Not really 'enlightenment'. Many have decided to abstain from any form of security after getting their fingers burnt in 08/09 and we cannot really blame them... mikeapollo: Thanks for this update; highly educating.
But were Nigerians from any other parts of the country prevented from buying the shares in those olden days? I guess it was the educated few, not necessarily people from particular part(s) of the country that bought the shares. Even right now, I think only the enlightened few still have shares in these companies; majority of Nigerians from all parts of the country still do not own shares or any form of securities. |

Such is life... onegentleguy: Such is life my dear.
For near 2 decades (18 yrs and counting) we've been dishing out proficient, effective and value-driven investment guide for free (at least 88% of the time), oftentimes going off our comfort zone to help others yet... Sometimes we even got insults/uncanny remarks, unfair criticisms, unwarranted bans (like the last 3... over an analysis I did on CHAMS, DS and GSK that would've served to benefit many... wonder why the bots are doing that), yet we try to offer help when we can.
Still, certain homo sapiens housing what should've been a God-given conscience and a life chose to slam us.
It might interest you to know that 2 among the folks who criticized me had at one point sent me private messages seeking for some form of financial advisory and investment guide. (one had to use a different moniker) ...shocking you'd say right?
Life can be quite unfair. Truth is; we live in a cruel world so it's best not to take this things to heart. That way, you get to preserve your physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
For as long as you live and lead your life with honesty and sincerity of purpose, every other thing will take care of itself... and God will take care of every other thing!
It is well. |

This is a classic COMPENSATION money. Cash for 500k units @ ½ SP (₦35) will give ₦17.5m mikeapollo: People really want to benefit from the share redistribution exercise, which has been guesstimated to be 1 for 2. That should naturally move the price in any market, otherwise nothing else would. |

In recent history, bigger, better institutions have failed... nosa2: You will not see these valuations again in your lifetime. It is common saying that "for every willing buyer, there is a willing seller" The best you [and a few] can do is offer advice and let everyone sieve such advice. The truth is we all have varying timelines and targets for our investments... nosa2: Why are you people in such a rush to sell? Unless you need the cash, you shouldn't be looking to sell Access at anything below N90.
Even that N90 is based on current valuations. If results come out and the valuation changes then that number should change accordingly. Don't get excited and leave the real money on the table |

Q4 '24 performance rivals FY '23 performance EPS HistoryH1 '24. -2500k Q3 '24. -555k FY '24. -14k Tolaram actually acquired Diageo’s shares at ₦81.60 each whereas it has maintained an average SP of ₦60 - ₦70 in the past 6 months. EPS should [hopefully] return to + by Q1 '25... Sunrisepebble: I just briefly went through the FS also. That EPS is high but there’s something going on with the finance income and expense. Will do more research when I’m chanced |

If you check the results, you'll see that the 'sustained loss' was NOT a working capital because it was already captured at 1 January 2024 (so it was not a result of the placement of August 2024. Infact it was ₦19,003,112 in FY '23 and ₦20,372,312 in Q3 '24 reports Anyway, I agree with the bolded... yMcy56: The question is: The so called sustained loss, what brought it about? Was it there in 2023 FYE?
The "sustained loss" to me was a working Capital due to the private placement done in August 2024, that was why it's reflecting in the 2024 FYE. If you check thru the result, you'll see where this was identified as equity as well.
Anyway, everyone is free to give the result his/her interpretation based on their objectives or mindset, but to Mcy, it was a good result and an improved one for that matter.
The Onshore biz delivered so well this time around too. |

Not sure. The block has been abandoned for some decades (since the onset of the civil war)... mikeapollo: Could this be the reason or explanation, as contained in the official release?
....''Block KON 13 is strategically located in the prolific Kwanza Onshore Basin which represents significant exploration potential in both pre-salt and post-salt plays, with estimated prospective resources of 770 to 1,100 million barrels of oil. The block has two (2) exploration wells previously drilled to a target depth of 3,000m, with oil and gas observed across various depths. With a 45% participating interest, OER will lead the development of the block as operator, alongside Effimax (30%) and Sonangol (15%) as co-venturers.'' |

Let me drop my 2cents on JAPAUL (for posterity sake) 1. Japaul Offshore seems to be the mainstream for now. 2. FY'24 Profit is ₦1.833bn. 3. There's a sustained loss of ₦18.54bn which was overshadowed by the increased share capital AND share premium. Recall that ₦20bn was injected by an investor last year... 4. Lastly, OS is about 14.26bn. EPS is about ₦0:12k See also Notes 6 to 8 ... ✌🏽 |
