I used lover to cover boyfriend, live in partner, fiance or husband.
Well out of all those, the only person who you share finances with is your husband and even then unless you're some village housewife you shouldnt be relying on him to provide you "makeup, clothes, etc". Use your own paycheck.

oyb lol. some women make me happy that Im not a man that has to deal with such people. Pele tongue

No; He complains when you buy expensive ones with your money and b/c both of you are working together as couples, your expenditure indirectly affects his savings too.
I dont understand this your relationship. Guys only complain when you use THEIR money foolishly. As long as it's your money there are no complaints.

Notice you said lover and not husband.

What if he's obsessed with saving and doing it at your own expense. Because of his stinginess, you are subjected to using cheaper cosmetics, clothing and no parties or what not. kiss kiss
why are you relying on a man for cosmetic, clothes etc in the first?

Should we wait for them to buy our sanitary pads as well?

huh

What part of E Coli being a problem in the water of NJ did you not understand? You claimed that such doesnt happen in Western societies and last I checked The United States is included in that.

and please dont come to me with "oh that's the US and not the UK", cos that's not the point. Pint is such things can happen in any country and stop making it seem like it's just a Nigerian/African thing

Gamine:
Secondly, i know what is true and right
i really do not support the jet thingy but why don't we try to see it from the other side
What is the other side?

People are expressing their displeasure towards this whole deal which you yourself just said you dont support yet at the same ime you're yelling at us saying that "dont Christians deserve *nice* things. What kind of ridiculous argument is that?

londoner:
@ Pataki, cool, apology accepted.
grin grin wink

@karmamod, I meant that things like Cholera/typhoid etc are unheard of in the Uk.

They are unheard of. Unless you have heard of cases of any?
E Coli has similar toxins as Chorea so what are you talking about?
Christianity EtcRe: Adeboye Shops For $20m Jet by KarmaMod(f): 4:36pm On Jul 16, 2008
Why would I post in a thread where the link posted wasnt even working? huh

Gamine:
Charity
Theres enough of those
So? So what? Shouldnt you people be ashamed thet most charities are of other countries? Wanna keep on relying on the white people charity to help you? while wasting money on garbage when you can be helping your fellow man. No offence Gamine but at times you dont reason properly.
I guess when one is brainwashed so much, you cant really expect much.

Go and throw away all your nice things

so that that homeless man can live
Im not a pastor buying unnecessary stuff. Like someone mentioned to you in another thread, you need to stop the stupid analogies.

Vicade, have you ever heard of CHARITY or what's wrong with you people? Most of the people going to these churches can barely afford a car.

How about putting the money in BETTER use? Open up soup kitchens or family programs. So much one can do with 20 million naira that doesnt involve a bloody jet

That may be your take on what I have said, but you have to be upright enough to know that I never asserted such a thing at all. I would never say that. If you had read my replies without being so intent on seeing what you wanted to see, you would have seen me fully accept the fact vthat the Uk has had issues with such things as Ecoli, CJD and the like.

Did I deny it?
Then What Does This MEAN?

Some of the diseases that people get from the dirty water in some places in Nigeria, are unheard of in london (or anywhere in the western world for that matter)
CelebritiesRe: Mary J In Nigeria by KarmaMod(f): 3:57pm On Jul 16, 2008
londoner:
@ Karmamod, so what exactly is the issue then. if I have not said anything untrue where is the sticking point for you in what I have said?
The problem Im having, Im not gonna speak for the others is the fact that you re acting like Naija is the only place with environmental dieases when that is NOT the case. We have cases of such here in the States and we have no problem stating it, I just DONT understand why you "Naija Brits" feel the need to be in denial of the UK having such issues as well.

That is all it is. No one is saying that Nigeria doesnt have such issues.

It's just funny the same thing Rhianna was afraid of during her visit to Nigeria last year is what is actually happening in NJ right now.
CelebritiesRe: Mary J In Nigeria by KarmaMod(f): 3:34pm On Jul 16, 2008
If anyone is twisting this discussion londonder, it's you

So, you are telling me that noone in Nigeria has typhoid or cholera?

Even if you never had it, its not enough to say it doesn't exist.
Where did any of else claim otherwise? huh
CelebritiesRe: Mary J In Nigeria by KarmaMod(f): 3:13pm On Jul 16, 2008
londoner:
W
Still no evidence provided by any of you that cholera, typhoid and other water born illnesses are not an issue/nonexistent in Nigeria, hmmmmm, I wonder why, lol
Why would I deny that huh It happens. I'm quite aware of it but I'm not foolish enough to be screaming that it only happens in Nigeria esp with the situation of New Jersey right now.

Unlike the so called Brits here I don't feel the need to bash Nigeria to uplift another country despite living here way longer than I ever lived in Nigeria.
RomanceRe: Can You Sharing The Story About You And Your Nigerian Boyfriends? by KarmaMod(f): 3:10pm On Jul 16, 2008
because the girls are jus so annoying , and we can't fight back in words.seems God has blessed them in the use of the tongue
Are you not ashamed of yourself? So as to pander to foreign women you are running your mouth about how compared to other women Naija girls are so "annoying" that they deserved to be beaten? Are you mentally sound at all?

Maybe in your family such dysfunction was cool but those of us who were raised in normal surroundings didnt go thru such nor were we raised with such a pitiful mentality.

Some of the diseases that people get from the dirty water in some places in Nigeria, are unheard of in london (or anywhere in the western world for that matter)
Are these not your words?

@ Karmamod, there is no person in their right mind who would deny the outbreaks of ecoli/madcow, bird flu we have had in the UK, unlike some here, we don't front and live in denial.
huh

Btw since the water of the UK is supposedly pof "higher standards", why arent they drinking it from the tap? I mean you keep harping that people drink bottled water there. Why?

Why are the Nigerian "brits" of the board so obsessed with defending England while bash Nigeria completely. It's kind of pathetic.

There's a big problem of E-COLI in the water of New Jersey. If you drive there, there's all sorts of signs flashing "Boil Water! Mandated To Boil Water Before Consumption!!!"

If this happened in England, most of these people here would still deny it. Calling it a "Nigerian thing", some are still denying mad Cow diease sef. Silly people.

CH3COO:
With that said, does it matter too much the gross amount? If great actors and actresses are to be measured by the amount grossed in the box office, then those actors and actresses in Titanic would dominate wouldn't they?
Exactly! So may people dont understand. They think 'oh been in a big blockbuster = best actor". That's NOT the case

Alot of GREAT actors are in independent movies or movies that dont even gross as much. They are picky with the scripts they choose. They choose to be in movies that represent their talent, not CGI action stuff. And Its like most people dont even know that the movie is usually a blockbuster cos of the plot or story and not just for the actors.

Personally alot of actors I respect and adore and find them utterly talented are hardly in "blockbuster movies", but hey that's me. Christian Bale is one of my favorite actors and he just started getting true recognition when they made him Batman whereas he has way better movies under his belt

@Topic, Denzel is the actor, Will is the bank grin

But i love Don Cheadle. He has got to be the most underrated black actor ever!!! which is such a shame.[/color]
I know they wont get it. Sometimes I forget and actually argue about Film with people I really shouldnt even bother arguing with

I totally agree with you on Don. VERY good actor. I especially liked him in "The United States of Leland"
