$1Tn is not beans o. The so-called FDIs are not using the barometer of mere SP increase (which translates to market cap) to determine business growth. I'm not an economic expert but I'm sure these FIs are not really convinced about these pseudo rallies. IF the FX is not stable, there's no way the market/economy will look attractive for investment. A bull run in INS doesn't mean the sector is now strong especially when the fundamentals are lacking... Also until we have a good percentage of companies and conglomerates listed on the NGX, we have a mountain to climb Locotrader: What do you think will drive the $1 Trillion economy? The Govt has explained to you they will use the insurance and financial sector to drive the $1 Trillion economy. Watch out as investors will troop into Nigeria to boost the economy |

Our perspectives are different (for now) but I'm going to keep mute for now. I'll wait for further directives from NAICOM... Locotrader: I didn't expect this comment from such an intelligent person like you.
Hope you know all stocks are being repriced in the recent? The NSE market capitalization last month and this month are they same?
Zenith bank market capitalization last 2 months and now are they same?
Will we say manipulations are going on generally?
If your answer is no,why will repricing in Royalex which will boost its capitalization be manipulations?
Nigeria going to $1 Trillion economy is also manipulations? |

This will be tantamount to manipulated capitalisation. If the fundamentals were there all this while, the SP should have appreciated... Locotrader: Another reason we remain at Royal family is they are recapitalizing at N25B with Naicom and NSE current capitalization is N16.2B.
Royalex has to break and settle at above N30B NSE capitalization in due time.

It is pertinent to also state that the bolded could land you in trouble... "... sold without following due process... " is better faoogoke: It is pertinent to note that non on of the Re insurance companies is listed on the exchange. Continental re-insurance was delisted years back. Nigeria Re-insurance was fraudulently sold to and purchased by Ibrahim Jimoh. A lot of legal battles around the case. I think the government recovered it from him. And then, there is FSB re-insurance wholly in private hands. We wait to see if they will come to the market, and perhaps some other players might level up to the re-insurance stage. |
