IMO, the girl was not wrong to have asked you these questions. However, this sounds like a JAMB exam to me. But all I would say is --do not ever project yourself in a big way. Answer her questions very simply and let her see you as a regular man on the street. Besides, even if you are Tinubu pikin, you are under no obligation to bare it all because you have not even started anything. If she is not comfortable getting to know you in practical terms, I think you should not sweat over her. Outside all those material things and all those components of stability she craves to know, there is your character to study and vice versa. Even your background and the kind of family you are coming from, she does not know.

Never allow anyone to gaslight you into thinking you must bare it all before they can even consider you for a serious relationship at all, let alone marriage. Whosoever can not see the value in you as a simple man must not be given the privilege to get serious with you in a relationship.

In all of these, has she told you all she would bring to the table when eventually you people start the relationship? No, all she wants to know is the comfort you would provide.

There's this neighbor of mine,a girl in her early 20's who's still living with her parents. Recently,I got to know that that took jamb and had even written the exam. So,this morning she came to me to advise her on the next step to take since her result came out and she scored 173. First,this is someone whom I know who doesn't have any skill or handwork. Secondly,her parents aren't that well-to-do type that can see a child through any university at this moment considering how expensive the Nigerian higher institutions have become.

I told her openly that she should go and learn a skill from now till next year and can retake the jamb next year. Though she agreed to what I told her but since then,she has been behaving so cold towards me. Someone who used to respond to me jokes before no longer talks to me. And I've been wondering if what I did was wrong. Or perhaps,I should have just mind my business and let her continue with what she intended on doing.

Spike in sugar level can be as a result of many medical conditions... some diabetes related.


If the friend died from diabetes or spike in his sugar level as you put it and which he didn't state and I wanted to clearify from him we can still not say specifically that Pepsi killed the guy because they are many ways he could have been ingesting or spiking his sugar level of which the drink may have just been one of them. So why say categorically that Pepsi killed anyone? They are people that spike their sugar levels and don't drink Pepsi.

It would have been better if he referred to the specific medical condition that caused the death eg diabetes.

They are people that drink Pepsi daily the quantity he stated that grow old and nothing happened to them until they pass away naturally.


It's wrong to state without proof of medical evidence that pepsi killed anyone... they is a specific cause for his friend's death and it is not Pepsi.

As a guy from poor or average home, you have to speed up your schooling or apprenticeship.

The reason is so you can graduate on time and start hustling or climbing the career ladder.

The earlier you start, the earlier you start making money.

Someone who graduated at 21 has big chances of making it quicker than someone who graduated at 28 just because they are younger.

I am honestly surprised why men keep going the route of opening businesses for their unemployed wives.

Most businesses fail in their first year.
Most first time business people fail at their first business.

Go and ask around, most people who have a profitable business, the business is not their first business.

Good evening everyone. So, I recently graduated with a second class upper, and I've been trying to come up with some plans for the "future".
So, I've been thinking of an alternate path if I don't make it through the usual graduate entry path(my mind works that way. I prepare for the worst case scenario in advance).
Now, I visit a lot of Nigerian job sites, and two particular fields have been coming up lately, albeit with poor pay at the entry level, by Nigerian standard.

And these fields: accounting and human resource management (HR). But you see that HR; it tends to get a lot of vacancies though at the entry level, although the lay range is usually between 100k-150k max. Same goes for accounting.

Now, I didn't study accounting in particular, but if I decide to go the ICAN route; will I have to wait till I write all my papers across all levels before I even get an entry level role, or can I get an entry level role with just the foundation level passed? Because my priority is experience. I need experience.

I've done my research and it seems the HR route will give me an entry level role in time, compared to the ICAN route. Both exams cost at least 300k across all levels(total, not factoring in papers that might need to be re-written).

Although, accounting seems more "fun" to me, compared to the HR path, but I'm not one who likes to waste money and time, if I can't get a reward. I don't even know what HR personnel do aside recruiting (I'll still do more research).

Mind you, the pay is poor for both fields at the entry level. Because I don't see how I'm going to survive on 120k-150k per month, including accomodation, transportation, feeding and all. It seems only graduate trainee roles pay well at the entry level in Nigeria.

If I go this route; I'll have to endure these horrible pay for a few years(5 years min) before I even think of getting paid 500k per month.

Or do I just abandon both and do us on any skill set that can earn me dollars while in Nigeria?

I just need some mature inputs. Thanks.

Entry level pay is poor for almost all career in Nigeria.

Either career path would do but I'll vote for HR because of its low entry barrier and how easy it is.

What you need is a long term plan of switching between jobs, that's the only way to get high pay fast.
