some money, only to lock her up in his room. Things happened before she left for home. (none of which she ever had a mind to do, it was just her greed that did her in)

"Me: I started immediately I returned from Canada. After she said bla bla bla I should have issued your visa but not enough bla bla don't even hear again. Naso she bring my pp and blue paper and said you can reapply anytime you want."

You should have heard what she was saying, most times kind-hearted VO's give hints on what should be done before reapplying...
Here are my suggestions:
1. Monthly income, I know it sounds like salary but I suspect she was asking about the income made from the business as a whole, not salary, I might be wrong.
2. When did you start your business question? this question probably tripped you, the response should have been in days, weeks, months or years.
3. Give sometime before reapplying, so you don't look desperate. You have everything to be honest, its rare for someone to go to canada to study and come back.

Adeneyagrofeeds:
Good day all, I'm a silent reader here. So I went for my interview today and got denied. I will like to share my transcript.
The interview goes thus........
me: good morning.
Vo: good morning.
Vo: why are you going to the us.
Me: I'm going to the US for vacation and family visit.
Vo: where do you work.
Me: I'm the director of Anny Agricultural Feeds, we produce animal feeds for poultry and catfish and also sell agricultural machinery.
Vo: how much is your monthly income:
me: 380k.
Vo: are you married.
Me: yes.
Vo: you have kids.
Me: yes, a single daughter.
Vo: are you travelling alone.
Me: yes.
Vo: How long do you plan to stay.
Me: 3 weeks.
Vo: have you travel out of the country before.
Me: yes to Canada for study and south africa for vacation.
She now check my Canada visa and said Ok.
Vo: she ask again, are you married.
Me: yes.
Vo: oh sorry I asked you that before.
Me: yes. She now said she wanna get something clear. Vo: what agricultural machinery do you sell.
Me: we sell hammer mills, mixer, pelletizing machine for catfish, grinder and so on.
Vo: when did you start your busines.
Me: I started immediately I returned from Canada. After she said bla bla bla I should have issued your visa but not enough bla bla don't even hear again. Naso she bring my pp and blue paper and said you can reapply anytime you want.

I have no intention to stay whatsoever, even my visiting plan is a week, gat nothing to be doing in d USA, I just wanna visit my uncle and he's a police officer over there. I dont know why i was denied. No document was checked.
where do you guys think I missed it?

1. Be honest in your forms, you can fill it yourself without any agent.
2. Be bold, confident, look at the eye of the VO when answering. Give detailed answers, give answers till you are asked the next question or if you are done answering.
3. Is this you, your wife's first time of applying?
4. Is your wife pregnant?
5. From what you have written, your ties are okay.

If 800 dollars is all the money you have on you, its risky. But if you have the equivalent of 1000 dollars in your card (your naira card for example), apart from the 800 dollars you are carrying, you are safe. Finally, its your choice, let us know how it goes.

Bigabbey22:
Thanks bros, may God help u, so am good to go with 800$, thanks.
TravelRe: U.S Visit: Port Of Entry Interview/stories. by KaptainAfrika: 9:26am On Oct 06, 2017
As I have shared my opinion, that also is your opinion, you won't be there when they are asking him what he will do if there's an emergency with only 800 dollars in hand (this is assuming that he has no money in cards, equivalent to 1000 dollars at least). The CBP officer will want to ensure he has enough money, if you go there with just 800 dollars, its risky. Better to hold 1000 dollars in hand, and at least the equivalent of 1000 dollars in the card. If you can't get that amount, maybe you should chill till you do.
leboss6:
for wetin now , see as u just call 3k dollars as if it's 300$ , especially in this days of cashless policy , with 800$ u are good to go ,PTA sef is 500$....$800 dollars is very very ok

1. You can apply for an Immigration visa, to anywhere you want to go, with such amounts in your account, you can afford the choice.

1. Accommodation
2. Feeding
3. Emergencies
4. Duration of stay
These are the factors that come into play, when determining if the money on you is sufficient by the CBP. Going with $800 is not enough, what happens if there is an emergency? try and get 2,000 to 3,000 dollars to be safe.

Bigabbey22:
Pls, how much is the minimum amount traveller can take along because I don't have up to 1000$, am just with 800$. Hope there won't be any challenges at point of entry (POE), Thanks.

Yyeske:
Funny enough, radio Biafra started from London, now we have radio Biafra in South Africa and the US, these countries produce arms and all allowing hate stations on their soil.
I guess they are tolerating those stations so as to heat up the polity in Nigeria and if war breaks out, they'll be happy to sell weapons to Nigeria. The US has already started selling their jets to Nigeria
