Keenysbojan: please explain to us..we are to learn What's there to explain? "I was like, Ok" Is a grammatically correct sentence or statement or phrase or clause, but not a formal speech as in; you can't address a large crowd or the president or your VC with it because it's informal but grammatically correct! gerrit? |

There is nothing wrong with that phrase, it's just that it is no formal English. |

@Cbrass Can I ask you some rather serious questions.
1. Do you think it's possible for a b.sc guy with Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry to be admitted for M.sc in Chemical Engineering.
2. So all these University of technology actually run a five yrs programme irrespective of the course your doing.
3. You didn't read computer science, did you? |

What is ohms law again sef *scratches head* Karleb do you still remember Yes! Ohms law state that the current passing through a metallic conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference provided an external force like temperature or pressure is constant. |

gameboi: The other names for tritones are augmented fourth or diminished fifth. There are only two tritones for any particular scale. And tritones are gotten by counting three whole steps from the present note. In the key of C, the tritones are C-F# and F- B. So, what's the argument about? Is this explanation for me or it's just to settle the duel between Dramydidy and Gianno? Anyways, it's quite helpful. @in bold, why hasn't somebody put it in that simple term, huh? ...eerrm gameboi, warrabout the slash chord you said you'll give me? One last question, why do we call it Tritones when the sound come from the combination of two keys? |

Education › Re: Organic Chemistry Only!!! by Karleb(m): 4:08pm On Oct 13, 2014 |
beatsbyj2g: Happy Sunday pals.
Let's learn a little bit abt representing organic molecules
There are a number of ways to representing organic compounds. It is useful to know all of these so that you can recognise a molecule however it is shown.
There are three main ways of representing a compound. I would use the example of a molecule called 2-methylpropane to help explain the difference between each.
Molecular formula The molecular formula of a compound shows how many atoms of each type are in a molecule. The number of each atom is written as a subscript after the atomic symbol. The molecular formula of 2-methylpropane is: C4H10
Structural formula The structural formula of an organic compound shows every bond between every atom in the molecule. Each bond is represented by a line. The structural formula of 2-methylpropane ( do it on ur own)
Condensed structural formula When a compound is represented using its condensed structural formula, each carbon atom and the hydrogen atoms that are bonded directly to it are listed as a molecular formula, followed by a similar molecular formula for the neighbouring carbon atom. Branched groups are shown in brackets after the carbon atom to which they are bonded. The condensed structural formula below shows that in 2-methylpropane, there is a branched chain attached to the second carbon atom of the main chain. You can check this by looking at the structural formula.
CH3CH(CH3)CH3 Which one is condensed structural formular again? , and why are you not talking about empirical fomula? |

I've read New School Chemistry, Lamlard Chemistry, Essential Chemistry and one yeye Comprehensive Chemistry like that and yet I've never really come accross the skeletal structure thingy. I guess it's what they teach in Unis, right? BTW, try and explain what skeletal structures means, thanks. |
