Every mallam to his kettle... jonnysessy: I stand by what i said and i even went ahead and explained myself. You can never predict this market accurately. Your chart, graphs, fundamental analysis. technical analysis, sentiments etc are taking you to a direction while the market is taking you to an opposite direction. |

The Wyckoff method is based on three core laws: Law of Supply and Demand: When demand exceeds supply, prices rise; when supply exceeds demand, prices fall. Law of Cause and Effect: A period of accumulation or distribution (the "cause" leads to a subsequent price move (the "effect" . Law of Effort vs. Result: The relationship between volume (effort) and price movement (result) indicates buying or selling pressure. |

After you made the deposit, did you confirm the number of units they purchased for you? Those days of analogue/paper form shares purchase, it is possible that only 1700units was purchased. However, the balance should have been refunded to you. If, a big IF, you have any evidence you can present it to them. Good luck ElectronicMoney: I need advise on how best to approach this problem.
In June 2007 I made a deposit of N100K to a stockbroking firm for the purchase of shares of Wema Bank.
After the shares were purchased they gave me my CSCS number and the CHN and I had no further contact with the stockbroking firm; this was partly because the market was not doing so well and the price of shares had crashed.
In 2015 or thereabouts I went to the office of the stockbroking firm and learnt that they had moved to another address.
Now early this month when I heard that shares had started going up in price I searched for the company online and was able to get their new address and their phone numbers.
I put a call to them and asked for a copy of my CSCS statement which was sent to me.
When I examined it I was shocked to see that the number of Wema Bank shares was just 1,700 approximately when in actual fact it should be above 20,000.
Let me state categorically that I have never given instruction to sell either verbally or in writing!
Even if there was capital reconstruction by Wema Bank between 2007 and 2025 there is no way shares of N100K which were purchased in 2007 would have reduced to just 1,700.
I need advise on how best to approach this matter because I am very sure that something does not add up. |

H1 https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/44877_PRESTIGE_ASSURANCE_PLC-_QUARTER_2_-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2025_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_AUGUST_2025.pdfkintus: Key Highlights from Q1 2025
Gross Premium Written (GPW): ₦5.55bn (↑ 11% YoY from ₦5.0bn in Q1 2024) Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₦776m (↑ 31% YoY from ₦594m) Profit After Tax (PAT): ₦647m (↑ 31% YoY from ₦494m) Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₦0.05 (vs ₦0.04 in Q1 2024) Investment Income: ₦709m (↑ 33% YoY from ₦534m) Shareholders’ Fund: ₦22.7bn (↑ 5% YoY) Total Assets: ₦32.6bn (↑ 6% YoY)
Investor Interpretation
1. Profitability Strengthening: Both underwriting and investment income improved, showing resilience in a tough operating environment. The 31% profit growth is a strong signal for investor confidence.
2. Earnings Quality: A large portion of growth came from investment income (+33%), not just core insurance underwriting. While this boosts results, it also exposes the company to capital market risks.
3. EPS Growth: EPS of ₦0.05 in Q1 indicates potential to deliver ₦0.20 full-year EPS, assuming momentum continues. At a modest P/E ratio, the stock looks undervalued compared to peers.
4. Balance Sheet Stability: With ₦22.7bn in shareholders’ funds and steady asset growth, Prestige remains financially sound. Solvency ratios appear healthy.
5. Market Sentiment Factor: The insurance sector on NGX is experiencing mixed investor sentiment—AIICO, Cornerstone, Lasaco are more actively traded, while Prestige trades thin volumes. This could limit short-term momentum unless driven by earnings releases or sectoral news.[/b] |

A NEW DAWN BabsO2: Each year, Oando usually anchors the Chairman’s statement and front-page message around a theme phrase (e.g., in 2018 it was “Unrelenting Drive”, in 2020 it was “Resilience through the Storm”).
Current theme should be share distribution is here
And the next one “Enjoy turnaround cash dividends” |
