DISCIPLINE. Personally, I set a target and stick to it. e.g. 50% of my profit goes to a certain project... There are times the 50% will be reinvested... debeey87: When investing and making great profits, at what point do you actually enjoy the gains in terms of benefits to oneself(buy a house, take a vacation , maybe a car etc) without the guilt of oh I could have reinvested this profit and made more gains. |

I sincerely hope it closes at +10% On the bolded, a lot of investors are probably selling off due to the poor DIV pymt history... ojeysky: Interesting almost 1bn worth traded and supply is still coming out. Someone may be neutralising the full bid intentionally. Remind me of chams.... |

Someone is accumulating ETERNA... The new CEO assumed office on Monday 3 February. He served in BP’s Integrated Trading and Supply subsidiary, BP Oil International, within the Deals Origination Business Unit. In BP’s Strategic Origination team, he played a pivotal role in developing BP’s Africa trading strategy, culminating in the establishment of BP Global West Africa Ltd in Nigeria. 😉 Sunrisepebble: It is a two way street. Aradel has shares in Conhall, Conhall has shares in Aradel. There's an individual that links them together, his name has slipped my mind. I don't think Conhall has disclosed their holdings in them publicly but you just have to take my word for it. They have about 20-30mn units of Aradel, post the stock split |

Not to burst your bubble but I keep seeing the bolded wrt CONHALL. I do not think they have any intention to sell off their holdings in ARADEL so long may 'the loot' continue... SonofElElyonRet: It's probably a one off .. loot from aradel investment.. hoping they'll give a bountiful payout as dividend which will drive price up steeply.. maybe scrip issue fit join too. That profit for 2024 is too juicy for them not to give we shareholders something gbemulicious |

Yeah. We have two ministers of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas and Oil)... zendi: The President is the Minister for Petroleum. It is a retained portfolio, by discretion of the President.
Buhari did too.
The Minister of State, Lokpobiri, not Kyari, is his deputy in the Ministry. The Minister of State is also called the Junior Minister. There is one or two in every Ministry. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 10:46pm On Feb 06, 2025 |
We are technically on same page. PBAT, in this scenario, acted as the Minister of Petroleum Resources in which capacity the proposal was presented to [and adopted by] the FEC headed by the President The bolded is Minister BAT chimex38: OK.. maybe I should've used obliged instead of forced. (But that's how I perceive executive orders just as Trump is doing ). Nothing personal.
The PIA might have provided for the DCSO as you stated to sell quotas to local refinery. But the currency of transaction of crude-sale was changed to Naira by PBAT. It was in the news then. My emphasis is on the use of the Naira for local transaction rather than the usual Dollar 💵 |

Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 4:40pm On Feb 06, 2025 |
The bolded might be interpreted as taking things personal. It was not an Executive Act of PBAT. There is what we call the Production Curtailment and Domestic Crude Oil Supply Obligation Regulations (DCSO) 2023 which is issued AND enacted by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) as premised on Section 109 (2) of the PIA... The Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) was signed into law on 16th August, 2021chimex38: The debt no be here Oo . Plus Most of the Oil Companies are forced to sell a percentage to local refineries in dollars Naira) by PBAT executive act. Unless probably their debts are restructured for long term. I think they will have to come to the market. |
