PastorKun: As far as I am concerned buhari's 'qualities' are overrated and the best he can do is to send Nigeria back to the stone ages. His sole mission in govt is a vendetta mission whilst assuaging his bruised ego. It is very glaring to me even from buhari's utterances that he has no economic agenda for Nigeria neither does he have a clue of what to do to move the country forward.
He claims to be a man of integrity yet he can bank roll four presidential elections which costs several billions to do in this country and he is also in cahoots with some of the most notorious criminal politicians(Jagaban) in this country whom he hopes to finance his presidential lust for power.
That said no matter how much buhari and his cohorts deny it, going by previous well documented statements he made in the past and even his body language of recent, he remains a core tribalist and a religious fundamentalist who cannot rise above his primordial sentiments.
As far as achievements is concerned I fail to see any meaningful achievement he as done on his own as the much touted WAI and the anti corruption success of his regime was championed by idiagbon whilst buhari was assisting his cohorts to launder 53 suit c0ases full of money or is it his roll in the missing $2.8 billion we want to talk about. Also his days as chairman of PTF cannot be forgotten since there was massive corruption going on right under his nose and 90% of PTF projects were executed in the north. Even as he claimed he didn't steal money in PTF and so much money was stolen under his nose, it only means he was completely incompetent. Or is this not the same buhari that told us that Abacha was a honest man despite all the overwhelming evidence to the contrary One wonders what buhari's standards and parameters of honesty really is if he can declare Abacha as a honest man.
One thing is very clear to me, buhari has absolutely nothing positive to offer Nigeria and voting for him would be a vote for retrogression. The blood of the over 1,000 Nigerians killed by his supporters after the 2011 elections as a result of his unguarded statements remain on his head and may his likes NEVER smell power in Nigeria again in Jesus name. Amen
PS: this post is not an endorsement for GEJ as it is obvious to me that he leads the most corrupt govt in the history of Nigeria and his incompetence to tackling the security situation in the country is really appalling. OK good points, Since jonathan assumed power, you would have been canvassing as a youth i assume you are for good governance, enlightening people, and probably writing articles on how jonathan could further improve his government. Mind you, the youth population in Nigeria is well above 40 million. Do you mean not a single youth can champion such exercise since 2011, by now he would have gathered enough support. Given the present political atmosphere we have because the youths have clearly refused to take leadership roles, who would you vote for between JONATHAN and BUHARI ? . At least that is what we have unfortunately. |

ZIMDRILL: the transmission start with simple thing scan the car and also change the transmission oil
steering to the right all you need is that to be aligned aka wheel alignment what do you mean you gave a mechanic to check if the front tyres where OK are you a blind driver that can not see that the tyres are worn out ?
then on the exhaust am lost you say it makes a lot of noise but there is no leak, is the noise a metal to metal one or sound from the exhaust? a simple check if the exhaust is not leaking is closing the exhaust end with your hand and if there is a leaking you hear hear the pressure leaking
the on fuel consumption is it something you have observed or something you have told or comparing with a friend's car? For the transmission, the gear oil has been changed, as well as the gear sensors cleaned. When i said front tyres, i didnt mean the tyres in itself but the front wheels, my tyres are new, I hope you understand better now. The exhaust, the noise comes from the filter, inside. There are no leakages. For the fuel consumption, just used my initiatives to assume. And please i need you to recommend a good mechanic at oyigbo. Thank you |

Hmmm same individual, different political party's membership name. What would you say about politicians in Nigeria blowing sirene and bullying the masses to a box feeling like a mini god. Yet the moment they land heathrow airport, they join the queue. Isn't it same person in different environments. I just hope the so called progressives have a standard, but i still see them as same, but lesser evil than PDP that has looted nigerian to its knees. |

Car Talk › Re: Good Mechanic Of Honda At Oyigbo. Any Known Please??? by kart042000(op): 9:44am On Oct 28, 2014 |
While in motion, the rate at which it changes gear is unusual. It is an automatic transmission, and i expect a smooth transmission, but it sometimes jerk. I was advised to change the gear sensor or something.
The crv is a 98 model crv, it consumes more fuel than usual. I spend 1500 from berger to ikoyi and return. I term that to be expensive.
The salincer (please correct my spelling), i mean the exhaust anyway, it makes a very weird noise, and it is not leaking. I recently gave a panel beater that worked some stuffs inside, but it makes so much noise now. Initially it wasn't.
The steering keeps steering to the right in motion, i really don't know why. I am sure it has nothing to do with alignment or balancing. I recently gave a mechanic to check the two front tires if they were ok, and he padded it up with some round black rubbers. Now if i am making a U-turn, the tires drag a lot. |

Or Will he run to Dbanj Wizkid this time around for a solo expodebate.
*How and where do you even begin to defend GEJ? The only credit GEJ has is "EBOLA" stoppage. The other credit I will give to GEJ is for introducing diarisgodooo as one of Nigeria's widely used word, to score 2/100 is a waste of the human mind. Even Reuben Abati will win Gej in an election if he was to contest. At the end of the day the people that will determine the swing of the election are not on Nairaland, they can not afford the luxury of a laptop/internet connection as they have been impoverished by GEJ's clueless govt. PDP e-rats are too smart to make themselves available on that day, they will lock themselves up for fear of the unknown. Those who have been bartered by GEJ's poverty agenda and death of their loved ones in the hands of boko boys without compensation from the govt, and have nothing to loose are those who will show up at the polling booths. The memory of the butchered Igbos during his last defeat is evergreen. Is it okay that the president was celebrating while Nigerians were been killed? Yar adua was proactive and arrested yusuf(even though killed by policemen), the boko haram senior member, Jonathan claimed boko haram are our brothers, terrorism is all over the world so we should bare it as it would soon be a thing of the past. But now they are proactively fighting to win points for 2015 election. To the OP, would you like Nigeria economy to be like Kuwait, Saudi or Qatar? Are Christians not going into those countries to work? Obj said Jonathan is training snipers, and dokubo made statements like Nigeria would be grounded if Jonathan does not win. Must you lot always trend on religious and ethnic divide, Nigeria is rich because of our diverse cultures, religion, we can blend with any world economy, but you people have chosen to implode with such blackmail. He had the chance to enforce sharia as a head of state, he didnt. In Manchester, the society/community of the jews is just after the pakistani community and they relate well. That tells me it is how the leaders manage the society. Mind you, another set of terrorists are been groomed in the south south. Watch it, i am a christian and i am neither a pdp or apc fan, all i want is good governance, and jonathan is just a NO NO. |

adisa009: Youth consciousness antidote for better Nigeria AA Rasheed
Without an atom of bias or sentiment, 'we' the youth of this nation (Nigeria) should collectively reject the reelection bid of Mr President. Politics or not he had failed us! I hardly see anything positive to point instead, his administration gave us bad names, national & international ridicule, bloodshed & soul massacre of inconsiderable still counting figures and further impoverished us as a national of this republic. As much as I agreed with baba Obsanjo style of leadership, his school of thought on politics is likened to that of Italian philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli whose definition of power and ways to retain it remain cunning and devilish. He engaged in power tussle with his rival (vice president) Atiku Abubakar all for revenge purposes. He handed over the mantle of leadership of a quasy, no-pain no-gain nation like Nigeria to inexperience, compass lacking, phobia and corrupt blooded Jonathan whose personality within the power-monsters remained inconsistent and similarly peasant in nature. Why would you want the old fools reffered to as national, state or local leaders who are bent on taken power to their respective graves continue to rule us in this nation when it is obvious that they are devil's incanate and persistent failure! PDP has done more harm than good to us in this nation right from 1999 till date they've got no sector fixed yet they are praising and celebrating failure with crude ways and usual half-way-God, half-way-devilish system of installing themselves in the position of authority come 2015. Please my fellow country men of birth, give me West and let the South be, give them East and let the North be. I'm tired of quasy federalism that is known for unfair federal character! I'm tired of been ruled by mediocres and thugs with dented image even right from her/his nuclear/extended families. I'm tired of been ruled by vampires and hardened criminals without recourse to humanity! I'm tired of been ruled by the thieves in white babarigas whose real hibernate is located at Alagbon prison. I'm tired of been ruled by analog leaders whose brain remain retarded and blocked to appreciate digital offsprings whose memory charges often with modern developmental thoughts. APC or whatever party is not my concern they've got same folks and elements with self-centered qualities reposed in them as cross-carpeting and party jumpology further reflect their show of shame. Please my fellow country men&women, give me National Youth Conscious Party (NYSP) comprised of idealist and realist youths whose leadership style is humanitarian in nature, courageous enough to apply the tenets of rule of law to flush off old-cargos with red cold blood at hands. An innovative youth with high sense of global competitiveness and skills to strategize and approve of better human oriented policies for better Nigeria. A class attendee graduates with verifiable degrees not Toronto graduates with unmerited honourary degrees. General Buhari ought to have been a better have but he soiled his reputation by eaten back his words that he would not contest come 2015 while refers remain the case now. As a disciplined General and good muslim of his age, he ought to have keep to his words and field in a trusted candidate of impeccable charracter. I don't pray for any casuality at Aso Rock again, after the noble gentlemen soul President Yar'adua of blessed memory. General Buhari should feel much honored remained in the council of state as a statemen & advisory body instead of dying as a toothless politician whose hope is recurringly dashed for unfounded national religious affinity and high sense of value immorality on the part of his competing clans. Another beautiful write up, but my school of thoughts tell me with such a party for the youths, don't you think the current system of governing Nigeria is too expensive? I am sure it was designed that way to frustrate a genuine leader from affording the exorbitant charges even from INEC, therefore you would most likely need a God father who had stolen from the treasures of the country or a 419 or drug baron to sponsor. It is still a good starting point to have a youth party, but i ponder, the youths we are talking about, are they not the ones bashing themselves daily over PDP 2015 and APC 2015. What a confused nation. As fela would say, suffering and smiling. Demo...Crazy |

VEHULEAOLCOM: WHAT NIGERIANS NEED IS A PRIMARY ELECTION CONDUCTED OVER SIX MONTHS IN ALL THE STATES,WHERE ALL THE PEOPLE RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENCY GET TO ARTICULATE WHAT THEIR MANIFESTOS ARE FOR THE COUNTRY,ISSUES THAT THE COUNTRY FACES ARE DISCUSSED AND THE PEOPLE ASK THEM QUESTIONS AND DOCUMENT HOW THEY WILL SOLVE PROBLEMS IF ELECTED.WHOEVER WINS THE MOST VOTES IN EACH STATE BASED ON WHAT THE ELECTORATE DECIDE ON THE ISSUES BECOMES THE FLAG BEARER FOR HIS PARTY THAT WILL CONTEST IN THE GENERAL ELECTION WITH THE OTHER PARTY. THIS WILL DO TWO THINGS,ONE ,THE PEOPLE WILL KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN SOMEBODY IS ELECTED BASED ON THE ISSUES IRONED OUT IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION WITH THE ELECTORATE,TWO,IT WILL ELIMINATE CANDIDATES THAT PEOPLE DO NOT WANT,AND THE POLITICIANS WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE. JUST HAVING A PARTY CHOOSE A CANDIDATE BASED ON THINGS NOT DISCUSSED WITH VOTERS IS NONSENSE,THIS IS ONE REASON WHY THE ELECTED OFFICIALS DONT PERFORM. Well said... I remember Jonathan not coming for debate in 2011. Do you think he would allow such initiative fly? |

youngwolf: See am not so interested in politics, but I think ve read a lot about Nigerian history and most of the things u listed out here re lies...the man buhari never had any knowledge about the coup, the military top brass den decided the shagari regime had to go becos corruption was very rampant, he (buhari) was chosen to lead a new regime as a senior officer who was deemed capable to clean the mess left by the shagari regime
2 there is not one military regime ever in the world without records of human right abuse
3 as for felas case he was a problem for different military govts. From OBJ to IBBs time. Infact his mother was seriously injured in a raid by security forces during OBJs regime which lead to her death
4 and for ur corruption claim, I believe his govt then was overthrown because of its strict policy on corruption and indiscipline. And that why most people re afraid of the man.
Like I said I'm not into politics but these lies have got to stop. Its such a shame that most people typing on political threads would say they are graduates, yet for them to do simple research they won't. They believe whatever lies PDP has planted into their hearts, yet same people would complain that Nigeria is not working. I am still of the opinion that buhari is a man of integrity, but he is old, he should know a younger person of integrity he can support. But if all we have is still jonah vs buhari, buhari is still a far better candidate. jonathan claimed to remove oil subsidy partially, till date we are still exporting our crude and wasting all the other values in a crude oil. PDP should even leave the elms of power, 15 years and nothing to show. |

APC is going nowhere becos of the lack of insight and wisdom to choose rightly a credible presedential candidate, and mind u gej is not more corrupt than buhari, is just dat he is being envied by egrigious politician who want to bring him down. There is no envy towards Jonathan, to whom much is given, much is expected. You might want to read this https://www.nairaland.com/1882714/buhari-1983-1985-vs-jonathan-2010-present.PDP should just leave the mantle of power, the gross abuse is too much. Even if PDP wins lagos state through Jimi Agbaje, it is a welcome development so the likes of tinubu would not just think the state belongs to their family line. As for buhari and idi-agbon, have you ever pondered about it that without buharis support, idi agbon wouldn't have been able to accomplish all that he did. As we speak, what roles does Sambo play politically? What roles did Jonathan play under Yar'adua? But Atiku played lots of roles under Obj because he got obasanjos support. I dont support mediocrity, neither do i play on religious lines or ethnicity, but Jonathan is a NO NO for me. |

Raiders: Buhari is responsible for human right violation of many Nigerians including Fela. Buhari is anti democratic and was responsible for a coup that remove a democratic government. Buhari was part of the most corrupt government ever in Nigeria history which is the Abacha government. Nigeria deserves better than buhari. Even though i am of the opinion APC ought to flag a younger candidate who is a person of integrity and character. You don't have to rule twice to make your name in the hearts of men. Mandela ruled just once even after sacrificing 27years of his life in prison for his people. Jonathan is a NO NO for me, everything about him oozes corruption and clueless. If you want to bring any economy down, input corruption into their way of life and that nation will fall. You need to do a little research on who ousted Shagari, and mind you what buhari/idi-agbon achieved in 18 months, no govt has achieved such. Nigerians were respected globally, it all declined after IBB came in, encouraging 419 and drug barons, such as what obj lamented as our present day problem in Nigeria. Voting out PDP to any other party LP, APC or what have you would simply make the pdp sit up and realize that Nigeria is not their heritage but belongs to all of us. |

For pressure washers, i know you can get them at alaba and aswani market. while you can sell air fresheners to customers, you get those at trade fair as well. If you want to stand out, i would advice you to do a little more research on claying, polishing, glazing and waxing. The materials are expensive, therefore you need t know your target market and ensure they can afford the extra beauty given to their vehicles. You might want to include some free services such as polishing customer shoes for free. Selling asun and shawama. You need to ensure the location is not a sandy area, because i know benin republic is very sandy outside the ecowas main road. PM me for more tips. setting one up too. |

My personal take on this subject, it is quite shameful Nigeria lost it after IBB took over, I can only imagine how great the nation would have been. Jonathan had the privilege to prove to Nigerians for 6years of his capabilities. When do we want to start getting things right in this country? I dont care how many roads he built or is building, how does that add up to the gdp of each family. If he enters again for another 4years, if worse things beyond boko haram goes off, we will suffer it and he wont because their is a large disconnect between his government and the people, and his body language is as though someone who believes God anointed the post for him, so he owes nobody any explanation for his inactions, rather he would blame it on others, or say he met it like that, then set up a committee for Nigerians to forget about that issue and prepare to face the next issue. As for Gen. Buhari, people claim he has lost 3times forgetting that even yaradua accepted it that they rigged him in, so I need another definition of success, is it peoples opinion, or just the powers from the govt? Agagu lost in ondo, and was declared winner from abuja, do you term that a win. Even though the court was eventually able to upturn that, it is easier at state level compared to the federal. I actually wonder who GMB political advisers are, he is a good man, with good intentions, but he cannot cheat nature, the energy and zeal cannot be like 30years ago, he needs to support a younger person to whom he can trust, a person of integrity and character, a person who is accountable, open and honest( does not have to be hausa, anybody). He should flag such a person out. If GMB is still so eager to be part of the govt, he can be selected for the EFCC chairman, I am sure so many people ex govs and president would flee the country. Under this present administration, a lot of people have died untimely, and nothing is been done to prevent a future occurrence.
As for those clamoring GEJ till 2019, I pray your family, friends dont get involved in the plague consuming the land all because of negligence from the govt. Everything in life is not about money, if you sell your conscience because of what you have to benefit today, dont forget IBB had it all, now he has lost his wife to cancer, he his aging, and has no freedom to tour the country, go to Nigeria resort to relax because there is none functional. One day you would get old too, if you dont clamour for change, your children might not benefit from a good country called Nigeria. |
