Some of these Nigerian lecturers don't deserve any pity most especially the yoruba ones. Go to an hausa lecturer as an hausa student, tell him your plight and he'll listen to you, go to an igbo lecturer as an igbo student, tell him your tribulation and he'll listen to you but go to a yoruba lecturer as a yoruba student, tell him your ordeal and he'll send you out of his office raining all sorts of insult on you and even tell you that you must be very stupid. A yoruba lecturer is not interested in seeing his fellow yoruba brother succeed not to talk of a foreigner. I remember what I faced back then in 2006. When Dr Olagoke's daughter and wife died within a week, we all celebrated.

ARADAGUN UNDER SIEGE: TOWN HALL, BAALE’S HOUSE, CHURCHES, SHRINES, MANY HOUSES, 615.95 ACRES MARKED.
Before Tuesday, December 6, thousands of the residents and business owners in Aradagun, a major community in Olorunda LCDA of Badagry local government of Lagos state, never believed in the possibility that the possession of entire 615.95 acres village by the Agoloto family of Ganho quarters of Badagry will at land.

According to eyewitness who spoke to DE VOICE, “yesterday, the 6th of December 2017 at about Noon, certain people and camera men and Police men stormed Aradagun town, pasted Court notices on houses, used permanent paints to write on walls and locked up the Baale’s house”.

“Two signposts stating that “Ganho family is the sole owner of Aradagun land” were erected.

“One signpost was placed at the Baale’s house and the other at the community market popularly known as Ajagamibo market. ”

“Almost every building has the inscription: “BD 22/05, Possession taken today:6-12-2017, by Court Order.”


Another Eye-witness says that the Baale was nowhere to be found as he denied been a citizen of the town and fled the palace.

Efforts to reach, Chief Joel Bolaji Falola, the Baale of Aradagun proved fruitless when DE VOICE Correspondents visited his home at about 11:45am on Thursday, 7th December, 2017.

A Chief of the Community who simply gave his name as Chief Are of Aradagun confirmed the incident and told DE VOICE Crew that the Baale was indisposed.



Going round the community, our Correspondents report that the residents of the town are presently in a state of confusion and apprehension as the people are saying, “no one knows when the Ganho family are coming to gain full possession of the land”.

Now the hope of the present buyers and occupants of about 619.95 acres of land in Aradagun in Olorunda LCDA in Badagry local government of Lagos state has been dashed as the Supreme Court of Nigeria has delivered a landmark judgment that has proclaimed the descendants of Agoloto family of Ganho quarters as the original owners of the
DE VOICE investigation reveals that the age long legal battle first gave the title-to-possession to Agoloto family in a suit No 97 of 1936 before his Honour, George Graham Paul as Judge.

The face-off was between Zannu-Roko and Nuatin Moiett versus Ezun, Ajasa, Akangbe, et al.

A stakeholder told DE VOICE that “While the battle lasted, the warring parties went back to court in the year 2000 in a Suit No ID/554m/2000 in the High Court of Lagos State in the Badagry Judicial Division Holden before Honourable Justice H.A.O Alogba.”


“Also, in year 2000, “the conflict of whether the defendants were on the land in dispute the consent of the plaintiffs or not” was also resolved then by the content of a letter of the committee of Obas and Chiefs in Badagry local government dated September 27, 1977.”

“The Court thus, perused the content of the letter of the Obas and Chiefs cabinet, which was address to the plaintiffs through their Counsel.”

“The Court under Justice Abiru in that year 2000 joined the committee of Obas and Chiefs in Badagry to reaffirm the ownership of the land by the plaintiffs and stated that the defendants occupied the land as customary tenants of the people of Ganho quarters of Badagry town.”
