I choosed chemistry because of it's vast employment opportunities and i derive joy reading Ababio, i love chemistry with passion.

Me too have always loooove chemistry, as in the subject just wanna make you know more about it's self, though in my case 'industrial chemistry' is the course but I'm currently with biochemistry and I hope to change it when we resume.

...and that New School Chemistry book always add petrol to my fire love for chemistry.

1. V-IV(Cmaj)=> [Gmaj]-[Dmin]-[Fmajor]
2. II - V(Cmaj)=> [Dmin]-[Dmajor]-[Gmaj]
3. III- VI(Cmaj)=> [Emin]-[Emaj]-[Amin]
4. I- IV(Cmaj)=> [Cmaj]-[Bbmaj]-[Fmaj].
These are the few I can think of for now. I'll formulate the rest of these passing chords and post them here when I come in contact with any keyboard. I've not been playing and practising for weeks.
By the way, what's your favorite key?

F major of all time! I can even play it with my eyes closed.

1. Kirk Frankiln- Now behold the lamb{Bbmaj}: Fmajor Dmajor Gminor(that I may Live again).
2. Joyous celebration-In the shadow{Cmajor}: Dminor Dmajor Gmajor.(Confusion and Fear)
NB: the Notes in the curly brackets indicate the Key in which the song was played. The notes that are bolded indicate the passing chords. The words in square bracket indicate the place in the song's Lyrics where such passing chords were used.

Why am I having the feelings that this passing chords things is wider than it seems?

Passing chords are like links between two or more chords. Some of them either give a calm and soothing sound while others give a rash sound. An instance is that Cmaj- Bbmaj9- Fmajor progression I posted earlier. The Bbmaj9 is actually a passing chord.

How about giving like two more examples so that I may know much about passing chords.

Passing/transition chords. It's very good to know about 'em.

My last comment is all I can categorically say I know about chord progression.


All I know about them is that, they are chord that can be play in different ways but gives same result when heared by an average listiner.

chord progression is are ways a keyboardist play chords which might be different or thesame to the way other keyboardist play the same chords.

Correct. Fmajor balances the Bbmaj9. With Dmin another chord is needed to completely balance it. Same as Amin.

Not all of them balance the tension created by the Bbmaj9 properly. That's why I was asking which of the three progressions Balances the tension.

for one that I'm very very sure of is the first one, which is the f major, the rest? I just thought selecting an option is necessary.

you're wrong oh! I'll give you a little assignment. On the key of Cmajor, play the following progression. 1st progression: [Cmajor=C-E-G][BbMaj9 =Bb-C-D-F][F major=F-A-C]. 2nd Progression: [Cmaj=C-E-G][Bbmaj9=Bb-C-D-F][Dmin=D F A]. 3rd Progression: [Cmaj=C E G][Bbmaj9=Bb C D F][Aminor=A C E]. What do you notice about the three progressions? and in which one is there a balance from the tension created by the Bbmaj9 chord?

1. The three chords consist of a form of tension, balance and release (you don stylisly answer am for your question )

2. i. F major
ii. C major
iii. C major

Sometimes i just sitdown and wonder why a doctor that works 7days a week saving lives should earn less than a footballer that plays atmost twice in a week.
