grin grin grin grin grin grin grin I understand. Even Tayo Aina, the YouTuber don buy passport.

When I say I don't rate our elites, it cuts across all ethnic groups and walks of life. So, whether politics or business or clergy, I don't rate them. They are so unintelligent! ALL OF THEM! Wetin I don see for so far, I detest them! I am probably sure I will get more angrier when I enter China, Hong Kong and even Malaysia. An acquaintance went to Vietnam for a scientific conference and was shocked there was constant electricity. The universities he said were performing research our federal universities haven't done. This is someone who attended a first generation university for both BSc and MSc and had a very high CGPA.

Nigerian elites are worthless!

I'm even more particular about the yoruba elites.

Ologundudu for example is a famous activist poet in the early 2000s.

Baba would call out Obasanjo, he even composed a song for a certain Lukman Ajose in which he called him Ole (thief).

But during the last election, baba was hyperventilating and calling for all yoruba to unite and support Tinubu! shocked

I mean, these people are the bedrock of our culture as at this present, they are supposed to be ones to tell us what an Omoluabi should be and how s/he should behave but it's this same people blackmailing us to vote for an obvious incompetent aspirant.

It's like leading your family to take poison prepared by your brother because you don't want next door neighbor to make sales.

It really hurts when I think deeply about it.

As a counterpoint, there are good private universities in the country, which in my opinion, should measure up based on undergraduate studies with certain schools in the UK EXCEPT the elite universities. The US is very different, so na there I go understand the pains. But better Covenant than Durham, then do MBA or MSc at Oxbridge or Imperial. However, going forward, any rich person wey no get another passport, preferably the one which has good universities that the children can attend at citizens' tuition rates never start.

My concern about the insecurity is when compared to Ghanaian elites who can drive through their country without fear, the Nigerian wealthy class cannot do the same. Some of them cannot even visit their villages or even visit the nearby state without carrying armed security join body. They are just stuck in their gated compounds.

Until those private institutions become a path to citizenship in UK, Nigerians will continue to travel to UK for study.

As for our elites, majority are dumb. Look at Wole Soyinka for instance.

Romance / Re: As A Man With A 50k Monthly Salary, Is He Ripe Enough To Get Married by Karleb(m): 7:14pm On Jan 27
Nazgul:
Not in the city. Or else you and your family would die of hunger.

But you can survive on 50k salary in the village. Let's say you're a Local government worker or state worker. And you're working in your village, living in the house you inherited...you can go into farming and support your family with proceedings from the farm. Your wife can get a shade in the local market and sell provisions.

You can rear goats and chickens and sell them on market days thus making cool profit.

You would be better than most people around you and would be considered as a rich person in the village.

Sweet to say in words.

If you earn 50k and are married and into farming in the village, you will be poor.

The truth be say, if the country's economy was like that of 2012, many people wouldn't have bothered to relocate. The insecurity has worsened terribly. But then sha, they said people are making money in Nigeria, which I agree with. But how are they enjoying it amidst the insecurity is where I am confused.

Nigerians just have this affluence mentality.

Trust me, only very few are enjoying including the rich.

For the rich, the problem is not what to eat or wear but imagine people that have children in UK paying double the school fees they paid 8 months ago.

Is that not enough to make one run mad?

Politics / Re: Why Peter Obi Has To Step Down For Atiku Abubakar by Karleb(m): 3:54pm On Jan 27
Gerrard59:

1. A Muslim northerner will succeed Tinubu after eight years. The Muslim northerner will choose a Yoruba Muslim as his running mate. The bigwigs in APC SW are mostly Muslims. With Tinubu's presidency, they will cement their influence and power. Which means, for 24 uninterrupted years, Muslims will head Nigeria. The influence of the church will decline as division creeps in. Already, the elections have shown that Nigerian Christians are not united in the face of Muslim-Muslim presidency. Like I predicted on Twitter last year, should APC win in 2023, no Christian would get into Aso Rock for the next 16 years.

2. In two decades, Nigeria's Muslim population will not only increase by influence, but by actual numbers. Maximum of 30 years, I expect Nigeria to have a solidified Muslim majority, and becoming an Islamic Republic. Christians would be economically disadvantaged with some conevrting to Islam and these rich Muslims marrying the daughters of Christians, including those in the south south and south east. The Christian men are obviously very poor due to limited economic opportunities and a large number having relocated. Men japa more than women. These women cannot remain single forever. This is already happening in Northern Nigeria and will extend to the east. During the relentless onslaught towards Northern Nigeria's Christians two years ago, I told someone who mimcks as a geopolitical analyst that Nigeria will have a Muslim majority by 2050. He said I was talking nonsense. Last year, he saw that Christians' birth rates in the south have declined while the north keeps increasing. Add the economic destruction Northern Christians have faced, it means their population has declined further. Expect to see Ezinne Mohammed and Ekaette Umar. grin

3. As for igbos in a Tinubu's administration, they should expect economic warfare. Buhari did military warfare, expect economic destruction. The kind of Yorubas who support APC feverntly DO NOT like Igbos. They will do everything in their powers to deal with Igbos economically. With people like El-Rufai and Shettima, the job will done clinically. Igbos go get crumbs (assuming they get anything in the first place). These events will further reduce the wealth and birth rates of Igbos. Again, as an Igbo person, it is better you build your wealth and investment outside Nigeria. I stated this, but got insulted. As usual, when it happens, I will be here to gloat.

4. Y'all start learning Yoruba o and the Koran. It will be very important in seeking contracts and plum federal jobs.

5. As for the economy, the south west and the north will benefit economically. The rest of the country won't. Nigeria as a whole will not prosper because of the ethnic fractures - divisive countries never prosper. Since the south west will benefit economically, it is why number 4 is very important.

As usual, some will curse me and say I am lying. But as usual, I will be here to remind them and gloat. grin grin grin grin

That number 5 is actually not true o.

I'm Yoruba and I will keep saying this, there's nothing southwest is benefiting from APC and Tinubu, infact, a yoruba person is more likely to suffer under Tinubu because they believe he will do something.

One of my people said you need to break eggs to make omelette. grin

While an igbo man understands he is danger and is fully prepared for the inevitable, a yoruba man would give his life Tinubu, a lot of them have done that.

I mean, this same people jubilated when Tinubu won and promised to remove subsidy.

Anyway, the best way to enjoy what is left of this country as a common man is to elected good leaders from the Governor, down to the local government chairman and counselor.

There are some communities in Nigeria that are enjoying the amenities. From good road to water, to electricity.

Look at Abia for example, Ipazu was more wicked than Buhari but Otti has righted the of his predecessors within months and In Ondo state, Ayedatiwa has paid the salary owed by 2 governors before him.

Future folks should start learning Spanish and Portuguese from their mothers' wombs. grin

It's easier to learn those languages than to earn in this declining naira to pay school fees in pounds or dollar.

Offpointng:
Straight to the point, I'm someone who doesn't like to bore people out with my problems so whatever is happening to me I just keep to myself and find a respite or just die in it if I can't fine my way outta the problem

My fiancee appear nice but tbh I really can't tell cuz ion ask her for things. so I decided to play a quick test on her to understand her further; but the result further came out confusing. What was this test;

So I just thought to myself one day, paradventure (godforbid) life turn against me, will she be there for me?? I kinda lied to her I had IPPIS issue at work and I might not be paid for bout 3 month (wanted to see if she would support me thr that 3 month or not) and stuffs will be kinda hard for me. Tho she condole with me and was maybe sad for me idk but thr these 2 months now she has never for once told me take, I know things are not easy with you at the moment how can I assist or take this little amount. Does she work? Oh yes. How much does she earn? 85k roughly (does work remotely often and only report to work on Mondays alone) so yeah thinking of giving me 10k should not be an issue for her.

Tbh guys I was really heartbroken, I wished she passed the test cuz I really had good plans for her, cuz my trust for her would have been elevated and I was to surprise her with another phone cuz ion like the fact she uses Tecno (tho she isn't complaining sha) she doesn't really bill me to.

Now ion know if I should see her as a wife material or someone I can marry. So, I've come to ask if I'm really overreacting since I didn't really ask her to help me with money. Secondly, was that a wrong test to have done?? I'm confused.

The girl does not love you.

You clearly a carefree bozo, and just by your small thinking I'm definitely sure I'm superior to you in all ramifications of life. If you can't take up lessons from every aspect of life you turn to then you're a dimwit. Films are infact a powerful life learning tool, they also open your mind to new things, culture, and a bit of history. If you seen the movie Oppenheimer, and if you've read on so many articles and watched YT biography videos about the man, you realise the movie did a neater job compiling these facts together, coupled with strong acting making it more simple/easy to digest mentally, it was like breastfeeding a baby. That's a good learning tool now. Air brained mfer.

Yen yen yen yen.

You keep learning in all movies but you are so dumb.

Learning but it's not reflecting in your life or thought process.
