symbianDON: the truth is bitter my friend! once you become a tv star (an actress for that matter), it becomes your responsibility to become properly 'educated'! what stops her from getting a personal trainer? she can't just go around embarrassing herself!....and yes! it is my right to launch attacks, if that will get her to learn to speak better English language. by the way, who made you her personal spokesman
symbianDON: as always, naija 'stars'...always excessively full of themselves. empress should be ashamed of herself. a tv figure who can't polish her spoken English.....see the imp claiming 4am was the reason she couldn't write her English correctly!!!! ooooh!! I never knew the ability to speak good English was time based. lol @empress.
Abeg sharap. Not everyone had the opportunity to be properly educated. Its however, not ur right or the right of anyone to launch personal attacks based on something as flimsy as grammatical errors.
bluaero: It's funny how we take things at face value.
How did we get here?
A sensible leader looks to carry everyone along so that he can effectively carry out the required leadership objectives.
This coward that overthrew a democratic government but was kicked out of office without a single bullet is the reason for the hardship and confusion in the country today.
1. Only him is causing a rift between the three arms of government with his outright foolishness, threatnening our democracy. 2. Chasing all foreign investors out of the country with his hopeless policies. 3. Created numerous agitations all over the country (IPOB, NDA, etc). 4. A grand patron to fulani herdsmen 5. Chasing his personal and political enemies under the guise of "fighting corruption" - more funny is how some people are swallowing this deceit (the dolt has singlehandedly converted supposedly learned individuals to obvious dundees - or zombies) 6. Bringing back the days of militancy, bombings and kidnapping. 7. There will never be a more hypocritical president in Nigeria 8. Prices of everything we know has sky rocketed 9. Stable electricity has become a thing of the past 10. Unemployment and job losses at a world record high 11. We have never been more divided in the history of this country - we now hate each other's tribes so much! If i continue to list there wont be enough space or time......
Buhari even your zombies don't want you to fulfill any promise again. Just restore Nigeria to the way you met it! You are a curse to us!!!
May joint air strike from Sango, Oya, Obatala, Amadioha, Thor, Zeus, Superman, Batman, Ogun, Captain America, et al obliterate your existence!
naijaking1: Thanks, at least someone understands English. No information on this matter means a lot of things, like it's before a court of law and we can't comment or the FBI is still working on the case, etc
FBI working on the case...because you are the FBI spokesman ba?
reserved111: Gudday pals, it all started this way; I do patronize her mum in their restaurant smtimes she sends d food over, somehow I took her digit so as to order for food when I needed. As time goes she started by calling to say hi even when their restaurant is not open. Now d calls is frequent even at midnights and sundays. As time goes she added me on all social platforms and always wants to chat me up. Now she even check my phone and questions about my chats wit girls, also asks for t-fare and gifts. My problem: this is not what I bargained for besides she is only 17 while I'm old enough to be her dad. As I'm 31. She even went as far as questioning my frnd on fbook... Pls pals how do I tell her dat it can never be possible for me to keep her. She is too young for all this and I'm a principled guy. Tnks : Kelvin
Relax...the girl has done nothing wrong. No need to go all nuclear on her. Just slowly drift away.
bidexiii: @katyusha you said it all but u spoilt it with ;"accurate mortar fire".........
When u av a 12.7 & 14.5mm she'll blazing from all directions. Mortar for his not a effective CION weapon. A mortar can only be effective if ur base is well fortified/protected i.e Hesco bastions or stalked sand bags
I disagree..the 81mm mortar employed by N.A troops has a 25m blast radius with HE shells having a 40m blast radius..enough to wreck any technical gunners. 50 shells would have inflicted serious casualties on the attackers to buy the troops time to regroup and and destroy ammo caches if retreating is necessary.
Henry240: 1, Those terrorists with poor fire discipline cannot fight, i can't seem to phantom why, apart from overwhelming numbers of marauders they over-run military bases.
I concur...The virgin-hunters were like sheep without a shepherd..No coordination, no nothing. But, of what use is. coordination when you have enough firepower to drench a base with 12.7mm and 14.5mm shells? I have TONs of military documentaries on my laptop including many series on the war in Afghanistan, and ill tell you, even a USMC F.O.B would not have survived that attack without Apache support.
The cache BH siezed from that base is nothing compared to the booty at the MNJTF base at Baga. I have the vid of the attack, and there were clips of smiling insurgents emptying entire rooms filled with ammunition, artillery shells (to be used for I.E.Ds), rifles and even mortars. It was a disaster, so ill forgive the Nigeriens.
Someone praised the use of trenches by the N.A troops. But the truth is, sitting in a trench and returning fire against swarms of Dshk-armed technicals, is suicide. No ballistic vest can stop 12.7mm shells. The vest will be diced like onions in a blender. Hence the reason why the term "bullet-proof vest" irritates me so much.
The MNJTF should invest in Hesco bastions similar to the ones employed by the AMISOM forces in Somalia...Layers and Layers of barriers all well manned.
But the question that remains on my mind is, would that base have been overrun if the Nigeriens could have laid down accurate mortar fire?
I just watched the video..Here are my conclusions: 1. Boko Haram is far from being defeated. It can still mount large-scale attacks at will. 2. BH still has hundreds of battle-hardened foot soldiers on standby. 3. BH is still well-equipped with large reserves of AK-47s and AAAs like Dshks. 4. BH's Technicals are basically ex-N.A vehicles.
....... What's with Commandos and these glasses, i see a lot of Nigerian Commandos and ofcourse Commandos around the world wear them, what do they do specifically asides blocking the sun rays and debris from entering the eyes?
I remember watching a Polish Special Ops documentary a couple years back, the Polish commando said his eye glass could stop a 9mm round.
Shades like that aren't off-the-shelf kind of purchases..the N.A has to buy hundreds.
Henry240: Cool gear. I know they are a Shia political movement,......
...... Aren't they declared a terrorist group by America, Israel and Saudi-Arabia?
Forget the Zionist propaganda, even Nelson Mandela was termed a terrorist by the U.S and its hawks...Hezbollah is not just a militia, its a Legal political movement in Lebanon with influence in Jordan and obviously, Syria. The Sunnis have built up a savage army and disguised it as ISIS(or IS, or ISIL, depending on what mood they are in), This is the reply of the Shias to their cavemen distortion of Islam... Game On!... Nice gear though.
wokomabest: don't put GEJ on this he is no more in government for more than one year now.our problem lies with buhari.so mark his report card like this; APC- zero, Buhari- zero
GEJ was a FAAR better president.. Problem is, his government was EXTREMELY corrupt.
M14A1: Corruption is enshrined in Nigeria's constitution. The earlier we stop under the table dealings under the pretense of guarding national secret the better.
So many people have become billionaires in this country via kickbacks from unrecorded "acquisitions"...Henceforth, the Ministry of Defence should include ALL intended acquisitions in its budget for a Financial Year. Period.
bidexiii: I don't want to go into too much explanation. because these same question you asked has being argued quite number of times.
because of the underground thing/secrecy way we deal when it comes to arms/hardware procurement its very hard to tell the exact numbers of t-72 we have in service currently. Some say 16 and some 70plus. But there is one thing I know for sure and that av seing with my own eyes .there are more than 16 units of t72 in our inventory.
The first batch of 16 T72m1 which where delivered by antonov heavy aircraft cargo. The t72 AV where delivered through shipment and transported to the north eastern frontlines. During the trial of the former NSA sambo dansuki claimed his regime bought 20 BMP1. He also claimed they bought over 100 Bigfoot MRAP but from a video I watched on youtube , the present NSA was in China and made mention of "30 units" they bought are rugged and they are doing well in the north east frontlines.
Still on the issue of t72 av seing like 2 units in Ojo military cantonment in Lagos , quite a few in jaaji zaria these same year and there is still quite numbers of units in the north east. Along Lagos -ibadan express way immediately after redemption camp av sighted four low-birds transporting t72 av covered with these kind of military shelter with holes used to cover them and am sure they are heading to the north.
My conclusion is you cant really tell the exact units/numbers placed when it comes to our defense procurement, especially the Nigeria army.
To ur last question the first 16units where T72 MI and the test which came through shipment are originally T72 AV types.
Why does the N.A never include major acquisitions in its budget? So that backyard sales can make some Generals rich? It beats me.
@Bidexii, Do you have any idea how many T-72 MBTs are currently in the N.A's service? Do we have just 16 units? Also, are the N.A tanks with ERA the T-72AV? Or just the old T-72M1 fitted with ERA armour?..
ronald4ever: Who gives a fvck about anyone's opinion on how I choose to dress? I sag when I'm heading out clubbing, movies and sometimes parties, but moderately and not too low. And I don't give a tuppence about what anyone thinks.
Tbanton: I hrd d NA are not incharge of dis yr Dssc/Ssc selection, there's a committee set aside for that, just 1 or 2 NA oga's was included in d committee,.
obilli: Am still in shock! Yesterday around 6:55am I was driving to work and I got to the junction before Ebeano Tunnel in Enugu, saw a woman who looked elderly atleast in her mid forties flagging me down I didnt want to stop but on the second thought I stopped. I have been regretting that decision ever since. The Lady/woman tried striking a conversation but all that was on my mind was to drop her and head to my office at Presidential Road Enugu. After stating her name she asked my name and where I work since it appeared from my dressing that I was heading to work. I told her my name but lied about where I worked. Initially she said she was heading to Okpara Square which happened to be along my route to office when I told her where worked she changed her mind and said she would drop at Tuscann Hotel junction.
I had no problem since the junction is still close to my supposed office. Shortly before the junction, she insisted on giving me her number at that point I reached for my tablet at the back seat switched it on and dial her digits and then dropped my tablet beside me not at the back seat again. When she dropped i drove off and got to my office cos inside of me I was happy I had dropped her off. Just as I was about alighting from my car I started looking for my Tablet like play like play it wasnt inside my car. I searched everywhere even in my boot to no avail. At that point I realised I made a grave mistake by giving a total strange a drive.
On the other hand, it could have been worse than that. Enugu as a city dont wake up early unlike places like lagos so at 7am the roads are still abit scanty so she could actually snatch my car or kidnap me with no one knowing. Though the experience made me determine not to give lift to people which i normally do especially when am driving from Enugu to Awka.
But my question is why would someone wake up that early to prowl on innocent people? What could have been her motive of taking such high risk cos if I had discovered it earlier and raise alarm she could be mugged just for a tablet?? Please Enugu Residents be careful of giving people lifts.
Count your blessings...You could have been kidnapped or worse. Its just a tablet.
